The biggest Game 7 blowout in NBA history. 40 fucking points. Interestingly, after Game 2, the refs were told by Mavs coach Mark Cuban to call more fouls on Yao Ming. Since Mark thought Yao was getting away with too much.
@@railenherman6482 I wasn't going to bring that part up, but yeah. Game 7 had a lot of bad calls, especially in that second quarter, that made me go 'Are you serious refs?' But it shouldn't have mattered in that case. Up 2-0 is up 2-0.
@@railenherman6482 I'll also add in one more thing with Avery Johnson being their coach. If the Mavs had a half-decent coach during those years they wouldn't have had to wait until the LeBron Heat team to win a title.

I dunno I still consider the 2015 clippers a bigger choke job than the 20 bubble clippers. Because in 2015 game 6 they also had a home crowd behind them when they led by 19 points late in the third. To then let the worst 3 point shooter in history Josh Smith, along with Cory brewer, shoot you out of the building is probably the most comical clipper thing to happen. But you are a bit spoilt for choice with choke jobs for that franchise
I think a worse choke job for the Suns was the 1995 WCSF against Houston. They had a 3-1 series lead, and had a lead in Game 5 with 10 seconds left. Hakeem tied the game up to force overtime, and later win Game 5, had a halftime lead in Game 6, but lost by 13, and lost Game 7 (with a 10 point halftime lead) on a heartbreaking 3 by Mario Elie with about 5 seconds left.
For me, the most stinging playoff bust in Dallas was 1987 when the 55 win Mavs beat Seattle 151-129 in the first game, then dropped three in a row to be eliminated by the 39 win Sonics… the decider was played at Hec Edmundson Pavilion on the campus of U of Washington bc the Kingdome and Seattle Coliseum were booked. Maddening.
Pretty good list, just replace OKC entry w/1993-94 SuperSonics (63-19) 1st round choke to Denver. Otherwise good job of avoiding the dreaded recency bias.
It ain't hypocritical. He brings it up because Curry fans will always make excuses and that's why it's funny. It's not to make fun of Steph. People bringing up 2011 for Lebron is different. For the Lakers choke, you have to mention for the 1969 Finals that the coach Butch van Breda Kolff literally beefed with Wilt Chamberlain and to try winning the dick measuring contest he SAT HIM DOWN FOR GAME SEVEN, dooming any chance the Lakers had. To no one's surprise, he resigned immediately afterwards.
Celtics should be the 1982 Eastern Conference Finals where Larry Bird was just ok in a series where Boston almost came back from a 3-1 deficit over Philly AGAIN, but lost a home Game 7 in convincing fashion where Bird got outperformed by ANDREW TONEY throughout not just this game, but the whole series. Edit a month later: Forget what I said. This Game 7 tonight is the answer.
The 2019 Rockets were more egregious than the 2018 team simply because they were healthy, the Warriors lost KD and Steph Curry was having a first half from hell. Steph coming back isn’t surprising, but James Harden being nowhere to be found in the exact moment where it’s all tee’d up for him is why folks don’t feel he’s built like that.
I was expecting the 76ers biggest choke job being the 2021 Eastern Conference semifinals vs Atlanta where they blew a 18 and 26 point lead and Ben Simmons passing up on a wide open dunk.
🤣That’s the whole point see how dumb it is to say “the warriors weren’t at 100%” or “draymond got suspended” like there wasn’t two more chances to win one game when he was playing or like injuries aren’t apart of the game it sounds retarded to complain about when GS benefited from it the year before

2015 Atlanta Hawks saved basketball in Atlanta and in the State of Georgia. 2021 hurts more, to be honest, especially making the playoffs two straight years through via the Play-In Tournament. The Hawks are so far 1-5 in playoff games since the Eastern Conference Finals birth in 2021.

We'd have so many rings, alas none lol.) Anyhow, I believe our biggest chokes are actually '93-94, '94-95. We had 2-0 leads against the Rockets both years. If we get past them we're back2back champs in the 'Jordan-less' era. But Barkley, KJ and the boys just couldn't get it done. #Durant4TheCurseBuster lol
I say both if of those worse easily especially 3-1 lead and Phoenix had homecourt advantage. Thats why hate dumb Narratives that Bulls stop people winning.. Barkley had 2 chances
That’s what I’m saying. Yeah the Suns did choke in 2021 but Giannis just caught lighter fluid and there was nothing the Suns could do about it. The Suns were an even better team the next year and they had NO freaking business losing to the weaker Mavs in the second round
For the Pacers I would have went with blowing a 3-2 lead with Game 6 in Indiana in 1994 East Finals after the game that made Reggie Miller famous in game 5 at MSG
Was the Nets one really a choke though? Kyrie was inured in game 4 and out for the series, Harden was playing with a bad hamstring and missed the first 4 games. Game 7 was basically Kevin Durant by himself.
I disagree with Hawks - nobody REALLY expected anything from those sof ass Hawks, as well as the Raptors, when they were winning 60 games while Bron was in the east. Hell naw. Teams without a soul, you can choose any other choke Celtics - the new Boston team has a lot to show here. Losing a 0-2 lead to the Bucks in the Kyrie years. Losing to GSW in a complete meltdown last year. Even the Pierce/KG team had an inexplicable game 6 and 7 losses to Lakers in 2010, staining their franchise excellent standing in the legendary rivalry. That was a great choke job

I’ve heard it’s a combination of a lack of spacing, a slower pace, and some pretty darn good defenders. Nowadays if a team scored less than 90 in a game I’d take it they had a rough shooting night, and their opponent may have played good defense?
Yup as much as the 90's and early 00's is often remembered in a rosy lens, there are many games that are just unwatchable because it would be iso galore. Side note: At least in the 2000’s it feels like the conference finals on both sides were more interesting as a collective than the actual finals in those years.

@akaDOOD I love how out of all the hof players u named two pair of teammates😂
This dude is so effortlessly funny
The steph slander at 17:15 is just majestic. Never change Baz
Maddening.
Damn I didn't know Dallas got beat by a subpar team again like in 2007
Pretty good list, just replace OKC entry w/1993-94 SuperSonics (63-19) 1st round choke to Denver. Otherwise good job of avoiding the dreaded recency bias.
Obviously a major underperformance, and it belongs here.
But did the Sonics have a lead in the playoff series?
@@fortynights1513Yeah they were up 2-0 then the Nuggets took the next 3 games to take the series.
It’s funny that he complains about Lebron haters talking about 2011 when he never stops talking about curry and his choke in 2016
Crazy hypocrisy isn't it?
It ain't hypocritical. He brings it up because Curry fans will always make excuses and that's why it's funny. It's not to make fun of Steph. People bringing up 2011 for Lebron is different. Most of his fans don't make excuses for that series, but his haters will always bring it up to either diminish him or make fun of Bron.
@@NewWorldDreams47 as if lebron fans don’t make excuses?

@@XIN3OHdHe ain't absolutely wrong tho
For the Lakers choke, you have to mention for the 1969 Finals that the coach Butch van Breda Kolff literally beefed with Wilt Chamberlain and to try winning the dick measuring contest he SAT HIM DOWN FOR GAME SEVEN, dooming any chance the Lakers had. To no one's surprise, he resigned immediately afterwards.
I think we might need a new one for the bucks…
This whole vid was made just to make fun about the 3-1 Warriors loss 🤭
Surprise he didn't use the The Clippers matchup recently where they choked a 2-0 lead
The 3-1 against the nuggets was worse
2015 rockets vs clippers
12:42 Berry does a great job forgetting Curry's 4th ring
bro’s being steph curry’s skap attack
Barry, despite how many stupid jokes I've made here, your content is therapeutic sometimes 🤘🤘🤘
Very nice berry, your fight against premarital sex has saved so many unborn lives.
Hey Barry, I forget, are you a lebron fan? It's almost 10 am, and I need my hourly reminder
I was expecting the 76ers biggest choke job being the 2021 Eastern Conference semifinals vs Atlanta where they blew a 18 and 26 point lead and Ben Simmons passing up on a wide open dunk.
Blowing a 3-1 lead always worse
Honestly for the Suns, I was thinking of 2022, when they were horrible in Game 7 of the WCSF at their HOME COURT!
1995 Semi Finals vs Rockets.
Going to have to update the Bucks one
My man talking about Curry fans making excuses. But just mentioned Lebron's excuse about love and Irving being hurt like bruh. 😅
🤣That’s the whole point see how dumb it is to say “the warriors weren’t at 100%” or “draymond got suspended” like there wasn’t two more chances to win one game when he was playing or like injuries aren’t apart of the game it sounds retarded to complain about when GS benefited from it the year before
Love missing the whole series and Kyrie all but 1 game is very different than Bogut being injured a few games, Steoh allegedly being hurt and Green missing 1 game...
As a warriors fan listening to barry talk about the warriors cracks me up 😂😂😂😂
It’s funny hearing him eviscerate Steph and then later in the Heat segment say “this series is from 12 years and 4 rings ago, grow up haters” as if 2016 isn’t also a series from 7 years and 3 rings ago lmao 💀
In the 75 West Finals the Bulls had a 20 point lead in Game 6 at home. They lost. They had a 20 pt lead in Game 7 in SF. They lost.
that was a good video. u should do biggest chokes by every mlb team next time

“Haters act like it’s the last series he played in” when talking about lebron against mavs but only bringing up the 3-1 loss Steph curry had like it was HIS only series. Cmon Barry you’re making it too easy for these kids

Bro is forreal a Warriors hater 😭 he took his time going in on this team lmaooo
u getting so butthurt over brady winning & lebron losing so much in the finals is amazing
Look, I'm not a fan of Steph Curry being anti-affordable housing in San Francisco, but to mention that 2011 happened 12 years ago which is "way too long to hold a grudge" but then act like 2016 didn't happen 7 years ago, is kinda crazy. I mean Lebron stans gonna Lebron stan, but damn. Also are we saying that KD's foot is a bigger choke than them getting swept against a team people were saying they were better than? I get it was a 2-7 matchup, but the way people were meat riding was a lot.

Stop fucking saying Steph begged kd
To come
It was fucking Draymond
Excuse my language
But that choke job was unexpectable
Fun fact: the KD move to GSW was actually reported as a possibility long before the playoffs even began that year
KD already made a decision before Draymond came in
@@pudgebarrr No I literally mean like a year beforehand the Warriors were already thinking about going after KD. Not only did Draymond take less money so they could go for KD but there's even a bleacher report article from like 2015 where Klay's dad is talking about how the Warriors are going to go hard for KD lmao

I like videos like these. Very informative.
We all know Barry did all this just to stick the Warrior's 3-1😂😂 What a dedicated sicko.
I don't even think i've missed 27 threes straight

I find it interesting how many of these chokes were against a team LeBron was on.
73-9 Warriors choking 3-1 will never EVER get old until the dawn of time 😂😂
You mean end of time
Now I do agree that the 2018 Rockets choked bad but it didn’t help that Game 7 was terribly officiated…
Nah man for the Lakers it should’ve been 2004 Finals. Shaq and Kobe losing to Ben Wallace and Chauncey Billups is crazy.
That’d be a good choice, but did they lead that series at any point?
It’s different because the Lakers never lead the series to begin with. In Game 5, they were down 3-1.
Can we get a review of each playoff game similar to how you did for the weekly NFL review!?
Barry with the good content again
I was at Bulls Heat 2011 ECF Game 2. I would’ve put 2012 1st Round vs. Philly for Bulls and am wondering y u didn’t choose that Barry?

2015 Atlanta Hawks saved basketball in Atlanta and in the State of Georgia. 2021 hurts more, to be honest, especially making the playoffs two straight years through via the Play-In Tournament. The Hawks are so far 1-5 in playoff games since the Eastern Conference Finals birth in 2021.
We’re they about to be moved in 2015?
I feel like Skip Bayless still brings up the 2011 finals when he argues against Lebron
Credence Clearwater Revival even though they had a short run and ugly breakup, I still consider them one of the best bands of all time
can someone please explain the 2010 cavs off court thing?
thank you barry for not putting on the charlotte bobcats on this video
Barry uploading such heroic and objective content, truly a man's man 🫡
(Just wanna mention that if it weren't for a very callow OKC team, the two greatest shots in NBA Finals history, and COVID-19, LeBron would be known as my generation's Jerry West instead of compared to MJ.)

cant wait for the Suns part of the video 😭😭
Fuck…
It should have been 1995 Semi Finals vs Rockets.
As a Phx native and lifelong Suns fan I completely blocked out that backdoor finals sweep in '21 against the team who started our curse (losing a coin flip for Kareem....he stays in phx if we draft him - bet. We'd have so many rings, alas none lol.)
Anyhow, I believe our biggest chokes are actually '93-94, '94-95.
The Suns 2022 choked harder against Doncic than they did in the 21 Finals.
That’s what I’m saying. Yeah the Suns did choke in 2021 but Giannis just caught lighter fluid and there was nothing the Suns could do about it. The Suns were an even better team the next year and they had NO freaking business losing to the weaker Mavs in the second round
@@akeme25 Agreed. If your best scorer goes 3/14 in a 33 point blowout in game 7, after talking trash all series, that is a legendary choke job.

1995 Semi Finals vs Rockets.
For the Pacers I would have went with blowing a 3-2 lead with Game 6 in Indiana in 1994 East Finals after the game that made Reggie Miller famous in game 5 at MSG
Nothing like seeing the reaction on my wife’s boyfriend’s face when I tell him Barry dropped a new banger.
Was the Nets one really a choke though? Kyrie was inured in game 4 and out for the series, Harden was playing with a bad hamstring and missed the first 4 games. Game 7 was basically Kevin Durant by himself.
Ima GS fan but this video is hilarious 😭
I disagree with
Hawks - nobody REALLY expected anything from those sof ass Hawks, as well as the Raptors, when they were winning 60 games while Bron was in the east. Hell naw. Teams without a soul, you can choose any other choke
Celtics - the new Boston team has a lot to show here.
63 win Supersonics losing in the first round to the Denver Nuggets. The Sonics are coming back
I hope that it will feature Latrell Sprewell.

To be honest, it’s either this year (especially Game 7), or 2017 (Game 2 Boston Massacre).
@@shadowmamba95 that 2017 team was garbage definitely this year’s Celtics: 2 Max contract players dpoy guard very good supporting cast literally only thing u can make an exception about is joe mazzulla being a rookie head coach; also made the finals previous season, just god awful choke job
I'm so glad teams in the NBA don't struggle to get to 90 points anymore like they did for the late 90's and virtually all of the 2000's
The sacramento kings was a dreath of fresh air when webber, divac and peja was in their primes. The heat vs knicks rivalry in the 90s is some of the most unwatchable basketball game ever if they dont fight.
@@zenmar2415 I didn’t watch the game in those years, but some clips of games here and there are pretty interesting in my opinion.
It feels more like a chess match with the lower scores. I like it personally, but I get why those years aren’t considered the best by most.
Side note: At least in the 2000’s it feels like the conference finals on both sides were more interesting as a collective than the actual finals in those years.
If I'm not mistaken, the only opponent on this list with multiple entries is the 2021 Bucks (responsible for biggest chokes by Phoenix, Brooklyn).
Just call them the Milwaukee Darth Vaders.
