Multi Platinum Albums Out, Multi Platinum Album on the Way, Own Movie, etc he was everywhere and one Year Later 50 Cent came... early to mid 2000s was perfect as a teen....
That was the start of Eminem's Gangster era from 2002 to 2006, because he has changed his look by wearing oversized clothes, chains, gloves and wearing durags, he started to sound hard on the songs from TES like White America, Business, Soldier, When The Music Stops, Till I Collapse and also on other songs by different artists, he signed 50 Cent and his group that year, he got into beefs with Ja Rule and Benzino and that drove him to sound like a savage on his diss records like The Sauce and Go To Sleep, he also started to show his production skills, like Moment of Clarity, The Cross, Patiently Waiting, On Fire, Welcome to Detroit just to name a few, yeah, I can honestly say this was my favorite era from Eminem.
I love Eminem. I find it amazing how he struggled with addiction back then but in 2008 he went to rehab and became sober and he's been clean and sober for about 11 or 12 years now. When he became sober he released an album about his experiences in rehab. I'm pretty sure he also released an album about his experiences struggling with addiction. At least now he's no longer an addict. I will never forget when he became popular back in the late 90s early 2000s.
@@siddhantsourav9192 yes sir that 2 me is when he hit his peak, with the eminem show, the 8 mile movie, and the 8 mile soundtrack. He was truly on fire and every song he did around that time was just unreal. Imo the 8 mile soundtrack with loose yourself, 8 mile, run rabbit run, love you,rap game, and stimulate. Then wangsta was on th 8 mile soundtrack, and 50 had places 2 go, and obie trice with adrenaline rush. He even put young zee from the outsidaz on it.
@Goatchild90 He matured and calmed down around this time, compared to 1999 Em. People talk about how different he is now, but he already almost felt like a different person around 2002, compared to 1999-2001 Eminem, even his accent changed a lot.
@@crimson6952 The song When I'm gone is his final true meaningful song, literally young em saying goodbye to all of his early 2000s fans. There is no eminem without slim shady.
He became so big during this time it's pretty crazy how he was just an underground mc struggling to the BIGGEST rapper in the world in a span of 2-3 years 🤯🥶
2002 Em is possibly the most gifted musician to ever exist. no exaggeration, he for the most part self-produced his Diamond Hip-Hop album The Eminem Show with possibly the first *EVER* Diamond non-single (Till I Collapse, 8x Platinum on the verge of Diamond certification)
I love eminem's songs very much, I love eminem's films, I love eminet's acting, he is a talented person, and talented people are always talented in everything they do. eminem is the best artist, the best rapper, the god of turnip, the god of hip hop. no matter what year it is, eminem will always be the best in everything. I love everything he does.
where is this Eminem now? and dont say hes getting older. Jay z doesnt change drastically change . i can still see traces of younger Royce, but eminem is like a completely different person, like his brother who has same mannerism but different personality
He was 29/30 here and now he's almost 50 years old, so uh, I think the "he grew up" excuse kind of could apply here. He also almost fucking died and lost his best friend.

Eminem in 2002 was something else man. This was him at the highest peak of his career. If yall was around this time, yall witnessed greatness

Yeah Eminem show was the best as far as music and sales. Its my favorite for sure. After that he never reached the same heights unfortunately.

I like how he's saying "an artist has to grow, cause if not, what's the point" and everyone in the comments is shaming him for changing...
his personality has always been 100% authentic. I love you Marshall!!!
This is the Eminem I have in my mind and heart, I remember him pretty much like this.
Yea, when he grew the beard he kinda became someone else. This is the Eminem I grew up loving.

A GREAT INFLUENCER
20 years of The eminen show album

This was peak eminem imo
his peak was 2000 till 2002/2003 IMO. So for me around 2001 (8 mile music) was at its best in terms of creativity

It became the best selling album world wide that year
it became the best selling rap album ever (or at least, sales have outdone speakerboxx in recent years).
I love how candid and real he is and funny. I would love to be friends with him
Artists used to make us wait for 2 years to release an album to keep forever. Music wasn’t disposable
besides hov, every year from 96-03. 4 classics in there too
So Kool ✈️
