Gotta love soulbeast, with petswap back while merged it opens up so many unique builds with your pet combos really making the class a jack of all trades
Overall ranger is a fun profession to play, makes solo ventures incredibly simple and easy!
@@CaffeinatedDad and...if your goal is to be a griefer bitch, there really isn't a better class than ranger, with sicem soulbeast being particularly good at messing up those pesky deadeyes. Playstyle is easy in wvw. You shoot people in the back. If they run, you keep shooting them in the back. If they try to fight, then you run away until they get tired of chasing you, then you shoot them in the back. It's sort of the Lebron James of GW2.

I'll really have to force myself to play soulbeast and learn to use it. I keep swapping back to my core trapper after every loss because it just feels so familiar and fluid. ^^"
I play a lot Scrapper, mainly because I love being able to get those really clutch revivals and stuns that can swing the direction of a fight, and I've also been playing a lot of Specter lately and finding it a lot more effective since I realized I'd totally forgotten to change my amulet and rune setup when switching from Deadeye a few months back and had an absolute horrible setup for a condi build and I'd just never noticed, so I'd effectively been playing the spec with one hand tied until a few weeks ago.
Lol! That's just like my Mesmer, when I first started I was told everyone was on equal playing ground, so I didn't even notice I could equip ammys and sigils and shit lmao once I clicked the pvp build button on top..facepalm
And let me guess you did pretty well? Ha! Scrapper always has a spot for me just because of how strong they are and the hammer aestehic works for me!
This really makes me wanna pick up scrapper!
So far i've mainly been playing trapper ranger, which is always fun and my comfort pick by now.
I recently got back into (condition) reaper and i'm having such a good time! An absolute blast to play and with the weakness, boon corrupts and condi transfers it can feel quite tanky.
Honestly nowadays a great time to pick up scrapper! It's gotten a significant buff and get be high damage!

Really appreciating the content, I barely played a couple years ago when i got GW2 and now im getting back in and leveling up before I get Secrets of the Obscure but I cant decide on a class at all part of me wants to play engineer, part wants to play a Bow Ranger, part wants to use magic im so torn lol
Hammer spellbreaker is so much fun for me, with his durability and CC he makes a lot of good fights
And annoying! I can't escape from the constant cc! Lol
I love core mesmer and chronomancer. Literally unkillable and melts your face while smiling at you. I also enjoyed the condition mace shield berserker and the blade pistol daredevil.
I've been deleted by chronos literally in seconds... it is brutal!
I’m looking for a fun wvw roaming build for my necro and immediately thought of your green nuke harbinger build from this video. Would you recommend any changes if I wanted to run it in wvw or would you not recommended at all? Thanks and love your videos!
Been doing condi scrapper lately and lemme tell you, ut hits like a track and it delivers like one too. The heal you get and the cc you can deal is so good for 1v1 it's insane
any kind of fresh air ele is the go for me :D Also really recomend learning scrapper, if u get used to trowing granades while turning away with about face, that skill will improve your gameplay in every single class
Honestly I envy the pro engines that can do that! So good with the moves!

I main Ranger mostly but in PvP I rock Tempest, so much fun though I wanna give Untamed a try.
Tempest is surprisingly good as a dps to be honest! I've messed around and it can be strong!

I play as 2 daggers Daredevil, a lot of evasions, dodges, mobility, haven't tried any other spec in pvp

Hello! I have played alot of GW2 but sat the game down before the new expac and looking to come back. I've mained Weaver since it came out, but really wanting something a bit different. I'm kinda stuck between Guardian, Rev and Warrior. For PvP/WvW/PvE I'm really looking to have high mobility, good utility along with tankiness and sustain. Out of those 3 which would you really recommend to get good at?
Imo I'd say warrior has what you are after. Tons of mobility through a number of sources a day especially the might makes right trait that heals with might stacks you can have crazy sustain!
@@CaffeinatedDad It's funny that you say this, because I was hanging out in the Mists talking with Map chat, and everyone recommended Warrior to. I dusted off my OG Warrior and have been practicing Spellbreaker for PvP and I'm straight up in love. There is a lot of skill that I will need to achieve but MAN is it fun

Seriously curios, is this Scrapper build better than the Mortar Scrapper build floating around? how so? simpler? more survivable?
Well the main difference is that mortar has more consistent pressure while supply drop offers stun, healing and damage which can be great for teamfights.
full zerker axe/axe berserker is top of my fun list :)

Any recommendations for a newcomer? I say newcomer but I have an 80 reaper and a 80 Soulbeast Ranger HOWEVER i have barely played since Path of Fire and want to get my PvP jimmies wrustled since WoW is in an absolute state.
Both have some play of course, reaper imo is better rounded versus soul beast. The end of dragons specs are a bit harsh hitting right now but you can compete
How come you use Sigil of Cleansing when you can't switch weapons?
I suppose you meant with the Catalyst? Elemebtalust teugger the cleansing effect when they swap elements!
My go to sPVP spec is full glass canon Gunzerker. With two back-to-back unblockable 25~29k Gunflames that go through any defense other than full invuln or a dodge roll, it will delete any class in the game as long as you see them before they see you. Back when people were crying about how broken Cata was, I was shooting them down like fish in a barrel. Some even got mad/confused that my Gunflames went through their shields, lol. Same with Guardians, they'll put their shields up thinking its going to save them then BAM dead! 😂🤣
Fish in a barrel looool I did play a gun zerkers before and it was awesome!
I did the same build but 2 axes and gs really fun lots of dmg doesn't beat gunzerker in single target but aoe yoy deal a shit ton and just cleave down people
I tried playing the piano in PVP and it was super fun. I wasn't any good at it but it was fun nonetheless.

Been playing Scrapper primarily in WvW. I am regularly 1-3 in the dps charts and the number of downs. Its amazingly fun and survivable.
Scrapper is one of those specs that is just inherently fun! I have a blast.... pun intended!
VERY STRANGE : I want to put the skills on the buttons of my mouse but it doesn't do it I don't know why anyone know how to fix it it's very annoying now I need to push the skill I will lose to much time with that in pvp
try toggling numlock; mine didnt work til i did that.

Everytime i play a spec I get snowballed by one specific other spec, game after game and then I quit the pvp for a moment.
Last night I played Mirage and was kicking ass but the next day got obliterated by willbenders and dragonhunters…
Unfortunately gw2 pvp is a wild lands right now. Tons and tons of builds out there

Engineer or guardian for a a noob returning player? I have the first two DLC’s
Honestly if your doing pvp can't go wrong with guardian. Support or damage really good. Engineer is more micromanagement oriented however

@terranceb6517 in pvp you can instantly play as a mechanist, you don't need to Unlock it in pve! As long as you own the end of Dragons expansion

I'd say scrapper to start and catalyst to hone. Catalyst has a tougher time learning!

Sooo question, my buddy and I are playing through everything we are completely new but have ffxiv and wow experience. He is playing catalyst. We will be doing story and pvp but will eventually do one main. What class would you recommend I do to do well in pvp but also pve to allow us to blow through content. I don't want to be OP in pve then get dropped in pvp LOL
Catalyst is a great choice all around, they still are in a great spot for pve and pvp despite some minor nerfs. I like the scrapper from the engineer as well. They provide useful pve buffs while being fun in pvp!
The most fun build in all of PvP is Core Engie stun lock build. Don't sleep on Core Engie. It literally can comeback from a loss.

Deadeye's been pretty bad since they can't remove revealed anymore. Still great for dunking in less experienced folks though.

@@CaffeinatedDad yep, best WoW memories for me were 2v2s, but I only had really good partners for 3s for a few 8-10 match runs...never had a team that stuck. I haven't tried too much PvP in GW2 yet, but if we could figure a way to eSport that, might be great for the game.

Some of those builds turns gw2 into a first-person shooter almost. Just toxic
Pvp is a bit rough of late. Especially for someone trying to get used to it
I used to main soulbeast but it sucks a lot for wvw zerg play, it's great for roaming and getting easy long distance kills, but has little to offer to a team and instantly dies in clump play, pretty low mobility and kinda squishy. I'm maining vindicator now and its a lot more reliable for that style of play and adds a lot of utility to the team. Became my new main over night
