Hi Ma007rk, I thought I would try and answer your question regarding the pasta attachment. I too have the bosch Universal and I do use some of the attachments more than others. I don't have everything mind you. As far as the Pasta Attachment, do you eat a lot of pasta? Do you buy the expensive fresh pasta from the store? If you do then you will probably enjoy the pasta attachment. It is fun to play with all the different shapes. This recipe she uses in this video is very good.
I have a Bosch Universal that I am very happy with. However, I've found out that some of the attachments that you can buy for the Bosch I have to admit I am disappointed with. The Blender...I would put it up against a Vita-Mix any day of the week. The Food Processor? I wish I never had bought it. The Vegetable Cutter? Good choice. I said all of that to ask this question. Am I wasting my money with the Pasta Attachment, or is it really a good choice?
Ma007rk, I'm wondering if you ended up buying the pasta attachment and how it went. The video is a terrible display of its performance, the strands are crumbly. I notice the camera craftily backs up to not show that. I'm undecided on the blender since it appears they've switched from glass to plastic. Any advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what you mean. We have looked up pasteles and found them to be a Puerto Rican pastry and not something that could be made with a pasta maker

Yeah, not the right kind of flour for spaghetti. It seems like her's wasn't milled fine enough. Very clumpy.
@@MikeTrieu It is the correct flour. Durum wheat is what ALL pasta is made from. Her dough was too dry. Nothing else.
Real pasta doesn't have oil in it and spaghetti are normally made only with water.
You can make pasta with only eggs as well.
But definitely not with oil! Anyway, spaghetti are made made only with durum wheat flour and water. There is a sort of long and thin pasta made with egg, but it has a more or less square section and its name is tagliolini. Sorry for the fussiness, but when an Italian sees things like that, his heart breaks.
