Johana Tablada de la Torre, Cuba’s Deputy Director of U.S. Affairs, joins BT to explain what happened last week and why more Cuban people continue to defend their government in the face of a U.S. blockade and very difficult economic circumstances.

I tend to agree, unless you're a Rastafarian or prefer to use natural, non-addicting medication to treat your chronic painful condition, then you go to prison in Cuba.
The only country preventing Cubans from visiting the US is the US. By closing the consular services, many Cubans whose visas had been approved were left in a limbo. The program allowing Cuban baseball players to sign contracts with the American leagues was cancelled by Trump. Trump, and now Biden, stopped Cuban-Americans from sending money to Cuba, as a result Western Union had to leave Cuba. Flights from the US to Cuba have been greatly reduced. The inclusion of Cuba among "countries that sponsor terrorism", which has no basis in reality, which is completely bogus, was meant to further damage the Cuban economy and isolate Cuba. It's all one way hostility, from the US towards Cuba.
Big respect to the resilient Cuban people. There is another Cuba in Africa- Eritrea- a victim of the wrong US foreign policy for more than 80 years.
We the Eritrean and Ethiopian people are solidarity with the cubn government and people. Sanctions are a weapon of terrorism.
Add Nicaragua halti, Iran, Afghan, russia, Bolivia, honderous vensusvila syria to list also
The US embargo against Cuba, now 3 generations long and running, is illegal, shameful, disgraceful, cruel, monstrous and evil. The US is morally bankrupt, yet it goes about lecturing the world on human rights. The people of Cuba are some of the most heroic in the world. The country of Cuba should be awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace. Of course, Norway, which administers this prize, would have to ask the US for permission first.
That award means nothing to real people for peace, it gave that award to Obama, who did nothing foe peace, but help overthrow governments, and increased military troops in countries, and used more drone attacks killing innocent civilians than any other President

same here in Angola, cubans were a huge help in defeating the american backed south african army in the 70´s and we will forever be grateful for that. I visited Cube 4 or 5 years ago and it was amazing. Amazing people that I greatly admire.

Exactly I found that since like this one and grayzone tend to let us see both sides of story while the main streams propaganda news usually try to shut down the guests speech if it is against their narrative.

But Cuba is not the only country under cruel USA imposed sanctions. Iran also suffered due to USA sanctions that prevented them from obtaining medical equipment to combat COVID. They also had to develop in a hurry their own PCR tests and COVID vaccines. There are probably other countries too who suffered immensely due to cruel USA sanctions in the middle of a pandemic. Evil is what the imperialists do.

I support Cuba and am against any sanctions. Cuba would be so much better off if the US stopped interfering. The Cuban emigres and descendants of Cuban emigres have blocked any communication between our governments. That being said there is no similarity between China and Cuba or Hong Kong and Cubans in Miami period. IMO! How can you even justify any correlation between between China and any other country?
