A psycho with a crush on a comic strip character, now that's a first. This one was well written and the musical soundtrack is unique to this one episode. To me the 1968 to about 1975 seasons were the golden years of this show.
Except in this case, there happens to be a real woman who closely resembles his favorite cartoon femme fatale (actually I think the real woman was better looking), and might've been what he was seeking in a woman all along.
Airing on September 19, 1973, "Draw Me A Killer" on CBS's "HAWAII FIVE-O", was another of those intensely significant Five-O segments that dominated the quality of this series, pushing certain realism that you won't find on other cop shows from the 1970s. Actress Susan Foster, best known for her work on "BILLY JACK" (1971) and "THE BORN LOSERS" (1967) was among the guest stars of this Five-O drama.
MacGarrett's flashes of intuition on this show were little short of miraculous; it was almost as though the scriptwriters just couldn't think of a better way to move the action forward than allowing him one epiphany after another. I kid...this was part of the show's inexplicable charm at the time...
I Love The Original Hawaii 5 O Steve, Danny & Ben Are My Favorites!!! I'm In Love With Steve & Danny AKA Jack Lord And James MacArthur!!! :) Gary Was Such A Nice Guy In One Of The Other Episodes... His Name Was Gary in the other episode.
This was my favorite episode. 😊
I always love when Steve wears his sweater and when he eats chinese food with chopsticks.💕

Hi there. I can't think of what other episodes I might have seen Susan Foster guest starring. I wonder if that was the only one with her.
