    Fabulous show. Great stories. Every commercial break was a cliff hanger. Producers have forgotten how to do that today. Its called storytelling

    In the remake Five-O there was an episode in which McGarrett was a comic book hero.

    Now I remember - the cartoonist draws a Dano-like character to lure out the murderer. It's extremely convenient that the cartoon bad guys all closely resemble real people who just happen to have the same jobs as the characters do.

    Lately, this episode and "Leopard on the Rock" (season 2) have been the ones I've mostly watched from one of my all time favorite series.

    I think McGarrett accidently refers to Judy as "Julie" at 1:11.

      Yeah I hear ya. I'll have memories of 30 or more years ago, and then realize with a start that the people (including myself, at the time) were smoking in settings where that wouldn't be dreamed of today. Shopping malls, waiting rooms, hospitals, church basements, and libraries.

    Just saw this today on TV and something seemed odd. This clip of the older syndicated version confirms it, the cartoon version of one of the people shown has been edited out. I think you can guess which one. They do a good job of it though, they slow down the part where just the photo is shown so that audio remains synced. But if you watch closely you can see this results in the grit and grain slowing down on the film and giving it away. They also edit out the ca-chunk sound effect used in the other cases where the cartoon is brought up beside the photo.

      Hi there. I'm not sure who you mean. I saw four victims and each had their real photo and cartoon equivalent.

      @@FiveOClips - I mean I saw the show broadcast on a TV station yesterday. And as broadcast, it had the edit I mention. This older clip on RUclips is from before the edit was deemed necessary. If you have an email address I can email you the clip from the broadcast (I went back and made a copy with my phone).

    This episode, along with three others, "Hook Man", " One Big Happy Family" & "Samurai" (featuring Spanish actor Ricardo Montalban as a Japanese national) are my all time favorite episodes. Five-0 ran for 12 years & only produced 4 decent episodes.

    • @mercoid
      @mercoid 5 лет назад +1

      Dino Di Lucido ....Ricardo Montoban was in the racing car episode. The actor who played Mr. Spock’s father on Star Trek played the Japanese guy on the Five-0 you’re talking about.

    • @ZedAlfa.
      @ZedAlfa. 5 лет назад +3

      You're incorrect.
      You're thinking of the episode "Death Wish on Tantalus Mountain." The episode I'm talking about was called "Samurai" and had Ricardo Montalban as well. The other episode your thinking of with Mark Lenard (Spock's father) is called "To Hell with Babe Ruth."

About the weirdo who was killing women and putting blonde wigs and make up in them to make them look like the prostitute he was obsessed with. Your right my friend hawaii five 0 sure had alot of episodes that were awful and only a handful of good ones

"Nightmare in Blue"... the "V" for Vashon trilogy... "deathwatch"... "forty feet high and it kills"... "all the kings horses" and MANY more... WAY more than just 4 certainly
