Criminally underrated, imo this is one of Triumph's best albums. Naysayers are either tone deaf, brainwashed by pop media or are simply too young to appreciate the 80's.
I absolutely love Triumph. Three outstanding musicians creating epic music. I saw them four times live in the 80s. One of them was in Evansville in March '83 on the Never Surrender tour. We were right up on the rail in front of Rik Emmett. We had sunburns from all the pyro lol!!!
@@davidtimms9615 Man, you are so fortunate to have attended a TRIUMPH concert. I never had such opportunity as I as too young when TRIUMPH was a touring entity (but I still remember the TV commercials on CTV CFCF for the 'Thunder Seven Tour' in 1985 and 'The Sport Of Kings Tour' in early 1987). I would give anything to see TRIUMPH in concert. Long live the talented Rik EMMETT and the music of TRIUMPH♥!
I remember when this album came out. I loved it and thought they were VERY under-rated! This is my favourite album from them. Why they don't play any of these songs on the classic rock stations, are beyond me.
@@DeathRiderDoom True. TRIUMPH is a Canadian band. However, TRIUMPH owe the U.S. a whole lot of gratitude for much of its success outside Canada. TRIUMPH first broke out of San Antonio, TEXAS; and the word spread through much of the American midwest, north east, and later southern success in California and Florida. TRIUMPH's international record deal with the Record Company of America (RCA) and later with MCA Records also allowed the band to further its career outside Canada. Canada is a small market population-wise; and due to its geography, it's a vast country and very expensive to tour from coast to coast, so not many Canadian bands can survive long term without success in major markets like the U.S., the EU and Japan (there are a few exceptions like the TRAGICALLY HIP and BLUE RODEO).
This track and video are truly killer. They were going for a sort of "Asia Astra" vibe but still doing their own thing. Awesome and underrated as hell.
Had a 300 watt Pioneer amp pushing 4 - 6x9 triaxials blasting down Rush St in Chicago - had three coppers tell me to turn it down in the space of little over two blocks.
My favourite song from Triumph, I wish they still play it on the Canadian airways, radio stations only play Magic Power and Lay it on the Line to death!
It is my absolute fave from them & one of the greatest AOR/Rock Tunages that EVER Lived !!! And isn't the video pretty wholesome too ??!! Gotta love the Sci Fi Movie Vibes 😍🤟🤘
One of the greatest AOR/Rock Tunages that EVER Lived and Its Lyrics are some of the most INSPIRATIONAL I've ever read and heard....Absolute and Total UNDERRATED Musical Masterpiece 👏🤘🤟
Oh, my guitar hero has arrived. I like the wonderful intro, dear Rik! Your creativity is a real class art! I learn to play the electric guitar and you are my biggest influence. You seem not to be spoiled with a fame! How I like your passages! Lots of love from Russia!
Rik Emit is a genius I saw triumph in the 80s he played a solo into the morning I think it was 2 am when we got out they owned that stadium for the night I was there wow fuck yes
errrr, RUSH would like to have a word with you. Triumph are criminally underrated (or at least Rik is, the other two were just "above average" as far as I'm concerned. Rik is a genius, but all three members of Rush were simply top-notch, in another universe. All 3. Just my opinion.
Okay I just picked up a very worn tape with this song on it and it's the studio album but it's a slightly different version. Can anybody explain what's happening here?
The videoclip incorporates a brief instrumental titled 'Prologue: Into The Forever' : ruclips.net/video/DfIrREDUmsk/видео.html . Hope this solves the mystery. Long live TRIUMPH's music and the amazing Rik EMMETT on guitars and lead vocals.
Remember the tv series '24' ? She played the wife of the lead character and was killed off after the 1st season. Leslie Hope I believe her name is. Shes from Halifax, Canada. Imagine that.
Eu sou apaixonado por essa epoca ,so banda e musicas fodas, fora q devia ser foda os clubs o clima as bandas , emfim devia ser muito foda a epoca em q muitas bandas faziam sucesso e turnes gigantes lotando estagios
A great song but the video makes no sense. Is that elton john? Damn women of the 80s were so hot. Pure eye candy. This. Is coming from a 57 yr old. Great music back then.
THE most underrated band ever!!Love Triumph, Rik Emmett is a guitar wiz with an incredible voice!!
right up there with Saga, both Canadian legends.
So true
@cindy Hello😊🌹
@Cindy, I think you're interesting 🙂. Thanks for being an amazing one
@@cindyimhoff2359 well, you could reach out on this, the first digits is 1 3862 then followed by 057 and lastly 180. When you get it let me know
The guitar intro and the catchy chorus and sci fi theme , make this one of their standouts.

@@mikek.841 I felt the same. MCA Records didn't promote the album. This record should have been multi-platinum with proper promotion and marketing.
Tremendous song, what a band
One of the greatest songs by Triumph a great hard rock 80s band that kick ass Rik Emmett a great guitar player so underrated 😎🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸🎸🏋️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Why post an American flag? They are Canadian. Possibly the greatest Canadian rock band ever.

Great Band Great Power-Trio Canadian ⚡🔥
"If your not aware of history your doomed to repeat it", this line holds so true right now. Thanks, Gil, Rik& Mike!
The world needs TRIUMPH!!
This track and video are truly killer. They were going for a sort of "Asia Astra" vibe but still doing their own thing. Awesome and underrated as hell.
One of the best and underrated bands ever and the documentary on their history is badass
Just watched the documentary "Rock & Roll Machine " one word "AWESOME" !

Remembering ...my old cassettes... Good band
This intro is haunting me since 25 years

Wore this CD out when it was released. Every track is a gem. Too bad it was the last.
Great song
Happy 35 years!
Released on July 27, 1987
Uno de mis temas favoritos del grupo, suena muy melódico y tiene un gran ritmo, es pegadizo y se disfruta a tope.
This band knew how to sing and entertain the origiators of light and pryro !!!
Awesome tune!
This song is in the category of "sweeping epic" like, it's literally so amazing.. why isn't this one of THE stadium rock classics??
Oh, my guitar hero has arrived. I like the wonderful intro, dear Rik! Your creativity is a real class art! I learn to play the electric guitar and you are my biggest influence. You seem not to be spoiled with a fame! How I like your passages! Lots of love from Russia!

Excelente tema musical y video del hard rock de los 80 sin lugar a dudas la década de oro de la música internacional
The glam metal/ Heavy Rock period....great song.
This is one of my favourite prologue/songs of all time. The others are Danger Danger’s Beat the Bullet and China’s Second Chance
the best Canadian band

Great Band From Canadian ⚡🔥👊💪😎🤘
Good song
Great song 👍😀
This was a great song that never really got its due. Great video too. But it was near the end for the band unfortunately.
Great album too.
Personally i think triumph is seriously underrated as a band on the whole. Soooo much talent... and that voice!
Agree
They are #1

Класс высшей категории.
I just love how Mike Levine never lost the mustache and dirty, thick hair. This is 1987, but he's looking like it's 1975 lol
the porn star mustache.
Who is the lady in the video??? She is smokin hot

TRIUMPH THE BAND
Killer album by a killer band
Yesss
I wonder what happened to this spacesuit they made for this video? Hey Ric!!!!! Do you keep it?

Wunderbar
nunca digas nunca con triunfo de canada fantastica
It's a shame the record companies did these guy's wrong, otherwise we may have had more music from them, but we do have a lot of cool tunes from them
MCA Records SUITS really screwed TRIUMPH up. The record label dropped the ball and simply didn't promote 'Surveillance' outside Canada, that is.
I don't understand why they are not in the Rock and roll Hall of fame.what are they wanting for?
Cheesy video, but I like it. The walking toilet and the mad seientist is funny. 😃
The only thing I understand about this video is Big hair and cool guitar riff. Past that point it's Never Neverland
Rik and Gil got perms for this video.
Triumph - never say never 1987 = yngwie malmsteen - making love 1990
regardless not the triumph i was expecting to hear, this is crap....pop metal nowhere near their earlier stuff.
@@7zuma7 It is still good.
@@beelzebub9387 for this style...its good yeah. wont argue on that
Great job .go canada.just keep the recording bosses and money hungry politicians out..time for the good days to return.go triumph....
is that Kelly Lebrock
Good song but it was really over after Thunder7.
Agreed
Rik looks weird without his double neck guitar lol
Классная песня, ностальгично!
Rik's voice sounds incredibly like Journey's former singer Steve Perry!

Not as hard as previously released récords...but always good...
Losing their edge real bad here. This sure wasn't Nature's Child or Takes Time.

Me recuerda a Gary Moore

This is when they got caught up and lacked direction, happened to alot of great bands.
i think they re-uploaded due to some issues because i remember seeing it on there vevo over 2 years ago now
Well...many people ignores that this awesome trio exists..that may he the reason...
@ that or they reject Triumph as being "underwhelming"
It was a damn good song. Incredibly stupid video though. 😂😂😂. Rik going crazy with the hairspray. 😂
d + !!!!!
A+
@@fbettr2627 kkkkk🎻🎺🎹🎸🎷✌

Great riff and song, awful video. Lol
LOL great song but video is shit
Once again Mike Levine doing absolutely nothing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bro he mouthed a word or two. Maybe slapped a string.
Well not all trios can have equally brilliant members.
he produced the albums you dolt.
This song is more difficult to sing than any TNT song even... just an amazing vocal performance from Rik!
