Just a great band, with a loyal , LOYAL fan-base,that would have had their year or so as a "Super- Group", had it not all ended much too soon.
It wasn't very simple for some of us with the drugs, and booze always on our mind. Chicks too! Had a lot of fun though! Sometimes I really miss my old friends, and partying! Chicks TOO! LOL
Do what you can to make it simple and amazing. Personally I still listen to and collect 80s metal / rock albums and cassettes, 80s rock mags, comics, watch 80s movies, etc. Also minimise time on shitty "modern" things like Facebook, reality TV, etc. It will definitely help you to feel young again 😊
This was almost the best of the mid 80's early 90's rock bands. Guns n Roses released 2 good albums, Cinderella 5!!!!!!! Every single song was awesome. Keifer was a beast of a singer. So sad they stopped too early. This song just shows you how much passion and talent these guys had

They need to be in the rock n roll hall of fame, especially the voice. Could you imagine how far they'd go if his voice wasnt paralyzed? I think he would have evolved with the times/eras and put out accordingly the whole time

The girls run right past Cinderella.. just to embrace Bon Jovi. Funny they could make fun of themselves! The 80's & all that METAL. So, so, so sad it's gone now. We need a renaissance, it was so fun. First concert I attended was DL in 87' supporting Hysteria. Will NEVER FORGET that concert.
Cool fact!!! They were from the same town Joan Jett was born in Lansdowne Pa. Jeff Labar was Lansdowne Aldan. Tom Was Springfield Pa. Eric was from Newtown Square. I’m not sure exactly where Fred was from
THE most underrated band of the 80's! R.I.P. Jeff... Tom is an awesome songwriter! Great stage presence and a GREAT ROCK-N-ROLL voice! I know... I WAS THERE! Never stop rockin'! Keep the faith and keep fighting the good fight! God bless and take care...
That's so cool. I agree though, Cinderella was very underrated. There's never been nor will there ever be another hella awesome music Era like the 80s.
@@dionshare7103 That's NOT the same things. Read wikipedia. Glam rock originated in the early 70s. Glam metal originated in the late 70's early 80's. Stylistic origins of glam rock is classic rock and roll & art rock. Stylistic origins of glam metal is heavy metal & hard rock, NOT classic rock and roll or art rock. Despite the similar part of name, these genres of music sound completely different. Glam metal is noticeably heavier, harder, faster and more energetic than glam rock.
Cinderella was the real deal back then, and as a live act, were virtually untouchable. I took some of my idiot-grunge friends to see them in the late 90's, even (begrudgingly on their parts), and their jaws were on the floor the entire show watching them perform. I never heard them say a bad word about Cinderella after that one 😃
Shows why grunge only lasted about 5 years, yet glam metal lasted more than 15. What's more surprising is glam is coming back, yet grunge isn't. Just goes to prove glam>grunge.
@@ALLMETAL1970 there were only a handful of glam bands that were genuinely good and had a distinct sound. 75% of the other bands were just clones of Ratt and Warrant playing generic pop rock for the chicks and the fashion, thousands of them. glam had a higher peak but there are many more solid bands as a whole in grunge than glam. in conclusion, most glam is pretty gay.
"When I was a young boy.." There is absolutely no one like Cinderella out there now. Transcending time! Always awesome music! No expiration on good rock/blues music!
Poking fun at themselves by having Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora "upstaging" them in their own MV... says a lot about their humility and humour these guys have. Love Cinderella! ❤
I definitely hear the Hard Rock, but I'm not too sure about the Blues. You mean like Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley and B.B. King? Don't really hear that in the arrangement.
@@ricenglish4556 Ric: I wouldn't say it is Blues music but has some blues type tones in some of the guitar work. Which then again I think a lot of that in hard rock goes back to Zeppelin. I don't know maybe I am not explaining it right LOL
@@Grodd70 -- I've always felt Blues gets way too much credit for Rock music. To me, it was those early Country guys, influenced by Chet Arkins, who formed that Rockabilly sound in the 50's. Guys like Scotty Moore from Elvis's band, Eddie Cochrane (who was idolized by British guys), Carl Perkins, Chris Gallup, Paul Burleson from the Johnny Burnette Trio and the original instrumentalist, Duane Eddy. That late 60's fad with Clapton and Beck doing that Blues/Rock fusion was something i didn't really care for. Jimmy Page had much more of a Rock sound. I don't really hear Blues in Cinderella's guitar work, but two different sets of ears.
@@ricenglish4556 I am no expert and as of late being told I have hearing loss, age is a "beep" :) but had a lot of fun at concerts as a kid so the hearing aid is worth it LOL. Maybe you can correct me, especially if you play instruments, I don't. However, if you look at Cinderella compared to some of the other bands of that era, say Ratt, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, etc. Cinderella had more ....help me out here, I'd say bluesy but them and Aerosmith were just different in their tone. I am aware of some of the works of Scotty Moore, Carl Perkins and Chet Atkins and yes, those seem to definitely have a rockabilly tone.
@@Grodd70 -- I am probably older than you and not thrilled about it. Aging is the opposite of fun, but the older I get, the harder I Rock. Aerosmith was most certainly a Blues/Rock type of band. I don't know enough of Cinderella's catalogue to classify them. The hair band stuff of the late 80's had some really cool stuff. Dokken had a Hard Rock sound to them and I liked some of Ratt. Most Blues guys say everything's Blues and that gets a little tiring. Whether a band is Blues or not, in the "woke world," you better at least say you are or the woke crowd will come at you like a rabid dog, foaming at the mouth. I'll leave it at that before I start a rant. I sing a little and play some keyboards. Everybody hears stuff their own way. Rock On!!!!!

There was a heated exchange, and Tom kept telling him to go to his room, over & over, until Nikki drained the liquor over a smallish gals head, & left shouting obscenities, holding his ear like a bitch! "Effing rock stars...... I efing hate rock stars"! were the last words I heard Tom say. He listened to people talk about the whole thing, winked at some of us, signed a few mags, posters, and a few breasts, and mumbled the whole time. He was cool, but classy, EVERY TIME I ever made it back stage. Gimmick he was not, a real artist, with real tunes from real life. I truly miss those days!

When I was 14 I found Jeff on myspace, of course my 14 year old self bombarded him with questions about his guitars. To my surprise he responded and wrote back and forth with me for a few days about gear. Told me a story on how his mom got him that red Kramer for doing good in school. I will always remember how cool this guy was. As if I was talking to a fellow guitar buddy, but it was Jeff LaBar from CInderella !!!! R.I.P Brother
Jani Lane responded to me, too, through MySpace. He was great.

That whole album rocked. Man, I miss the 80's.
send me back to 1980 when life was simple and amazing
Right on
It wasn't very simple for some of us with the drugs, and booze always on our mind. Chicks too! Had a lot of fun though! Sometimes I really miss my old friends, and partying! Chicks TOO! LOL
I think you mean 1986, but yeah me too
Do what you can to make it simple and amazing.

All they is cool!!!

36 years ago!!!! A whole life, and we are still rockin'!!!!!!
Life goes on...
They need to be in the rock n roll hall of fame, especially the voice. Could you imagine how far they'd go if his voice wasnt paralyzed? I think he would have evolved with the times/eras and put out accordingly the whole time
This band will never get the credit it deserves. Despite the wrapping, they were not a hair band.
Thank God for RUclips!!!
RIP Jeff laBar, your music help millions across the world. RIP we miss you already
Nobody but nobody can sing like Tom Keifer. Never in all my life have I heard a voice like this. So incredibly different. So powerful. So clear.

Keifer's vocals was amazing. Sad he didn't get his props. He was hitting those squealing high notes long before the world knew who Axl Rose was.
Sounds kind of like AC/DC. Axl had a lot more power.
And David Coverdale was doing that in the 70s with Deep Purple. And then Whitesnake. The guy has a 7 Octave range.
both were great singers but i would' choose Tom over axl..
Tom vocal is so unique

Always loved how Cinderella was 3 dark haired guys and a blonde and Poison was 3 blondes and one dark hair. And the odd man is bassist.
I think this was my favorite of the glam rock era. So underrated. So talented. And this was definitely the best album.
They plays glam METAL. Not glam rock
It's the same thing. Depends on where you're from what people called it.
@@dionshare7103
That's NOT the same things.
You're right. It really doesn't matter to me what it's called. Cinderella is good music.
@@dionshare7103 Yes, of course, but they played glam METAL, not glam rock
'80's....Golden years....
Finishing the music video with Bon Jovi and Sambora. Brilliant. :)
1 thingy I learned is that there's 3 kinds of people in this world those that are given those that are taken those that have earned simplicity

Seen Cinderella on the "Long Cold Winter" tour!!! One of the greatest shows from the 80's!!
fantastic album I'm jealous....
I saw them open for David Lee Roth in 87
Definitely one of the most under-rated bands of the 80's. Cinderella gets over looked, they sound great live and have a real hard rock blues base.
I just love Cinderella so much! Jeff LaBar just mesmerizes, moving across the stage, what a great showman he was! We miss you Jeff LaBar 🙏💕🎸

Tom keifer was a badass guitarist. I was lucky to have been in high school in the early 80s and got to see Cinderella twice in concert. The energy and showmanship was powerful. Music was just better back then.
