    I gotta say the period that made me love rap was the Marley Marl era.. but the era that opened me up was RZA Wu Tang 1993 to 2000. The sound the mixture of sampling was just so wild to the ears. Cuban Linx... Iron Man GZA album... the sounds just fit so many moods. I got better at writing hearing WuTang. Peace Mad Supanova

    Being a Old School Underground Hip-Hop head , i would say my top 5 producers are:
    5_DJ E-Swift (from Tha Alkaholiks) in My opinion Tha liks are like a Real Hip Hop party group , their three first albums really put anybody in a zone , like goin' stoopid on the beat , and man , there's a lot of people that need to check Swift poduction deep
    4_DJ Muggs (and i would probably even put him at number 1 , cause of his creativity on everything he made , he really is a experimental producer and he got such a highlighted hip hop songs that really makes him an underlooked producer , i really think that Muggs deserves more credit from his work in the last almost 30 years)
    3_Pete Rock , he really is a funky producer , he is the type of producer that really makes beats that give a flashback of the classic jazz and such , i would say that he's a teacher in the way it should be done
    2_ Preemo , don't mistake my opinion , cause Preemo is a fucking beast on the boards , he is simple a go-to HIP HOP producer , i really haven't heard a Premier beat that made play next or skip
    1_Dr.Dre , there's any Dre beat that does'nt brought you nostalgia or made you wanna go back to that era ?? , Or Even more , there's any Dre beat that you skipped in your playlist , he's so fuckin DOPE

    The difference between Premo and Dre: The Doctor has an ear that influences his mixing which in terms makes the track even better.
    The sound is amazing. You may not even like the sample. But the clarity of the track gets your attention. Premo, simply is a funky beatsmith. If Premo focus on his mixing he would take Dre. Andre Young is a mixing genius.

Can't compete in that time frame skill wise. Just can't. There where so many variety of flows and word play.

    1. DJ Premier ; He perfected the hip hop instrumental.His scratches, his funk, his drums & samples are unbeatable.
    2. Dr. Dre ; His ability to create hits and perfect producing along with his success makes him top 3 easily.
    3. J Dilla ; His smooth soul music is unlike any other. His style is untouchable, could've been 1 if he had more time.
    4. Rick Rubin or Pete Rock ; Progressed early hip hop in the 80's and create the hip hop style others improved.
    5. Kanye West ; His Graduation album is flawless and has many amazing, soulful beats that are like J Dilla mixed with DJ Premier. Some thought went into this list Lol

    • @illuzeweb
      @illuzeweb 9 лет назад +4

      that was later on Dre put allot of work in prior to that from NWA, to D.O.C. etc. even to this day. Also you have to clarify Dre is a Producer not a Beatmaker the people that were around his team were simply beatmakers outside of Denaun aka Mr. Porter even if you ref. Scott you have to think could you listen to an entire album by him in his heyday allot of the songs he did between 50 and Fat Joe sound the same. they say only 2 people have superior level mix downs and that's Dre, and J Dilla beats that Busta had were 2 tracks from cassettes but since they were mixed down well on TAPE they made it to this day.

    • @mxpassion1715
      @mxpassion1715 9 лет назад

      Bill Perri Thats your opinion playa, comparing NWA shit to what other producers were doing at the time early 90s i would say it was garbage. Even Dre said it himself but i cant find the interview to let you know.

    Premier, Dilla, and RZA. Top 3. Premier is my #1 favorite, but even if he isn't your favorite. You have to realize, when an MC gets on a Premier beats, he just SHINES!!!. When a legendary rapper gets on a Premo beat, it is a masterpiece!!! J Dilla and RZA are right up there too. I just think Preme's beats are a little more simpler so their easier to jump on.
