No particular order top 10, it was way too hard picking 5!!!! J-Dilla DJ Premier The Nuptunes Kanye West The Bomb Squad Dr. Dre Pete Rock Timberland Larry Smith Da Beatminerz
Dre build a crew around him to make great production, Dre alone is not a great producer just check early NWA , avg at best. Scott storch made many of dres chronic album production.
that was later on Dre put allot of work in prior to that from NWA, to D.O.C. etc. even to this day. Also you have to clarify Dre is a Producer not a Beatmaker the people that were around his team were simply beatmakers outside of Denaun aka Mr. Porter even if you ref. Scott you have to think could you listen to an entire album by him in his heyday allot of the songs he did between 50 and Fat Joe sound the same. they say only 2 people have superior level mix downs and that's Dre, and J Dilla beats that Busta had were 2 tracks from cassettes but since they were mixed down well on TAPE they made it to this day.
Bill Perri Thats your opinion playa, comparing NWA shit to what other producers were doing at the time early 90s i would say it was garbage. Even Dre said it himself but i cant find the interview to let you know.
Premier, Dilla, and RZA. Top 3. Premier is my #1 favorite, but even if he isn't your favorite. You have to realize, when an MC gets on a Premier beats, he just SHINES!!!. When a legendary rapper gets on a Premo beat, it is a masterpiece!!! J Dilla and RZA are right up there too. I just think Preme's beats are a little more simpler so their easier to jump on.

Glad he at least mentions LP
Dre build a crew around him to make great production, Dre alone is not a great producer just check early NWA , avg at best. Scott storch made many of dres chronic album production.
Good point.
that was later on Dre put allot of work in prior to that from NWA, to D.O.C. etc. even to this day.
Bill Perri i think if we go at Dre's list in that era that damn Approach to Danger is nuts on the production side!!
Scott Storch didn't do The Chronic album. That was all Dre.
The...the..the...the...the...the rza
Premier, Dilla, and RZA. Top 3. Premier is my #1 favorite, but even if he isn't your favorite. You have to realize, when an MC gets on a Premier beats, he just SHINES!!!. When a legendary rapper gets on a Premo beat, it is a masterpiece!!! J Dilla and RZA are right up there too. I just think Preme's beats are a little more simpler so their easier to jump on.
Dj Premier, Pete Rock, J-Dilla, Rza, Large Pro.. The best to ever do it!
