- I made my "Dear Webcam Companies..." video reaching out to Logitech and other manufacturers with the expectation that my requests would fall on deaf ears. But they might've actually listened! We don't get exact camera controls, but Logitech have improved camera setting management and given a workaround for persistent settings on webcams with the new Logitech G Hub software.

It still doesn't remember my settings. My gain keeps making out. Sometimes it even resets WHILE I'm using it.
I have a base c920 and this doesnt seem to work, i cant use any of the controls but the preview works. Cant find any resources online for trying to get this to work :(

Does this enable me to control multiple identical Webcams separately? I have two C920 cameras and I can only change the settings of one with the "old" driver, as soon as I have the second one hooked up there is no way to access the settings of the first one

As a C922 user this is really exciting! Yeah, but I heard a lot of people praise the C922 before I got it and I was surprised how noisy it was when I finally had everything all set up. There is just a lot of grain on the image that I would like to not be there, but hey, it's a web cam I suppose. 😁
How do I get OBS and this to work together?
There still isn't an option for gain, backlight comp and lowlight comp, all of which you can find in OBS's camera settings, but they don't save after reboot.
That is so awesome! I have a 922 that I use a lot and the settings reverting back to default was a major complaint of mine too. I didn't think Logitech listened to anyone! Glad they heard you and did something. Thanks!

I’m hoping you can help me good sir, G hub picks up that I have a c922 but it refuses to show me a video pre view, any ideas on what I’m doing wrong? I only just bought this camera and I don’t have much money in life to replace it with something else

I own three c920 but the GHUB software only recognises two in the software. However, when I change the settings for one of them in the software it actually changes settings in OBS for two of the cameras. So I have two controls in the software for three cameras in OBS but this isn't useful for me. I want to be able to zoom more in one of the cameras while leaving the other two as they are. The one I want to zoom in is one of the two cameras effected by one control in the software. Anything I can do to fix this?

I cannot get the external microphone to work with the Logitech 920 Webcam. Followed "How To's" to solve the problem. Learned a lot. But still cannot seem to use anything but the webcam mics and speakers. Maybe in a week.

I have two C920s and when I click one in G-Hub, or the other, it only ever brings up my main C920. How do I get it to work with both? Which drivers should I even be using on Win 7 64-bit?

I'd buy c920 100% if the price is not somehow the same with c930e in my country -_- since c930e gives you better image quality and wider fov

I'd been cruizing on the old drivers for the c270. Got a new computer, go to install the software, and try to stream... behold, no 720p widescreen, and NO settings savings. Anyone able to fix this issue, seeing as G hub does not work with the c270?
Can you provide links for that DLSR setup? After spending $160 on the Brio and not being able to get the lighting and color's the way I want (had more success with my c920) I think I might finally break and get a DLR but have no idea where to start. Appreciate you EposVox.

Thanks for this video, is there a way to support persistent settings with multiple webcams? I have two Brio's I use with OBS
I was so ready to be ecstatic about this as my webcam (C920) constantly forgets my white balance settings on reboot. Unfortunately, whilst this app did reset every setting initially, it only gives focus and exposure options for my webcam and whilst I'm confident it will save those, I cannot operate it in my streaming environment without the additional gain, contrast, colour intensity, and white balance options the standard camera panel gives. Enabling G-Hub simply overrides those and makes it look awful :/

Oh and the settings can be synced on a cloud-based Logitech G account !
I'm having major issues getting OBS to understand what application to use to change the webcam settings. I have tried it all. How do you get OBS to launch the "correct" application?
Is there any one and only program to have installed for your logitech mouse and webcam? Also, is there a Logitech "cleaner" around?

Hey bro,... so I set up my C920 in G Hub. But how do I actually record it?
HEEEEEEEEELP G HUB is breaking the way I use my c920, streamlabs is not recognizing anything under the c920 device, logi capture stopped working, it's a nightmare!!! it's useless now but I am able to see the camera feed on g hub for some reason, any ideas?

Hello Epos, since installing the beta my C920 will not do 1280x720 anymore.. it just stops. When i lower the resolution it will work. Did you have the same experience or am i missing something? :) great vid btw to let us know! appreciate it.
Oh gosh...i'm so disapointed, i was expecting to get rid of this shitty low light compensation that drops my fps cam to 15-20... The only thing we need is just a "set to default" damn button to keep settings after a reboot and the option to uncheck the low light compensation... Hardest thing ever to code i guess...

Finally! C922 Came with no software and the webcame settings was super limited. I definitely will be downloading. Downloaded the software and there really is no difference in settings from OBS Webcam settings access its just in a pretty gui. Only thing really different is the Priority setting between Frame Rate and Exposure. However, the webcam does look loads better as in it is picking up the light in my room way more than before.
Brio still has these issues: 1. Too bright light instead of dim ones like c920 2. Delay/sync 3. Crashes my slobs when accessing settings(software issue) 4. Gets hot 5. Flickering 6. Does not work well with poor lighting green screens, for example Elgato green screen.

That's not an "issue" - that's just going to be how any webcam works lol. Hell, in "poor lighting conditions" any camera is going to struggle to chroma key, but especially a tiny sensor USB camera.
This is why I have three 660 LED lights on stands. >.>

Is this software still good for iMac with C920
niiice. Just so happen to have a 920--downloaded the beta, which made not one mention of cameras' compat. It IS Mac OS X compatible as well, which is nice for my 'hackintosh' setup...thx & thumbs up!
Adam instaled. As far and if there are changes under the hood, is the same. The settings, the two selection that normally is on obs is on the new app. Still ins drops frames badly when 1920x1080 60fps is selected (using 144hz panels 2 of them) also games drop frames hard. And even matching the video output I can see drop frames in 20%to 30%. If I match the display games drops to 60 and the ins to 30. Same as before. Unless I am doing something wrong, is just a facelift. It will be great to check that. But for now I have drop the super expensive brio webcam to default that is 720. Check please maybe I am doing something wrong
Sounds like you might be having some GPU overload issues at 144hz or something. Even from launch, I've never had dropped frames from the webcam in 60fps mode - just exposure stuttering, which is already much lower than the other webcams. Hell, that whole video was recorded in 1080p60 mode w/ no dropped frames.

Hi there, there is something you've said which is not quite correct (at least in my case). I use a c922 and my settings don't get reset completely(!) as you've described it. You just have to adjust certain settings after rebooting (auto focus for example).
Well it's an issue that plagues many streamers

Ghub still doesn't save camera settings, even today. I have a C920 & C920S and both are effectively complete trash. All of the settings revert for both even when I only put the PC to sleep.

This software doesnt intall. I downloadwed and run it but it does nothing. No installation window or anything like that. Does it really work?
having the same problem here.. i click on the "install" button and then it immediately pops up "install and launch" button. and when click on it, it does nothing... tried it like 5 more times, still doesn't work lol
@@ver0o7 I realized that it takes time to decide whether it really wants to install on your computer or not.
So, here's what I did.
Restart your computer. Once it's back on double click to install, click yes on the screen that comes and then wait for 10 minutes then a window will appear asking you to download and install the software.
It takes some time but once it install it works great. It helped after I was so frustrated.
One more thing...
Once you set the camera settings and you want them to work for all other applications, they wont pick the settings immediately until you restart your computer.

@EposVox Do you know how I can reach the devs? I am having major memory leaks during the installation. I am talking fulling up my 32 GB RAM memory leaks. I tried reinstalling .Net 3.5 and it is the same issue. I have closed all background processes and have the latest stable release Windows 10 updates.

About time! One thing that I also want is to be able to revert the image when recording in 1080p, it drives me crazy that I can do that on Logitech software with my C920.

I meant to say mirror instead of revert. When I'm recording in 1080p the mirror option is disabled, no biggie if I am not looking at the video feed when recording but lot of times I am and is just weird.

This is great to find out! I use a brio, c920 c930e and a camlink with a gopro for a multi-camera stream every few weeks. Do you know if you're able to recognize multiple c920's or 922's without the conflict that used to occur? If the settings save I might rebuy a c920 and replace the 930e cuz having the settings save would save me a shit ton of time compared to having to reset the settings for every stream.
I can't test it myself, but a member of our Discord server said it was working with their multiple C920s
Thanks for the info :) I've been trying the new app and while I agree it's awesome you can finally save your settings the lack of control for the camera is atrocious. No white balance control (it's under filter... WHITE BALANCE ISN'T A FILTER!!!!!! and no numerical K scale :( really lol )
They really should add a 'pro' setting so you can change everything individually like the options in OBS (yeah they're shit but it's more control than this G Hub software currently :/ )

Ohhh, no support for C930E? It's just a C920 with a wider angle. BTW, why not just use that Z Cam E2? That looks like an awesome solution.Rather than spring for the Brio, when I'm ready I think that's the better choice.

It won't find my C930E So frustrating. I can't get logitech software to work with it. Maybe it's time to look into other products than Logitech. I've been a long time fan of logitech products but I'm about to switch
Unfortunately, only the C920 ,Brio and the C922 are able to use Logitech Capture Software
I really wish they supported the G700s Mouse and G13 Gameboard right now, because without those it's completely unusable for me right now.
I'd also like to see support for the X52 Flight Stick and GT Driving Force built into the software asap as well.

@@EposVox Thank you very much! I never got 1080p and 60fps for the Brio via OBS. All i got was 1080p/30fps and 720p/60fps. But 1080p/60fps? No chance! That's why i was asking. I guess i should give it another try using this software.
That's likely a firmware/driver issue
they kept screwing with the drivers, and the ones supplied by windows, and it really screwed up the available formats

Brio have 2 models, the normal and the stremers, each have different firmware. The one you have is the?
I have yet to see any actual differences between them other than the bundled XSplit trial or whatever. When I got mine there was only one and even in the description, it's described as being both for streaming and business. They both should work, they're the same camera.

Nice! Does this work with the C270? If not, I'm still glad to see they listened or at least addressed issues they had. I'd definitely say the moral is to at least reach out to whatever companies either with a wish form or a bug report and give them a chance with it!

Or just use the default linux drivers, OBS (VLC if you stream from the command line or dont have a desktop enviroment), ALSA (for audio), and Gtk-v4l (like logisims shitty software but with much more control)
