The BEST explanation of a pole climb. I was able to climb the most I have ever been able to with just the slight adjustments you explained that no one else has to me!! Thank you for the conditioning exercises too
Hardest part for me is switching to my non-dominant forearm. I just want to use my dominant forearm each climb up. That makes my climb into a spin-climb on static though, so still neat.
this is so well broken down! I cant wait to use this video during studio time. I can always do the first part of the climb but struggle pulling my legs up AND maintaining proper form which then means I rely on upper strength to get me up. its been frustrating the hell out of me that I havent been able to get it. :/
This video is helping me so much. I'm still having a hard time getting my feet (well foot) off of the ground. My leg feels as if it weighs a ton. It's only the second day of me trying this but I feel I will be able to soon ❤
I love so many of your videos! The way you break down the movements, describe the physics and prescribe conditioning exercises is really helping me out as a beginner pole dancer. Looking forward to more videos!
I'm still using my biceps all the freaking time, which means i get stuck getting my legs up, im gonna try your tutorial and/or practice advice next time. Thanks for much for the vid.
You’re welcome! Make sure the forearm is pressed against the pole and the top arm is fully extended. Any bending in the top arm and your biceps will start engaging. You got this!!
Oh. My. God. You are such an excellent teacher!!! Wow, nobody ever broke it down for me like this. Thank you SO much for this awesome video!!! This, I swear, is life-changing for me. Haha I love that dirty look "so that you...remember." You have a great personality besides being great at what you do.
Ideally you don’t use your feet at all and rely primarily on the portion of your leg that is from the knee to the ankle area. Try pointing your toes to create a “straight line” from the knee to the toes. I don’t do it cause I’ve formed bad habits, but it may be a necessity for you if you’re experiencing pain
I am a beginner and the hardest part is releasing my knees to push up. You gave me so much good information. Thank you
You’re amazing . First video I’ve found with great explanation and examples .

The knee engagement and POINTED TOES are hands down the hardest.

The hardest part for me is the lifting the legs partafter the first intial lift off
i can easily climb fluently but the pain on my foot is stopping me 🥲 should i put more pressure on the knees instead of the foot?
