i Looked up the details about Penny not getting the "credit she deserves"- turns out there is a reason for it, and it is partly legit :/. It's for her own protection. I mean sure if they were working undercover as they were, you'd think agents would cover up her direct involvement while giving penny the credit she needs to keep from going psycho, but if she got the credit that made inspector gadget famous, she would become a much bigger target, thus endangering her life even more.
It's unfair (indefinitely) but at least makes sense........mostly :/

From what I could tell from the series she doesn't seem to care about getting the credit (you can sometimes see her and Brain laughing when Gadget is congratulated for what they did). Also the chief seems to know that she is involved (since she is often the one who calls him, to request police backup), but he just chooses to not tell her uncle about it. Come to think of it, he probably keeps Gadget on the force, just so he can get Penny on the case. If not for her, Gadget would have probably been fired after the first few messages that blew up in the chief's face.

Fun Fact: Inspector Gadget was conceived as a show because there was planned to be a French/Japanese co-production of the long-running anime Lupin III which fell through because of copyright issues.

8:41 Well here's a fun fact. The studio behind Inspector Gadget originated in Canada. When she was a kid, Cree Summer's family moved to Canada. In Canada, there was a rule on casting. Your cast must be at least 50% Canadian, born or residence. Cree Summer got the part because she was a canadian resident back then (it was years before she moved back to America). During production of Season 2, the studio who made the show moved from Toronto to California. Because of the Canadian law, Cree Summer and Dan Hennessey were replaced with Holly Berger and Maurice LaMarche.
But then again, this special was made in 1992, this was when Cree Summer was in America (and still is). So why didn't they call her to reprise her role as Penny and replace her with Erica Horne?

Cree Summers wasn't even the last person to voice Penny at this point. She only voiced Penny in the first season, replacing Mona Marshall from the pilot, and was replaced by Holly Berger in the second season, who was replaced by Erica Horn for this movie.

I seriously think people overreact to that show. Don't get me wrong it sucks ass, balls, and cock, but the main reason it gets as much hate as it does is because, we were promised the actual Teen Titans and got GO instead. It's like if Rooster Teeth had promised it's hit show RWBY and given it's comedic spinoff RWBY Chibi instead.

Rift Shredder kinda weird when you realize Inspector Gadget Saves Christmas and Sonic Christmas Blast is basically from the same company, both featuring the main villain disguising themselves as Santa.

Benjamin Johnson listen, I understand that people want to have that movie torn apart by the Critic, or even Doug in his regular analysis. But it isn't the sort of movie you can review like Doug reviews. It's trying to be a documentary and a religious sermon, spouting what it claims to be facts and demeaning anyone who doesn't really agree. This sort of movie needs a scholar or a researcher to analyze it, because it isn't plot. It's misinformation.
It's horrible and insane but it isn't the type of movie Doug can even do properly, given his style. Check out The Bible Reloaded, they are hilarious and they rip the "film" a new anus.
