@@leyrua no in the CGI remake he got a new suit that worked fine and then something bad happened that glitched Gadgets brand new suit so I assume same happened in the series

I remember being a little kid and didn't realize adult swim was on since I had been watching cartoon network most of the day. I didn't know what the "dog on dog" joke was, but the rest of this skit still had me rolling on the floor laughing and introduced me to robot chicken

Well Gadget isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, Penny's the genius who always finds ways to foil his plans whilst Gadget just stumbles around, usually due to having trouble with his gadgets

Cree Summer's Penny is one of the greatest child performances ever, so hearing her play the role that made her famous once again was a joy, as was Frank Welker being Dr. Claw again!

I've always loved the idea of Gadget stopping being a complete moron and using his powers to the fullest, but because he's evil in this it gave me Child's Play vibes lol.

This is one of my favourite sketches from the show, particularly since I cried with laughter the first time I watched it. Also, how very cool it was that got Cree Summer (Penny) and Frank Welker (Brain and Dr. Claw) reprising their roles from the original Inspector Gadget series.

When I was a kid I used to draw Gadget as a badass cyborg that would dismantle and absorb machines on the fly while fighting Claw, who had successfully taken over the earth.

It amazes me how the show's production team manages to bring together most of the original talent from the shows they lampoon. I say most because there are a few exceptions.
I imagine some actors (that are available) either wind up asking for too much for the role, or just aren't interested when they're approached for it. But I like to think that, at the very least, they always try to get the original actors whenever possible.
The absolute best part is actually getting Frank Welker to voice Dr. Claw. Perfect.

Forget horror, dark Inspector Gadget would have to Crime Noir, with Gadget himself secretly being wildly depressed and only faking a constantly upbeat attitude to deal with the sad sad world he lives in.

I've seen this skit many times, but never until now noticed that during the scene when they're dragging Gadget behind the car, about halfway through the scene the back of the vehicle changes. Like they realized halfway through that they were using the wrong model, but didn't have time to reshoot the entire scene.
The Gadgetmobile can change shape, just like Gadget himself.

I think it's not about wrong models, it's just the back of the truck mode car was already loose and fell easily

This video makes a whole lot of sense. Every incarnation of Inspector Gadget has been a complete and utter fool whose true power is dumb luck. True heroes are balanced competent or even genius individuals and not clowns. Gadgets’ niece Penny is Claws’ true nemesis and a true role model.

I still will never get why Netflix just did not have Cree reprise her role on their version of the show.
Because that show is a France Canada co-production
First: Netflix didn't produce the 2015 series. It was produced by DHX for the TV channel Teletoon Canada, not for Netflix. Netflix simply aquired the show for streaming, and then decided to label it a "Netflix Original" in the United States for publicity purposes. They had nothing to do with its production.
Second: Cree Summer was eleven years old when she voiced Penny in the 1983 show, the perfect age to voice a little girl character. I don't know if DHX considered hiring her for the 2015 show... but if so, I can easily picture them feeling that Summer's voice NOW doesn't quite sound young enough to play Penny at the age of 15-16 either. You can hear the age difference in the Robot Chicken skits.
