- Hey guys back again with another DIY! This time we are doing exhaust cut-outs on our buddy's 335i. If you want the best of both worlds, loud and stealthy, exhaust cut-outs are the way to go!

What size was the valve kit? I see them being offered as 2.5 inch and 3 inch. Believe the 335i exhaust is 2.36 inch?

Hey bro I got a e90 335i I’m just wanna know does the cutouts scrape at all I went to 3 different muffler shops and they all told me it’s would scrape or they don’t see a good place to put it please lmk bro
Panda Panda so the exhaust setup may be different on the e90 because the way we angled the cutouts they don’t scrape they barely even sit lower then the exhaust, but again I don’t know the e90 exhaust layout so they might be right there might not be a way, I just know that the way we angled these on the e92 was mint and doesn’t scrape

The link you posted to the Cutouts is not longer available. Do you by chance remember the brand or is there one that you'd recommend? I keep running into the brand QTP but I'm not seeing a dual kit.

@@BudgetBimmers also found these exhaust cutouts on alie Express. But they also give the option for 2.25 inch. I believed an e92 335i exhaust was around 2.34 inch. So I need 2.5 or 2.25?

Is this bad for the stock engine/stock tune. Is it bad for the car to suddenly have almost no more back pressure in the exhaust? Thinking about doing this to my 328i xdrive. Someone please speak about this:)
Not on a 335i because of the twin turbo setup, a 328i is NA so it needs the back pressure
You don't need back pressure unless you drive a 2-stroke.

The cutouts are sick, I've got them on my old hot rod and it's hard not to leave them open all the time. Might put them on the 335 right after the downpipes. Is there enough room up that far is the question.🤔
lakebum7425 yeah there is that's my car in the video. I would have put them up there but I felt it would have sounded so loud in the car and I'd rather have the sound more behind the car instead over right under the middle.

orhan cirak this particular kit plugged in to the 12volt cigarette lighter, so you can see in the video how we connected them above the exhaust then ran it through the trunk and then into the cabin to the 12 volt not too hard

wire it so that when you put the car into sports mode it automatically does this. A lot cleaner and more professional you know.
