Thank you for posting this. I'm stuck home alone for the mess that is C19 and cheery distractions are keeping me from losing my mind. I'm a plant newb and so much of plant life goes over my head because I'm terrible at doing research so I love learning this way - from people who are passionate and willing to share. Way easier for me to engage this way. I love the little watermelon plant. So freaking cute. Video request if you think it fits your vibe - how does a person make the jump from randomly buying plants they like to actually planning a space? I want to be a person who plans my garden (pots and planters around my patio!) but every year I just find myself buying randomly. Did you ever make that leap? Loving your channel; thank you!

Wow, to be able to find so many awesome plants that are on your wishlist in one shopping stop is just to die for. You would think living in NYC I would find a lot of varieties when I go to a plant shop or garden center. Usually it’s the same ones I keeping finding and already have. The Bronx only has Home Depot I get most of my plants but I have to keep visiting it frequently if I am to find a rare wish list plant. Occasionally I do travel further out the Borough and may find a wish list plant. I sure would love to go into a place and pick up a lot on my wish list as you did here.
By the way, I just discovered your channel and love how you talk about plants so passionately as a person also learning and not just acting like a know it all like some channels do. Love the not over the top humor.
Suggestions on keeping that caleathia alive especially during the cold dry winter months. Keep it in a terrarium like environment. Humidifier is best but next best thing is the bathroom and keep the soil evenly moist. If it still struggles, get it right away into a clear bag or any terrarium like environment. I’m doing this now and for the first time have several thriving calethia, prayers plants and appose to the many I’ve killed in the past. Also, I do the bag trick every time I struggle with a plant and bring it back to life or go away for more that two weeks like right now having bagged several plants at work hoping they will survive the quarantine. Hopefully I can go in next week to check on them after almost a month away. I did brought home a lot of them home but I couldn’t bring them all.

I'm with you on the lime green chartreuse colour! I collect plants primarily with this color. Very few of my plants are dark.

So glad you went! Such an amazing place. I cried over a begonia listada the first time I went there. I usually go every other weekend but I'm already going through Angle Acres withdrawal!!!

Doggone it. I meant to order distilled water with my grocery delivery for my calathea. Mine is doing fine so far with me using water that I’ve let sit out for a couple days but I don’t want to chance it. Love your haul.

Real talk, I can guarantee I will never buy distilled water for my calathea. I'm going to be really diligent about collecting rain water, but I can assure you I won't be doing that. Lol

Hello. How is your Calathea Ornata doing? As for distilled water, can you just fill up a couple of gallons of water and let it sit for 24-48 hours and then use for plants?
