It was probably around 1983 I came out of a bowling alley with my Dad and we found a cassette copy of the Doors 13 lying on the ground - hooked ever since
I remember hearing this new years eve 68- 1969 I was 5, was watching my aunt and her friends do all those crazy 60's dances at her party and I was laughing, lava lamps, peace signs everywhere too LOL ! the song was played everywhere so much that I still have that memory.
Light My Fire Is a wonderful song 🎼 Love 💖 Fantastic Band The Doors ✌️ Amazing JIM Voice 💥 RIP GRANDE UNFORGETTABLE Musical Genius 🎼 and Great Poeta ⭐ Now HE sing in Heaven 🌌✨ Forever 💫 Thanks for short video 👌
Their first album was an elemental masterpiece. Sharp, moody and antagonistic it never fails to lift and transport me to newer realms. End of the night, Soul kitchen, The End, Break on thru. Rarely does a bands first album have so many classic songs. No wonder their following grew so quickly, woman refering to jim as , "That horny mofo in leather pants"
One of the best starting albums of all time of The Doors they are debut 1967, the summer of love, we miss you now and forever Never to be forgotten The Doors. Love you guys doors🚪
I fell in love with the doors at the age 15, Now that I’m 36-year-old guy I still love the doors. I still listen to them day in and day out. It’s nice to know that your family appreciates the door as much as I do I live in United States. Thanks for your reply means a lot.
It's really odd how this album was so far ahead of its time in 1967 and now in the year 2024 its still ahead of its time. My first time through the album and after listening to "The End" I sat in this trance for about 10 minutes trying to grasp what I had just heard. Mesmerizing, memorable and mind blowingly magnificent!
1967...I'm 14 and listening to 77WABC on my transistor radio ...and this comes on...Oh my God!!! Dinner with my parents was never the same! I bought every Doors album since...What a time!!
The greatest debut album ever by a group of previously unknown musicians. Break On Through is the greatest first track ever on a debut album as well. Of course this is just my own opinion.
How very appropriate that Light My Fire was the first song I ever heard of theirs and it was like throwing a lighted match into a sea of gasoline after that.
+@BIzzNijmegenMusicTillWeDie-USA: Not too many albums that feature covers of both Howlin' Wolf ("Back Door Man") and Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill ("Alabama Song" [Whiskey Bar]"). The Doors, Frank Zappa and The Velvet Underground all drew on both American Blues/R&B and European avant-garde music, but The Doors were the only ones who were able to have those influences and write hit singles.
Awesome! I went to school at Michigan as well but that was before my time, I was only 5 in 67’. Iggy Pop was at that show if I’m not mistaken and said that it had a tremendous effect on him, the way that Jim was f’ing with the frat boys in the audience.
In '67, it must have been whenever we went to Pizza Hut on Lindsey St. Norman, OK. this song the LP version was on the jukebox and I played it every time! Coolest song in the joint!
Listening to Robbies book, everyone expected Break on Through to be the big song. Evidently, light my fire ended up earning more money than any other Doors song by far

Light My Fire is a masterpiece that never gets old. Not many bands can rival The Doors. They were truly something else and probably not even human.
Same with 'Indian summer 'from Morrison hotel
they should put that billboard back up
