Honestly, you could easily make the singer Stalin, and change a few lyrics so that he's Gleb's boss, with a mission to get Anastasia (whether or not it's actually her is irrelevant) or get shot. Because it's Stalin.
So they absolutely could get the song in there
It'd need some lyrical adjustments and would likely change Gleb's vibe significantly.
This is what we could have had in the Broadway show...we were robbed!
He has a great villain voice

Ben Edquist loved you here! He was so phenomenal when I saw him as Gleb in Anastasia. I immediately had goosebumps and in my head casted him as Javert in Les Mis for the next role I want to see him in.
