i think "homestar is the main character, strong bad is the narrator" is my favorite structure for these toons. like, it's way funnier to see strong bad find homestar somehow stuffed into the water cooler with no explanation than having followed homestar there. it's this level of enigma homestar has that really endears him to me and focusing on him through another character's lens really juxtaposes that quality.
oh yeah strong bad is great too but we all knew that

It really explains why homestar got so much more funny once Strong Bad emails became the main draw to the website. Strong Bad is sarcastic and funny enough that he doesn't need the assistance of a no-context cutaway very often. But homestar is infinitely more funny when we randomly happen upon him doing something stupid with no context

With integers being stored in a binary format, one consequence of going over the limit of displayable digits while not yet overflowing was that the game would start reading whatever chunks of memory came after the number graphics and display those instead of numbers. You see stuff like that in Super Mario Bros when getting over 99 lives, or in the Gen 1 Pokémon games with the Missingno glitch increasing the count of an item in the inventory to a large number.

I used the graphic of the four branches to illustrate for lawyers with the city I work for how mayor-council powers don't break as cleanly as civics education would lead you to believe. For instance, Homestar could be inside a college mascot costume while on national television or in the office.
It was absolutely one of the best things I have done for money.

I feel like what happened was that Homestar was in Barbados, hanging a picture on the wall, when he leaned too hard trying to correct the angle and slipped, tumbling all the way down the island and into the sea, where he eventually floated into a shipment of water that was being purified and sent out to the office that he works at, conveniently letting him flag Strong Bad down to see his plight.
This is totally what happened, and it is not Homestar being an idiot and saying a blatantly untrue thing. I put pride in my local Stupid Things Homestar's Done!
