So Jim Thome and Charles Nagy are the only Cleveland player who played in the old Municipal stadium and were also part of every great Cleveland team from 1994 to 2001. Nice.
Its unreal how the Cleveland baseball franchise became elite after moving to Jacob in 1994. Its like that old stadium was cursed. It seated almost 80,000. I can just imagine a packed postseason game in there, or if Cleveland was in a tight race in September. WOW. Cincy owned Ohio until the Jacob opened.
Steve Zabriskie (if I'm not mistaken) and Bob Gibson broadcasting. Neither were with ESPN for long (Gibson's only season and I believe Zabriskie only did 3 seasons with ESPN).
tiger management made a lot of bad choices during this era. kept and signed too many overpriced over the hill players. should've been a complete rebuild after '88.

Long Live Cleveland Municipal Stadium
The rivalry between Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians. Back when both teams played in the American League Eastern Division.
thank you for the Indians games you've posted lately
Thanks to you for watching
