The opening theme song and the clips they show tell you all the difference between baseball then and now. Every highlight is of someone running the bases, close plays at the plate, Hendeson stealing a bag, and pitchers. Only one shot of someone in a home run trot.
I miss the close plays at home and second, breaking up double plays, catchers blocking the plate. It’s a shame the lengths Rob Manfred has gone to water down baseball.
I didnt get to appreciate the Tigers until around 1994. But they still had Fryman, Fielder, Whitaker, Tettleton, Gibson, Trammell and Eric Davis on that team.
I have mixed feelings about Royals stadium back in those days. So many great memories there, but at the same time I am absolutely grateful that they replaced certain things like the artificial turf and added new features behind the outfield.
They ruined the park by adding all that stuff behind the outfield. Used to be a nice tranquil view of the green hills and the fountains. Now it's a mess.
These Tigers road uniforms put their current version to shame. Also, I wish they'd make the button on top of the road hat navy again, instead of orange.
cool game! Hey, I have some Chiefs and Royals games that you may not have. Please send me a message! I would love copies of your baseball and basketball!
Just hearing the old ESPN opening was worth it alone.
The ESPN 90s SNB and Baseball intro/music is something I could listen to multiple times daily.

Must’ve posted this game because of Nolan Ryan’s 7th No-hitter because there was absolutely nothing out of the ordinary about the Tigers-Royals game.

@@TheVCRTimeMachine I completely disagree, but to each his own.
Now they're looking to build a new stadium.
@@CatStanleySpaceDemon Yep, I think it's time.
