I'm 6'2" barefoot, 6'4" with boots and I DIDN'T EVEN THINK ABOUT THIS!?!?!? Wow, thanks for that revolution that i should've thought about already! 👍💪🤘
I've had the MT82 in two different Mustangs and have never had an issue with either of them. I often think that a lot of the people that have are rough on their cars.
Great video! I look forward to your content with a manual trans Mustang GT. Like you, I Loooooove the exhaust note of the stock Mustang GT, and with the active exhaust in track mode, the sound is incredible! My ''22 Rapid Metallic Red Mustang GT is a manual and it is an absolute blast to row the gears. My other car is a C-7 Corvette (also with a manual trans) and my Mustang GT definitely sounds better.
It is so cool that you also bought a Mustang. I bought a '19 GT a few months ago. Mine is a base model but with Stick Shift. I should have done more research. My neighbors would really appreciate if I had bought the adjustable exhaust (active). I might trade this in but otherwise I really like this base model.
For daily driving smoothness the M82 is great. I prefer the Tremec for more spirited shifting. I have owned both and I like both. My current Gt has a Tremec from the factory.
Hi J, nice video!!! Love the color of your S650 Mustang. I subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to seeing the new wheels and lowered look!!! I have owned 17 Porsches and 7 Corvettes. Currently have a 911 Turbo S & the 60th anniversary of the Corvette 427 Convertible. This vette only came in a Tremec 6 spd & convertible. Both cars are one of the most fun driving cars I’ve ever driven. My brother has the C8 Z06. I have about 6K miles in his car. Love the car but after the flat-plane crank in the GT-350 engine failure I am hesitant to buy the C8 Z06. Been on the list for 3 years. Back on 6 April I ordered the Dark Horse. Still waiting on the car; the option for the Handling Pkg is currently on restraint. Hoping to get the Dark Horse in March. My 2013 Corvette 427 is the most difficult car to get out of ever; however, it is pure joy driving it and the Porsche Turbo S‼️‼️‼️ My son owns a Ford Dealership. He got me into a special Ford Engineering Seminar where I learned first hand what the Ford engineers did in addressing >113 areas of the Mustang S550 to come up with the new S650. It is awesome to see the many enhancements to the 7th generation Mustang. It drives significantly better than the S550!!! I have 7 track days already in my neighbor’s Dark Horse. He drives my Turbo S at the track when I get in his Dark Horse. If you research the track performance of the DH you will see that it outperforms the Corvette C8 Z51 at most tracks. Ford really enhanced the suspension on the Dark Horse. J thanks for sharing your thoughts & experience on your C8. I am looking hard at the Corvette Eray for a daily driver. For now when the Dark Horse comes in it will be my daily driver. Cheers Brother‼️👍👊💪😎🇺🇸
Having moved from a GT PP1, there is nothing I prefer about it to the C8. I instantly regretted the purchase of the GT and wanted my 2SS back. Camaro is just such a better handling car. Each to their own!.
The C8 interior outclasses the interior of the Mustang, by far, with its fit and finish and materials. The Mustang really needs an update in that department - especially for the 401A packages. The exterior is subjective. The rear of the S650 looks better than the C8 Stingray for sure.
Great video! It makes a lot of sense to get something like this over a C8 corvette, because the savings are huge. Plus you could never go wrong with a Manual V8 sports car 🙌🏻
I owned a 2022 C8 corvette for 8 months and now I own a 2020 mustang GT base model and I agree w/ everything you said, in 2 years I want to trade up for a Dark Horse !!! ;)
It's so funny, we have the same color C8, I love this color on cars. So when I ordered my Mustang, I HAD to get the same color if possible. Love your Mustang too
I like the point about the step in height because I am over 50 and although I am rather limber for my age that will not always be the case so I will be able to own the Mustang longer than if I bought a C8. Plus when my dad who recently turned 80 visits he should have no issue getting into the vehicle. 😁
You got a great price on that for sure! Quite a downgrade on the interior tho. I think you should have gone with a premium, leather and the 401a package. The single screen appearance and better stitching and materials make a big difference. But the manual is ALWAYS the right choice sir. Good Job there!!
I went to the 2024 C8, from the 22 GT Performance Pack 10 speed... I agree with getting in and out... the C8 is easy for my 6'4" frame when the top is off... Not so much with it on... I also think the Coyote motor sounds better... Don't care about manuals, they are slow and a pain in the dick in traffic. It's a relic from the past and I hate manuals after driving them for years... The other area I prefer the Mustang is storage space, and you can put a proper sub box and amp in the back, etc... Its a more practical daily driver, for sure. But as a pure driving experience, the C8 is worlds ahead. Comes off the line sooooo much better and the handling is a huge step up from the Mustang... I peeled off a 0-60 time in 2.7s the other day. Best I ever got in my Mustang was 4.3 or 4.4s
After you got that 2.7 what happened? LOL, just kidding. People have different opinions on things, so I understand and respect them. But driving experience is more than going fast, and I feels it more personal to drive a manual. I got bored driving an auto. In the end, some will like to go fast...but no one is doing it in the right place. The track where it counts, at least in my day it did. We did not street race. I don't daily the Mustang, nor did I daily the C8. C8 is GREAT, but there it is just not that great when compared to the Mustang overall. It's uncomfortable in every way when it comes to seating, hands down.
@@2024CorvetteE-Ray I learned to drive, on a manual. My first several cars were manuals. All 34 motorcycles have been and are manuals. Rowing gears comes naturally to me... But when I buy a performance car, I don't want the slower version of it(the manual), that's all. My C8 is my daily... If I am playing in the Mts, I just put it in Track and Manual mode, same as did with my 10 speed Mustang. I get the benefit of picking my gears, holding them, engine braking, etc... I sorta see it as the best of both worlds. All I really give up is the 3rd pedal... Other than that, push a paddle, push a lever, accomplishes the same thing, right? 🙂

Glad you're enjoying the car, bro! #STANGGANG
Thanks. I see you doing it too. Im getting to show what mine looks like shortly, it’s almost finished getting the upgrades I’ve been working on.

Nice car!!! We do have the same exact set up.. love that rev matching !!
$42k for the Mustang GT was a very good price.
I like my C8 Corvette but I don’t understand why GM equipped it with a quiet exhaust. I even have the performance exhaust and it’s quiet.

Beautiful

Alright gramps tell me more about why you couldn’t handle the vette? The only thing I hate about mine is when it gets rained on it’s a pain to clean
The Corvette does not have a manual transmission. So in that case, I would choose a Mustang.Or a camaro over it
Is that the space gray cloth seats? If so they look awesome! 👍
Yes it is! Thanks

Brother you have a usb plug behind the mirror for dash cams and whatnot don’t need to run the wire to cigarette lighter plug
Oh nice, but that is for Premium models only, I don't have it. Just looked. Thanks though

I can't disagree with your reasoning. I prefer the C8 and respect the Mustang's.
