In this video I will be tracking the evolution of Shigaraki from a tantrum-throwing manchild to a powerful villain commander and a psychotic angel of destruction. I will be breaking down the evolution of his powers and of his personality, and I will also explain why I think that Shigaraki may be the one to eventually kill All Might and bring the entire hero society to its knees.

I think Villain Protagonist is what he meant... it's just to smaller chunks of the story, not whole series.
Like how whenever Garou of opm shows up on screen, the narrative subtly change to him as villain protagonist (we hear his thought and him 'leading' the plot forward and such)

Shigaraki is not just a threat to the hero society, he's a threat to society in general, the man literally destroyed multiple city blocks just by standing in place and using his quirk. I do believe he has evolved quite well as a character and a villain, I can't wait to see him after the procedure...which looks quite painful in chapter 255.

I honestly think Deku's development is opposite similar all for one and one for all Shigaraki just learned how to use his quirk completely and he's doing an operation to get all for one or something similar but Deku has one for all and i think after this four months he will somehow get his own quirk.

Shigaraki has always been on the corner of my eye, I never thought of him as the cause of the end of the world, but now reading the manga and seeing this video, I now take my thoughts back from thinking of him as weak to the next all for one

I love how compassionate he is, and loyal. He really shows that some villains care about their friends just as much as heroes

Twice is without a doubt one of the most dangerous villains. His overcoming his trauma literally turned him into a one-man army of Quirk users.
You know what would be the greatest evolution for Shigaraki as a villain? In my opinion, it would be a confrontation with All Might where the hero tries to save him but Shigaraki casually rejects him and has someone else kill him saying something like "I have better things to do" or something to that effect. Letting go of his obsession with All Might for his true goal would show that his growth as a villain to be complete.
Well I think the best best scenario would be if Shigaraki is face to face with all might while one of his strongest allies is almost defeated or something that can slow or stop his goal of destroying hero society is happening and he decides to spare all might while saying "I'll deal with you later" to symbolize his change in ideals

Point out to them that at the beginning Shigaraki barely flaked some skin off his elbow, but by the time Overhaul attacks, he instantly destroys a minion.
Also Shigaraki wants destruction because his quirk makes him, like how La Brava loves more intensely and easily and how Toga’s attracted to blood.

His growth is so promising and he can definitely get better. I hope Horikoshi handles this upcoming war arc well. The only concern is that beside MVA, the whole season five will be set up for the war which could make a lot of anime only bored
jsale6 That's true. People who only watch for the action will definitely get bored lol. But the arcs included in that season give many of the side characters, both old and new, character development and set up future events later on. Some might think it's boring but it is crucial for the plot.

I even saw some anime only fans on comment sections and twitter complaining about the first part of the overhaul arc being slow and boring imagine when they get to season 5 where it’s literally all set up. even worst is that there are many people who gets tilted once you put attention away from the heroes and they’re just gonna hate on MVA haha
@@sjohnjason The thing is, many of the events the fans want to see cannot happen unless the "boring" elements of the story are properly set up. This includes taking the time to introduce them and allowing us as readers/watchers to adjust to their presence in the story. However, if the people who are complaining have their way then MHA would just turn into an anime like DBS where the story feels clustered and unnatural. Not to mention, the climax of it all will feel less rewarding.
Wym? season 5 going to consist of pro hero arc, joint training, and ends with mva. That sounds like a promising season.
@@2fly97 Nah, with how fast the pacing is going this season the whole Pro Hero arc will be included in this season cause gentle arc is short and the remedial course arc will be just 1.5 episodes. Unless they put a lot of fillers in the Gentle Arc (which I doubt) the whole pro hero arc will be included cause its will only take around 3-4 episode to cover. So season 5 will start with Joint training, then MVA in the middle, and end with Endeavor Agency/Kurogi stuff
Is Shigaraki a threat to All Might and the Hero Society? Your damn right he is! I have no doubt that in the near future, Shigaraki and his Paranormal Liberation Army will collapse the Hero Society in Japan! Buildings will shatter, Heroes will fall, the Villains will take over and the Students in U.A. will be forced to flee the country for their very lives! The end of an era in the Boku no Hero Academia universe is coming and coming soon, mark my words.

To me seeing shigaraki being free and using his power to its true potential shows how much Horikoshi is a star wars fan. Shigaraki is a living embodiment of the Sith code. Him and the other villains finally broke their chains, especially twice.

Love MHA,but my biggest problem was just how meh of a main villain Shigaraki was. He sucked ass,for soooo long,and I was honestly worried for the series for a while...then the MVA arc happened and KABOOM! He's actually a pretty decent villain now. His quirk seems far more dangerous,hes no longer throwing temper tantrums like a child,and he's actually cementing the League as a much bigger player in the grand scheme of things,instead of them just indiscriminately doing shit. He matured greatly,and while it did take a sec to build upto it,im absolutely glad it happened. Can't wait to see whats gonna happen during the War arc.

Being abused by the father, having a decaying quirk, not being saved by anyone, killing his dog, and his family, being insane and happy on killing his father, being a disciple of All for one and being a great villain. Or
Having a supportive family, having a decaying quirk, awaken when he touches his family killing all of them, being traumatized then maybe killing himself(I rather die than being weight by my sins). I would rather die or be a villain with no regrets of anything than suffering inside with guilt. That is more painful than death itself for me.

And also look at this way, all quirks are random, they can be made either for heroic or villainous act. So the ones who get evil quirk are choose to be villain or not use their quirks at all.

People need to read/buy the My Villian Academia volume. I just KNOW that the anime cannot make it justice. Every fan needs to witness Horikoshi's amazing line work and shading/texturing. The composition of the panels is flawless, the entire thing is just...delicious to look at.
And Ive never purchased manga before.

@@nelsonv5292 Not really try but I remember that there is a panel by the end of My Villain Academia where it is shown that his shoes are being destroyed by his quirk. The thing is, while it is heavily implied that he was activating the quirk with the fingers on his foot, it wasn't clear enough to say that it was definitely the case. It is possible that it was only the destruction from his hand spreading to the shoes but, if that is the case, why his quirk destroyed only the shoes instead of propagating to the rest of his clothes? As far as I can remember, his clothes were destroyed by Redestro's attacks, not his own quirk (except, maybe, on the final attack), so it wouldn't make much sense for only his shoes suffer that unless he was activating, even if without realizing, his quirk with toes.
Like I said, it is not like he tried to but he may already have done it. The only problem is that we can't really be sure.
All of this could have been avoided, the death and despair, the suffering he has wrought and will reap upon the world, if only someone had just given enough of a damn to try and help a child. And yet, in the end, the mob and sheep mentality of humanity gave rise to this...they only have themselves to blame. The hands have been dealt, the players have seen the cards, and now the game nears a conclusion that will scar the world forever, and in the end...I cannot help but understand what Shigaraki wants and why he wants do it, and in the end I can somewhat sympathize with both his story and his goals. As the saying goes "When we are young we idolize the heroes, but when we are grown we understand the villains."
14:10 to answer that question, in most cases no because he still wouldn’t have a quirk. However in a timeline where deku is born to a rich family, he can become batman as a bad guy, and that’s only because he studies every single hero very extensively. But if that were to happen Deku would be a force to be reckoned with

calling it here, Big final battle sees ururaka or bakugo vaporized and deku goes batshit crazy. Its one cliche I KNOW Horikoshi can't resist. Deku's got self sacrifice down pat, but once true sacrifice comes knocking, He'll truly be the greatest.
Deku had already declared that he is the greatest Hero from the start of the series, and all that's happened are kinda like flashbacks. From that statement alone, we can conclude that, no, most of his friends won't die. I say this because, in order to be a great Hero, one must no doubt be very capable of protecting his loved ones.

After just watching the Mirio episode, Mirio became my favorite hero. After watching this, Shigaraki became my favorite villain

This parallel directly fuels the idea of Villian Deku. Both had such similar childhoods but with a different aid they changed drastically. What if Deku was in his place? Well that is the idea of Villian Deku.
At first I thought that shigaraki’s new power up or overhauls power was really op cuz of the destruction capabilities but then you think of all the kids in 1-a and 1-b who have extremely broken and destructive quirks if they keep developing them over the next few months and years and you realize it’s pretty even
Now this beats the cake. Shigaraki can now just touch the ice of todoroki and boom. He touchest the "unbreakable" red riot then boom dead. I think that the deku and his allies would all jump at Shigaraki but then he just touches likd one of them then it just spreads killing most of the people.
And here we have what could be the next Iconic villain in Shounen series ,the development is on point with Shiggy , i'd say he's more developed than Deku

Tomura is my fav villain in my hero this video is everything to me.
Can I just say, after the My Villains Academia Arc, that this highlights a HUGE issue with the story of My Hero Academia that is keeping it from becoming as good as the Big 3? And that is: the main protagonist DESPERATELY needs to start having some ideological conflict with the villains. This was a problem that was hinted at in the Stain Arc, and became even more apparent to me in the later on Gentle Arc. Why is it that we have NEVER seen Deku or any of the main cast actually question the society they live in, as to why these villains feel justified in what they're doing?
Stain made some VERY valid points on the Hero Society, which Endeavor seems to know firsthand, yet no one even bats an eye to figure out if there truly are heroes in it just for the reward & not true heroes?! Moreover, Hirokoshi hasn't even written any situations with heroes like that to affirm Stain's point! Why? That was such an interesting topic of the Hero Society that shouldn't be let go of so quick.
And then there's the stuff with the Gentle Arc. Gentle had ALL THAT BACKSTORY with him....and yet NONE OF IT was relevant to Deku. Deku didn't know any better, he never got to read into the situation & understand Gentle and his whole motivations. As a result, he just saw it as a simple fight against just another villain who needed to be stopped. He doesn't connect to Gentle in ANY WAY.
And now with the Liberation Arc.....These are INSANELY GOOD backstories for these villains, yet what's the problem with it? NONE OF THIS is gonna be relevant to the Heroes. None of this is actually gonna be addressed. None of this is gonna get ideologically challenged within the Hero Society, because in the end, they're just gonna end up as simple villains who need to be stopped. I really hope Hirokoshi steps up his writing soon, and gets Deku & the main heroes to mature quick to be able to actually reflect on the points that the villains make in order to refute them.

This is something that I noticed as well, but had kinda accepted that this is how MHA is. To be fair, though, at least the intensity of Gentle's determination kinda got to Deku and it is a good way to put Deku questioning MHA's society later on (specially if the theories of the villains in jail being freed in this arc confirm and Gentle helps the heroes and shows that he was never a bad guy really).
The problem is, we need Kohei (is that how you write his name?) to actually go for that kind of questioning, which he hasn't really so far... I fear he will never make them question as well...

My best guess into why All for One put so much faith and patience into Tomura could because of
A: Maybe Tomura reminds All for One when he was coming into his own power back in his youth. Where maybe he learned to become the Apex Predator he is now after going through a countless stream of mistakes and failures. And as a result he encourages Tomura to use his experiences to teach him like his own did.
B: Tomura is to All for One what a blank canvas is to a painter. Sure, he could've gone for a more competent successor like Overhaul off the bat. But unlike Tomura people like Overhaul have their standards set for themselves. They're not as adaptive to changing themselves as Tomura has been.

I don't think so...their circumstances are similar-ish, but personallies are completely different- deku's first instinct is to help and save, but shigaraki felt GOOD while killing someone (he hated,and still)...not a very heroic virtue

I didn’t like shigaraki until odd future or MHA op 4 when I saw his walk which is cool for some reason then he became my favorite villain
Also the reason Shigariki wants destruction is because his quirk causes him to crave it, like how La Brava’s quirk made her fall in love easily and how Toga’s makes her attracted to blood.

He's already been stated to be as strong as all might. Don't know if there talking about post all might or young all might but he's strong
That's the beauty of Horikoshi's writing as while most plot and narrative points are stuff we've already seen in other anime and manga, he not only makes excellent use of it, but he builds the world around All Might as people in universe either support or stand against Izuku based on their views on the Symbol of peace.
Izuku saw him as like a demi-god that brought hope to any situation; Shigaraki saw him as the false idol whose presence prevented people from acting on their own initiative, so one sees something to protect and the other sees something to destroy. Bakugo, while firmly on Izuku's side, idolized All Might for his strength which is why where Izuku has always wanted to protect others like All Might, Katsuki wanted to always win like All Might. Then you get characters like Endeavour, who saw him as this unreachable peak, as a titan among man, while Stain saw him as the standard everyone else has to emulate else just quit.
If you look at this like this, it's fair to say that if All Might was a different character, or didnt exist, we'll have a very different MHA major characters like Izuku; Katsuki; Shoto, Dabi, Shigaraki, Star and Stripe and so many others would be drastically different without him as he is as a critical point in all their lives.
Ever since the first time i saw the summer training arc i have been hoping to see shigaraki be the one to kill All Might and if that ever happens you best believe that chapter is gonna be AMAZING!!!
As a side note, Shigaraki's dad was worse than endeavor(don't @ me)
