I always thought the little trucks on British narrow gauge lines like the Talyllyn and the Ffestiniog were so cute. They're practically like little wagons!
Thanks. Done Cei Mawr from the North side before, easily accessed from the Penrhyn to tanybwlch path, first time doing the southside shot though, it's in Coed Cae Fali Woods, which is a National Trust Woodlands, lots of nice footpaths with a few good shots just off them (the cover shot of Welsh Pony is just a bit further around from Cei Mawr), Cei Mawr shot is just off the main paths and took a bit of finding on the way, although found the well trodden path on the way back. Parking for the woods in the laybys off the A487.
Ffestiniog England Class: Prince, Princess, Palmerston, Welsh Pony, Mountaineer and Little Giant (Who’s been scrapped for god knows how long) of those aren’t Mountaineer and Little Giant the only ones scrapped? I know Princess is on a museum, not quite sure about Prince. I’ve heard somewhere that there will be a replica of Mountaneer, but I think it’s more a hope situation than true facts.
Mountaineer withdrawn 1878 and Little giant in 1929. Princess has been cosmetically restored and is in storage, brought out for special events, although will likely to go on display in the Old Engine Shed once the Boston Lodge Project is complete. The new build Mountaineer is well on the way to completion, you can support it via this link www.1863mountaineerloco.co.uk/
Good camera work - no slipshod zooming & focusing. Good sound and no stupid twee music. Excellent.
Thank you

Technically Welsh but it works lol.
The livery on the welsh pony looks stunning
especially with the matching carriages
_It'll suit his grace._
Must come and see this railway. Nice video.
I'm proud of my lineage of this railway as a Lewin.
Impressive montage there.
How did you get to the Eastern end of the stone embankment beyond Rhiw Goch? Is that via public access?

Good video, nice to see someone recording away from the ‘safe’ stations.😄

Last trip on the FR October 2019 , lockdown causing severe withdrawal symptoms!
Are chopper couplers and center buffer couplers compatible with one another?
I honestly thought prince was the last of his kind.
4 out of 6 of the Englands survive today, with a replica of No. 3 Mountaineer currently under construction
