Have you tried coiling it and then adding the hair also what if you wanted it like the traditional size rather than micro do you think they will mature with the afro kinky hair.?
No.. they would slip right out. I don't di traditional locs with extensions but the ones Ive seen are only done with instalocs
About how much hair do you add to the clients hair. Yes three pieces but how do you base how big those pieces need to be
I based it off the density of their hair. So with every client its different
Greetings sis.. I’m a fellow loctician myself and i have been thinking of adding this to my services. I do offer micro locs starter locs just not with extensions. I recently had someone ask me to do braid in micro loc extensions and i want to try it.. what length is this hair that you used? I have worked with afro kinky hair before for regular loc extensions but i don’t think i ever had it separate and look like the hair that u are feeding in here.. did u do something special to the hair? Imma go and follow and look at your videos.. thanks for your time
Hi! Ok awesome! I used 16 inches. To prep the hair I just soak it in hot water. I show myself doing that in a few of my videos. Please let me know if you have anymore questions. 😊

Do you have a video where you show installing micro locs on the edges? Can you show how to do the rotation on the edges
I will work on filming that. But I normally do a two point rotation depending on the thickness of the edges

Hello, I was wondering is there any way that you could use yarn to do micro locks because I'm allergic to any type of weave that you could put in your hair. I mean if there is a way you could do it on a video or just tell me how to do it. I done box braids, pencil, braids and single braids with it but I was wondering if there is any way I could do micro locks with it. Is there any way you can help me or tell me about that?
Hi! So I wouldn't know since Ive never braided with yarn. My thoughts are; if the style is intended to be permanent then yarn probably wouldn't be the best bet. Have you tried apple cider vinegar rinses for the hair? Also, the hair I use to do micro locs is human hair.. the hair used for braids is normally synthetic.

Thank you so much! 😊 Thank you for watching! So I twist almost to the bottom. Some unravel.. others loc faster than others. It's really dependent on how the client takes care of their hair. Its takes a minute for everything to become uniform. 🙂

How long does it take the extensions to fuse with the natural hair?
Everyone's hair is different. But around 4 months in you should see some locing. Especially in the areas the hair is the thickest

It took like 4 weeks for me! My hair is fine and appears to be finer than the extension hair used but they are beautiful
What shampoo would you recommend for maintenance?
I like to use the design essential oat protein shampoo and the honey hydrating one
Out of all the different hair brands you have used to do microlocs, which brand is your favorite, or would you say is the best? Take into consideration how well it dyes and holds color, texture, volume/pieces per package, price, how long it lasts btwn installs, and how much you have to use or purchase on average. Thank you so much! So my favorites are really based on the clients hair. I think some brands mesh better with certain textures so I wouldn't be able to just pick one. Ive only dyed one brand so far so I would have to test some others to make a fair judgement :)

I did mine using this method and had slippage. I guess it depends on the texture of your hair as well
Slippage happens regardless.. yes there can be more if you have softer texture hair but it a normal occurrence with any install

Is there a reason you don’t attach from the root?
Because then there will be a knot within the loc which can cause future issues when it starts to loc up.

Yes they will. It's human hair so It'll loc.
@@ShardelHaden that’s what I thought! There’s a popular loctician who’s telling people that it won’t ever loc with the hair. Also, if I use human kinky hair that is already a color, I could always change the color to something different right?

I’m not a stylist, but………….my stylist gets hers when it’s a little under halfway through.
She hasn’t had a problem so far.
