These look GREAT! I did my daughter's almost 2 years ago, her loose hair was mid-back length. It took me 4 days to do it, she had 541 locs. As I did each section I told her how many were in it and she jotted the numbers down. I also did one full rotation at the roots after I finished each row. I'm glad to know that my instincts were right on everything I did. Thank you for sharing this.
I'm looking to get microlocs and this particular video gives me an idea of what my hair may look like due to texture, length and density. Your videos are great! I love the way you educate us regarding our hair type.

Installing these in my daughter's hair. I thought it would be difficult, but following the steps in this tutorial is making it easy. I did it over a few days because of my time and her restlessness.
I am considering microlocs. I have been trying to do my research and watching videos to try and get some tips. Your video has answered alot of my questions. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 😊
This is a great video! I am going to get micro locs soon. I am excited and curious about how it will look over the journey and thanks for being honest about how our hair wont look like day 1 lol.

Hello! Thank you so much for your content. Your work is beautiful and info is very informative. I have an install appointment scheduled for Dec 9 and trying to decide on my grid beforehand. I do have low density and medium length hair. Actually, it favors your client’s hair in the video. Question: what’s the decision making factor when choosing a grid or the difference from brick or the method you used in this video? Thanks💖
Hi. I love your channel! You are the first person I have ever commented on. Your videos are very informative. I'm have a problem with my locs thinning. It may be something that is going on with me internal some type of medical condition. But is there anything that you can suggest that would at least help with this problem temporarily. I know that a Doctor would be more informative, but I'm out of work right now so I'm wondering if there is something that I can use that will help to slow or strengthen hair loss for now until I can find a better solution. Thanks for all the knowledge you share. Very generous and helpful.
Thank you. Staying on schedule with retightenings help minimize thinning, make sure your hair isn't too dry, when you do visit a dermatologist, check to see if there's inflammation in the scalp, etc.
I started with Sisterlocks almost 4 years ago and they were too small for me so I combined them by twisting and interlocking together at the root but that was almost 2 years ago and I can still see the pattern and I hate that! Guess they were too mature when I combined them so the pattern stayed. Anyway, I’m going to be combing them out soon and will be starting my journey over with 2 strands and doing it myself so it can be the size that I want. This video was super helpful for the parting and grid❤
I would like to see extra small 1/8”micro loc’s with 2 strand twist extensions 24 inches long interlocked at the root with crocheted ends! (This is what I plan to do to my Loc’s and eventually crochet each loc root to ends as is done to instant loc’s! I want no shrinkage, bunching or unraveling! This will be my premium loc service!)🎉😊 P.S. I’m not interested in a journey. I love the destination! ❤ I instant locked my 130 count, 1/4”x 3’ traditional small loc’s. Now I plan to do this to my extra small micro loc extensions 400 plus count. Yes, it will take quite some time to complete; that’s the reason to start with 2 strand twists that can be instantly locked over time.😊
In the beginning, it just gives it a more sleeker, neater look. But once you wash your hair, they all look the same and I don't use product for the maintenance
wow, beautiful! Can you please tell me what type of hair you would use for adding extensions, would I braid it in at the beginning, or do I need to buy or make extensions to add on? Thank you for your answer in advance.
If you're starting off with two strand twist, then I would braid the extension in at the beginning and then twist. And the extension can be as long as you want. If you're doing instaloc, then buy or make the extension and crochet it at the end of your instaloc.
I usually tell my clients to shampoo at least twist in between reties, keep their hands out their hair, no conditioner, etc. Depending on their lifestyle, tips vary. Will do a more detail video on this.
Where are you located? I'm a stylist and I want some so bad. I'm at the point were I take care of everyone's hair but mines. I need something that I don't have to touch everyday thats why I were thinking of microlocs. Also since my 2nd baby my hair kinda broke off like crazy on top of all this gray coming in. Do u think it needs to get back fully healthy before microlocs?
She just turnt 3. My breakage done grew back alot but to me its still not where it was before far as my ends. Think ill just wait a lil while later cause I have alot of new strands of gray growing in too
So beautiful. I wish I watched your video before I started my locks. I have been on my journey for 3 months now. My daughter interlocked my hair on Friday 09, 2023. I really need your virtual assistant, let me know how to contact you. Blessings
wow great information, thank you. I do have one questions, once you start shampooing your twist and they become frizzy, and loose at the end, do you Retwist the ends, or just let them be. Thank you for answering my questioning advance.
Thank you. The only ones that may become loose at the ends are hair more on the straight side. And in that case, I still have them braid and band to protect the ends and we have no issues. If you do have a couple that unravel, then I twist.
It will maintain its shape throughout. When locs thin at the root there is usually something causing it to thin out and one is too much tension. Locs should not be tightened so tight to the scalp.
Im getting ready to start my journey. I thought initially that i would just 2 strand twist it but the lady mentioned this method. I do like my hair to look full tho. Can i ask What does interlocking the root do. What difference does it make ?

Hello 👋 have a ? How do I take them down if u don't want them locked anymore. I seen a lot of people do them but I can't find where they take them out.
If you're just putting them in temporarily, then I would just two strand twist without interlocking the base. Therefore, it makes it easy to just take them down
If you start the micro locs by braiding the roots then twisting the rest, do you still have to interlock the hair afterwards? This will be my third time starting over and now I want micro locks, I have 4c natural hair and I'm over it 😩
Will interlocking at the root only as opposed to interlocking the entire twist effect the formation of the lock? My concern is the weight of the lock overtime. Will the bottom be too heavy for the root?
No, it will not effect the weight of the loc but will effect the formation of the loc temporarily. Once the twist pattern goes away and the hair is completely locd, the formation of the loc will be uniform

Brick layer is beneficial if you want the look of fullness and less scalp showing. Your main concern when it comes to density is size of Locs.
With that being said, So should the locks be small in diameter with low density hair?

It will maintain its shape throughout. When locs thin at the root there is usually something causing it to thin out and one is too much tension. Locs should not be tightened so tight to the scalp.
Beautiful work !❤

I love this. I’m just scared my hair will thin at the top.. how would I prevent that?
Less tension when retightening and styling
