Clutch damper and clutch master cylinder (pushrod wear) also give bother on these i30 and Kia aswell replaced a few of these for low bite point issues.
Cheers for information, this has a slightly low bite point but also difficulty getting first gear, got to go into 2nd gear first then go straight forward to 1st all other gears are fine! Any ideas? Cheers sandy
@@sandyande check the master cylinder pushrod hole has not been elongated, the dampers give bother you can replace them or throw away and fit a m16x1.5mm sump bung and washer in its place 👍

My damper once got ripped and oil was leaking so I actually replaced it with a new damper and Hyundai charged me £150 for part only What do you suggest, the clutch is gone or is is it the damper or clutch bleeding issue?
Great video, im in the middle of the same job. My car clutch is working when i have movement on the wheels. However when parking and car comes to a stop, grinding starts, then clutch isn't working properly. Wont go into gear.
@@Risty47 Thanks I actually just reattached the slave with the 2 bolts and popped it back into the fork,, because I didn't have any leaks and I didn't open any fluid caps,,,,but that makes sense now because I've a small issue sometimes going into first and I got the gearbox rebuilt while I was there,,,, thanks for you advice really appreciate it👍👍👍
Hi Sandy fantastic video love the accent I need you help my ix35 1.7 has the whole drivetrain shaking when I’m slipping the clutch without giving gas, same when down shifting slowly Otherwise runs and shifts perfect I’m suspecting some oil or diesel that would have leaked onto the clutch plates is there a window through which i could spray some brake cleaner onto the clutch😬😬😬

Did you do clutch or was it the clutch moderator at fault, common issue?
@@conceptrestoration1107 the four springs where broken on the clutch, same as in this video. New clutch fixed the issue

@@johncoady9237 yes u have to bleed the clutch there is an nipple that u have to screw open and then u have to pump the clutch !

I’m afraid it’s a gearbox out job to check clutch for contamination especially the engine crank seal
Is it nessasary to change the flywheel and slave when changing the clutch kit?

I have a IX35 that grinds the 4th and 6 th gear some do you think its the clutch that is worn or the syncronizing rings??
