Great job again 👏 you make clutches look easy!!! The previous shape i30 had a full subframe so it's nice to see they have changed it to this design, I fitted a clutch to a 62 plate sportage a few weeks back and they have done the same with that, the previous shape had a full subframe which made it fun and games! Keep up the great work 💪 I've had a few weeks of nothing but problems and to be honest watching your videos has kept me in the trade! Watching your videos seems to give me a boost to keep going and not give up! Thanks
Thanks Sinan. Really appreciate the feedback. You’re absolutely correct with the subframe. And to be honest I think in terms of weight. The earlier gearboxes weighed a lot lot more than the newer ones. And a lot more durable. You’ll have a much better week again mate. Everything is a wave. Peaks and troughs.

So you think this is a great job? So where is the crankshaft oil seal replacement from the video? That's why I hate all English service, because they can only wade!
I like Koreans because they use old and reliable solutions today. I had in 1996 Hyundai Accent 1.3L 84hp. The car has the same clutch bearing and the same clutch slave cylinder with Hyundai i30. Dont need venting after change clutch set.
Very good this one! After being out of RUclips l come back again. This one seems to be very comfortable to do!. No subframe... A lot of space there down to take out the gearbox... Just the rain maybe slowing down your work a bit. The clutch did not seem to be completely worn out. Good to see you working and with almost 10k subscribers more since summer started! Take care!
You must be getting soft with all the Mats,,, fair play to you, look like a man who knows how to just get on with it, not enough like you in the country, well done
I assume that was a dual mass flywheel? Then why not a solid single mass flywheel as the clutch plate is the sprung type I used to replace on cars back in the eighties and never had any issues. I hate those DMF's there just a money grabber and their crap. Good job mate.
Hello my husband has a Hyundai I30 diesel that's done around 92000 on the clock on a 65 plate the clutch needed replacing and we bought one from Euro parts unfortunately the clutch did not fit and had to buy from main dealers once the new clutch was fitted the car has now developed a whistling noise we have told the garage it was not there before ...We have had to leave the car with them while they figure it out any help appreciated greatly friends have mentioned it could be bearings on the flywheel ?
Well just to let people know we have an update and hope it may help someone else ...We found that the parts from Hyundai were in fact coming up with a significant difference in size there was found to be a 5mm size difference on the fly wheel which caused the sound and also caused damage to the slave cylinder and clutch so we also put in a complaint with Hyundai and got all new parts replaced(as we should ) also for anyone ordering parts with Hyundai keep your old parts and measure with a gage and check the new parts with a gage before leaving Hyundai to make sure they are correct they were right parts but Hyundai parts makers botched up and had to make a recall on there production line. Handy to know so you don't rack up a huge bill with your garage for having to put in and take out again time is money after all ... plus when ordering a clutch kit and fly wheel with them make sure you order the 8 bolts needed to replace your clutch system as they don't advise you at the point of sale and don't tell you they expect you to know .... Your old bolts are no good as they will be worn and stretched ... we are filing a big complaint with Hyundai for all the costs that they have cost us I hope this helps someone truly from what we went through
Does anyone know if a kia ceed gt’s gearbox is a straight swap in a ceed 1.6 crdi? The ratio in the 1.6 crdi gearbox makes the car so dull and sluggish. Unless you thrash it in every gear, after every gear change the revs are back at like 1200 rpm and you’ve got no power again. The ratios in the ceed gts box would allow the revs to stay around 1500-2000 rpm when driving normal meaning you still have power when you need it in most gears and would make the car feel alot more lively as it would like to rev alot quicker making it a more fun drive.
Somethings wrong with your crdi, mine is the 113bhp version and it pulls throughout the rev range very strongly. Like all diesels it does perform better using the torque and not revved beyond 3.5k ish. Yours sounds like its got low speed turbo lag.
What grease do you use on gearbox splines, release mechanism and what cleaning fluid do you use for washing the bell housing and clutch metal surfaces? Can you show us how your clutch alignment tool works?
@@WMCS Thank you for your answer, you do a great job, I would like to know something, but I have to limit myself to seeing those who know, thank you very much.

Brilliant. I hope you change a clutch on an audi A3 (8P). 2.0 TDI Quattro. That will be interesting...
Any idea when to replace the clutch plate on an automatic transmission?
Great work, subbed, is the clutch a weak point on these?
Issue always seems to be the pressure plate/thrust bearing contact. Always premature wear on that point which causes heavy clutch
