Good morning Thomas. Tue. Tallahasse FL. 8:00am est. Just rewatching this tire upgrade over coffee. I like the BFG K3 choice. The best choice for overall use on/offroad in my opinion also. My stock tires, Goodyear wrangler A/T 235/75r15 on the same rims as you have are still 70% tread so I'll keep saving for a winter lift (eyeballs on the, If had more money than commonsense, OME 4.5 short arm kit, yep, bolt on as I not as good as I once was, and, tires BFG K3 probably too), while prepping by keeping my eyes peeled for still good cheap, "yuppie guppie" JL, JK takeoff suspension parts so, I dont take the hit of new parts prices. Anyhoo, looking forward to your next video or update mod. Make it a good day bud!

Iv always been a fan of BFG tires iv never balanced my offroad tires and they still ride great on the road at 80 mph. I tried another brand on my chevy and I regret it.

I did a very similar spacer for the front shocks. On the rear shocks I welded some 3/16" plate above the axle shock mounts with new holes 2" higher. I'm using just 2" spacers for 31" tires. I also put on some 2" plastic bump stop spacers on the front and welded in some 2" bump stop spacers on the rear because I didn't want to ruin the shocks if it compressed too much. I love the way my ZJ handles off road. Now if only the gas mileage was better! I have the 5.2, would have preferred a 4.0 but we can't be too choosey when searching for craigslist bargains.

I think I spent less than $5 for the front shock spacers lol. I took it out last weekend and so far they are holding up just fine and I wheeled it hard.

Wj rear lower control arms are a bit longer for the rear lower, and they are built way better, you have to grind the width a bit for the bushings but they are cheap and put your tire a bit farther away from the body

    • @thomasbeyer

Turn your wheels all the way to the left and right and check your clearances the more spacer the more scrub radius you will have. The more scrub radius you have the further the wheel center moves forward and rearward during turning so if you're clearing now and it's close it may not clear with wheel spacers.

Good morning, Thomas. Could you answer a few questions please. Mine is 95 JGC laredo, 6 cyl. Stock. You know I have been watching your vids for a bit trying to save and decide what to do. Now, Im starting to buy. No friends to help. On me to do. Super budget, just like you did here. I am going budget pucks since I am out of pocket as well. I found some steel 3 inch pucks on amazon that claim actual 3 inches. You know the ones. You said the aluminum ones you got are garbage. I thought doing a bastard lift moving front springs to back but, the pucks will do for now. Im not doing this for wheeling as much as overland off road clearance for forest obscacles I may encounter. Before I order them, I wondered your opinion. I will being going with the same size km3 as you did with stock 7 inch wide 15" aluminum wheels like your stock ones in this video. I am trying to find some budget shocks but wondered in your research, is there any shocks from rock auto, that you would recommend for a from stock to 3 inch puck that would give road and light overland camping prowess.thanks for any recomendations.
