@freakinreviews I see you are using the klein ti250. I'm thinking about getting one but amazon has it marked as a frequently returned item. Is it good? How long have you had it? Please and thank you
This is the first give away I have entered and I have fingers crossed. I don't use Instagram or Facebook, so not sure how much that will affect my chances.
I cannot comprehend having a Better Breader taking up that much space in my kitchen cabinet when I could use a chopping board and a bowl - objects I already have in my kitchen.
I don't understand the process myself. I mean, it seems so much worse than just having a bowl with the breading, and placing the food on the breading to cover it. . . . Faster. Less mess. Fewer dishes.
I'm seriously considering getting the warming mat for a totally different use. Artists use heated surfaces to draw on with colored pencils because the heat blends them together with a paint like finish. There is something called an Icarus board that can be used that is extremely expensive. Some use an electric griddle but those can get way too hot. This might be just what I needed!
Late to this video, but why not try a heating pad (for humans) and then put something flat on top of it (ideally like a sheet of metal/ cookie pan). It would be cheaper, and would have multiple uses. Just gotta make sure it gets as hot as you need.
Great stuff here. The only thing I would have done was dried the breading bowl fully. Just like bread crumbs stick to whatever your breading because it's wet, it will also stick to the breading bowl bowl because you left the insides wet.
I feel like the Better Breader would help eliminate the one time use ziplock bags so that's a good thing. Also, I wonder if you covered your casserole if that would help lock in the heat even better! Not sure about Huey lol. Fun video ❤
@laurahubbard6906 pretty sure 😂I hated when mine would get the least bit wet and then it would rip and shred to pieces and everything would fall out. Bummer bag 😂😂
The warming mat is probably the winner here. Not everyone would have a use for it, but those that have parties and/or have multi-course meals will likely benefit. Some stoves offer a 'keep warm' type function, but not all.
I like the Better Breader, even though ziplocks and tupperware type things will also work. It makes it more evenly breaded, but also if using a ziplock the crumbs sometimes end up stuck in the zipper closure and make it a mess to open and re close for each piece of chicken. It’s not necessary to have it but it might help things be less of a hassle
I have the XL version of the Better Breader, as well as a competing product called "Batter Pro" that is two identical bowls with a connecting piece with holes in it. The Better Breader works better for the intended purpose, but I kept the "Batter Pro" because it's great for separating unpopped kernals from popcorn.
Check out heated desk mats as a cheaper alternative to the food warming mat. For that matter, I recommend heated desk mats/heated mouse covers as a fun product to review for work at home people in chilly basements.
Huey was struggling with the candle and lamp because of the LED's ambient lights, if it wasn't reading the item, it was picking up the pink/blue/purple lights you have by the shelf
im 60 and i have never used a zip lock bag to bread anything, i usually put some bread crumbs on a plate put the meat on the layer and spread some on top and rub it in, although all the methods you did are faster but the waste a lot more bread crumbs
A lidded bowl or container works just as good as that breading doohickey. With the bowl you already have and you can do multiple peices at a time. Free, less mess, and can probably go in the dish washer.😅😊
The light is cute, but I agree that after a while, it would be one of those items that get put aside and forgotten about. Fun gift for kids, though, or someone who likes chameleons.😊

At risk of taking an intended joke comment seriously... While one of my cats' litterbox does have a similar intended function, even the XL better breader I already have would be WAY too small for that. (Plus, those types of litter box actually don't work that well since the liquid litter seeps below the separator.)
Around the parts of Europe where I live (Hungary) we don't even use a bag. We just pour the crumbs on a plate or in a bowl, lay the meat on it, turn it over (maybe move a little bit for each side of the crumbs don't readily stick to the meat surface) - and there you have a breaded piece of meat. About 4-5 seconds a piece, nothing more than a plate to clean up afterwards (plus a fork if you use one to handle the meat). (The only downside is that you really can do only one piece of meat a time with this method.)
@@bioLarzen Exactly this! I have never heard about the ziplock bag method before! I use three bowls-one for flour, one for egg and milk, and the third for breadcrumbs. 1) flour your chicken meat first, so that the egg sticks better to it 2) then do the egg diluted with a little milk 3) put into breadcrumbs bowl from the first side, then turn the meat to the other side, so that you coat both sides 4) then egg mixture again 5 and breadcrumbs from both sides again (for double coating, since a single coat to me seems too thin) 6) and finally straight to the heated pan with oil. I use a fork to move and flip the chicken meat and it takes me only a few seconds to do this entire process. I don't think I could justify having this large plastic bowl with a sive, even if it saved me a few seconds.
@@horsinacz What's "a few seconds" to you? 5? 10? 25? And there's no way it's only "a few seconds" when you double bread your meat. Also, putting it directly into the oil will not allow the breading to actually adhere to the meat so it'll just cook off in the oil.
I made a Huey a few tears back. Not plastic like this, more like those light-up acrylic displays. Colour sensor was at the front, and automatically locked to the last colour it saw. Made a few as presents for kids, they seemed to like them. Huh, should make some more.

we have a breading bowl, idk if it's that brand. And it's literally been used once in the passed 2 or 3 years of it taking up space under our cabinet. I'm not exaggerating either. And I think part of it is the one time we tried it, the results seemed less satisfactory than if we'd just done it the old way by hand.
I mean the better breader does have ONE advantage other than being more even than a plastic ziplock bag....over time the fact it's reusable will pay for itself in the cost of bags, plus less bags in the garbage is a good thing. I'm eyeing the food warmer...looks good for fridge leftovers.
i will say, it does pretty well simply on the fact that the two colors huey seems to struggle with are colors that cant be recreated in the color spectrum
The reason why I like the better breader is because with a ziploc bag, you gotta open and close it every time with the little ziploc thing. And if you have dirty hands, it can be quite hard to deal with the ziploc bag. But that lid comes on and off very easy. I feel like it's a better product. It just depends on the price like I said. What's that?
You don't have to close a ziploc bag, you just squeeze the bag and shake. Then pull it open (notice I didn't say "unzip it" because it never got zipped in the first place). What's so hard about that? Besides - you want to have to push a lid on (it has to snap in place or you run the risk of throwing seasoning, oil, etc everywhere) and popping the lid off. Bleh.

how about doing a crepe maker there are some videos out there about them..
It does work in the on mode it's just supposed to slowly change like a real chameleon
Why buy a Better Breader when everyone has a lot of plastic containers they can use, or I just use the plastic produce bags which I save.
Dang, Bailey has a lot of toys
When are we going to get a review video exclusively of dog treats so sweet Bailey can participate?
I don't think it's a chameleon, since it don't want to work with black.
It could have been a Trumpeleon or a a Muskeleon😅😂
Always a good day when a freakin reviews video goes up!
Thanks
I'm kind of digging that Better Breader.
You didn't have a control casserole for the warming mat. Do more warming mats.
I think huey, the name is from silent running the movie
Wow just wow
Okay the Better breeder it works as it should 4:40 they got different size I had it for a while and it works as it should. Great review on the rest of the products.
Please do The Duck portable vacuum
I can see a use for the better breader because then you’re not throwing a lot of Ziploc bags into the landfill
