For example the written one doesn’t show the buttermilk mix and all other ingredients are at different amounts. I ended up making it with video and improvising some. Could you please revise the written recipe? I see it was updated recently which made me more confused. I love your channel. Thank you
I just made these, family loved them. A couple of things, For Buttercream you didn't write when to add the salt. And for the filling you didn't mention how much butter to add to the pudding. I used 2 tablespoon of butter. Other than those two missing items these cupcakes are Great. Will make more. Thank you for sharing.
Hi John! I know you are always saying you love to hear everyone’s comments about your recipes.. first off, let me say that I have gained 10 lbs. just by binge watching your channel!! I made these pumpkin spice cupcakes last evening and I was a wee bit disappointed with them.. my batch came out very dense & heavy. I attribute that to several factors..right before I incorporated everything, I noticed that you did not call for any levelling agents, ie baking soda or baking powder or salt. I did not add salt, but I added 1/2 tsp baking powder. I think I should have added 1 tsp. as you often suggest in your other recipes.. next, my butter/sugar mixture did not look like yours. I have a Cuisinart stand mixer & it doesn’t mix like your Kitchen Aid. Next time I make these, I am going to use a hand mixer to whip up the butter & sugar to give it more of any airy texture. I will definitely add 1tsp baking powder or baking soda & also some kosher salt. I also didn’t infuse the cupcakes with your vanilla pudding as I was running short of time. I piped the cupcakes with your buttercream frosting recipe & the frosting really helped to make a difference in taste. I’ve posted a picture on my Instagram account.. Cupcake Adventures (By the by..I also made your Pumpkin Pie recipe and it was amazing.. a real hit...except for the whipped cream...yours piped beautifully...mine was an epic failure...still yummy though! 🥧 🎃😅)... Can you teach us how to make cream cheese frosting? Every time I make some, it turns out very thin. Good enough to ice a cake, but not to pipe it on cupcakes. It never holds its shape

I tried making these and I think I added too much baking soda because they rose super fast then collapsed. I doubled the recipe and failed. I'm retrying them today just as a single batch!
I wonder if you throw the ingredients for the pudding in a powerful blender, if it will emulsify enough for you to be able to microwave the pudding. not that I'm that lazy, but I love science behind things.

I made these and the kids went nuts!! I ended up with about 1 1/2 cups of leftover frosting; but it went well on pumpkin pancakes the next day.
