I prefer B. A seemed to have a presence boost in the mid/mid high range. B sounds warmer and handled the lows better to my ear. Both sound great still I just prefer that vintage tone.
Nah there is such thing as bad interfaces. The end sound product of a record after mix and master is all dependent on the recording and its quality. Good recording and a good sound/recording engineer is what dictates a good mix and master and a high quality sounding record.
Even if audient here is mk I, it is less noisy than UA. But seems UA is slightly warmer and transienty, but just very small nuances, can be compensated and improved with good plugins, transient eqs, saturators etc..
Hey Thomas, Your videos are great, not only the content but also the quality. Please kindly tell me which camera do you use? I appreciate your time. Mx
A just exencuates the masking and has so much mids making it sound annoying. B sounded worse on one track, but as you built up the layers it showed how it had more separation and depth. It lacked some color compared to A but I think B is better than A judging how it handled the sounds
Looks like I'm going against the grain here, but I actually prefer a. It's more detailed in the high end and I prefer the livelier feel of it. It's more energetic
i own forcusite n volt. i went too my volt because it sounds wayyy better and my vocals are smooth,, but with my forcusite it makes my stuff sound thin with no type of bass too it .
Hi I’ve to buy a new audio unit and I’m really in difficult between these ones, which one do you recommend? I am not a great user of analogic instruments so I need low latency and a great sound and power, I’m in your hands 🙏🏻
I Thought there would be some depth and analog color added with the Volt but its not heard...Thats disappointing...Unless something is not connected right.. 🤔
@@GingerDrums plugins cant produce the sonic analog sound respectfully. Most of the music you hear on radio is NOT digital alone. Its mixed with tube compressors, eq's transformers, etc
@Minista Cue simoly not true. Andrew scheps, wallace, many riannah and beyonce singles have been mixed in the box. I own several vari-mu conmressors, SH dual Vandergraph, DAV and wes audio passive eq.... it sounds different, not better, and I often chose the pluging OVER the hardware.
@Minista Cue yes certainly. Plugins sound just as good if not better than hardware in many cases. If you are oversampling non-linear effects and gain staging properly I would bet my mums life you could not tell the difference between alanogue and digital. anything dave pensado or Andrew scheps mixed in the last 5 years is 100%itb. I apparently never shared the results: A: Audient B: Volt
lol ty at the end of the video i was really confused
@@tzpolo you litteraly just have to look at the interface the specter is moving
Volt for the win. 🏆
@@2PK1.7 LOL Didnt noticed that ty! 😅
A had a better high end thanks!
I liked B a bit better. I did think that maybe A handled transients just a touch better, but B had a smoother to end, in my opinion.
Both are good but your music make them sound even better
FACTS !
The compression on B makes a huge difference in distortion levels 👌🏼👌🏼
I prefer B. A seemed to have a presence boost in the mid/mid high range. B sounds warmer and handled the lows better to my ear. Both sound great still I just prefer that vintage tone.
Preferred A, sounds more rich and detailed to me
Honestly it’s 2023 there’s no such thing as a bad interface but the fact that the volt has a built in compressor has me sold
In my yamaha AG06 100,$ comp & rev & eq!)
Except for the Focusrites, people don’t want to admit but the pre amps and converters just sound bad compared to almost anything else
The M-Audio interfaces are awful.
@@levi8781you must’ve never tried the gen 4 focusrite or the clarett 2 pre + by focusrite

B was much warmer and had a vintage sound must be uad
nope its audient
you are correct. It’s the Universal Audient Duh. 😂😂
I didn't knew you. I honestly liked your music, enough to make me comment this, congratulations, you have awesome taste
Your music taste is incredible.
When it's all added up, I really like B.
B sounded better to me
A more crisp cleaner & punch B is a tad distorted A is for Audient
Wait, which is which??
Wow so many 'experts' in the comment section.
We are very much a like my guy, i play everything too
which is which? move clarity and better sound stage out of B imo
I love my Volt after two-three months in. But this is close lol
I played this back so much times. This track is fire 🔥
are you high?
Dude they sound the same to me
Ear training lacking or good monitoring lacking right there
@@shaaionmusic In other words, they do sound the same -in a real world practical sense.
what's the point if you never tell which is which

B all the way for me. smoother and fuller to my ears
Love the video. I actually use this AI. Think I’m going to do a review on it. Thanks for the video.👍
If the ID14 is interface two it’s amazing. Sounds rounder and a bit more refined
That song is fire
sounds like he is going for a DJ Shadow Midnight In A Perfect World kind of vibe
audient sounds more transparent, transient-ish, and forward
volt sound more warm, round, and vintage
Skillz 🎹 🌟💁🏾♂️
The question is what is their sound quality in my setup , its more important then quality of the preamps

Anyone else notice the input meter LEDs on the Volt is active for the whole recording? Lol
Can you share your drums mic

Very similar results! But I pick the A interface!
which is which?
This track is so good
Thanks for actually good music at a shoot out. 😅 Great content.
I like the Audient but then the Volt has a warmth and crispness.
That’s a big difference, B was easier on the ears.
B has that character feel to it. A was slightly cleaner

Are you recording the instruments straight into the interface, or through a microphone connected to the interface?
How do you record into an interface without a mic
@@ethosss jacks
The only thing that steers me away from the Volt is being locked into only using UA plugins.
Why would you be locked into only using UA plugins?
If you listen closely you can actually hear the difference
Nice tune!
What is the answer???
what is the name of this song?🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
What is the point of this if you not announce which is which? Are you having a fun?
how did u mic the drums?
B is little bit warm
B sounds a lot more clearer and less gritty and smooth
A sounds cleaner
I agree i thought B sounded a bit harsh and would need EQ for the bad frequencies
Hey thomas, can you tell me the name of the song?
It’s just a jam, made on the spot for this very video
Can you make a complete version of this and upload? I would love to write something over it.
That volt is very impressive if it sounds better than the audient which it does.
Volt win !!!!
Hi I’ve to buy a new audio unit and I’m really in difficult between these ones, which one do you recommend? I am not a great user of analogic instruments so I need low latency and a great sound and power, I’m in your hands 🙏🏻
Volt with the 76 and vintage mic preamp
I like A better
A distorts and has less headroom. But sounds more analog if that’s what your going for. I would imagine A is the volt
Audient technical support is horrendous and repairs are expensive
😂
I have the audient id14 first generation 8 years ...never have a problem😂
I love volt
I like B more until you added the synth
Same
I Thought there would be some depth and analog color added with the Volt but its not heard...Thats disappointing...Unless something is not connected right.. 🤔
"Depth" and "analogue colour"... we are in 2023. I have tons of hardware, its different, not better than plugins

audient !
B = better
Is B even working 🤣 I don't see any colour in there
per me, tutta la vita Audient..ha un suono più definito e fermo..la UA è più ovattata, meno definita e le basse sono molto impastate
B sounded way worse
B is audient no doubt
A is uad volt and thats trash to the audient
which one would u recommend me bro?
😬

B
Audient light is not blink for a single second... i.e you only use the volt
