The dragons are not bipedal in the first game. They are like bears, they walk on all fours and can stand up at times if they like. There are even dragons you rescue that do stay on all fours. This is what bugged me about the reignited remake.

I would say nowadays devs tend to focus too much on graphics instead of style and creative use of technology. Spyro Re-Ignited have imo less expresive characters and not so memoriable characters as original, due to this.

I played the original Spyro games countlessly since their inception, they are still my favourite games of all time. I’m a huge fan to say the least and I honestly did not know 9 of the 10 things you listed in this video. This video is a GEM to all ps1 era Spyro fans. Two things CGE: 1) PLEASE try and get in touch with more of the team that developed the original spyro games 2) I WANT TO PLAY SPYRO 4
I remember Oliver in the old PlayStation underground everyone at insomniac compared him to ripto also I knew about the Amish dolphin rider, and dragon but the person who originally got them from Oliver said they were from Spyro 3
How did you show the concept sketches from Spyro 1 at 4:09 without even mentioning the fact that they are literally early concepts of The Professor and a Landlubber from Spyro 2 and The Sorcerous and Bianca from Spyro 3?
But they aren’t concept art for Spyro 1, they’re just a handful of concept art pieces Oliver Wade made during his time working on the games - 2 and 3, specifically, rather than being art from 1 that was reused later.

Honestly though I’m sceptical that it was ever meant for Spyro 1 because when I and someone else asked Oliver before he just said they were planned for Aquaria Towers. The only full grownup dragon that is a female is the Dragoness Nurse from Spyro A Hero's Tail when the nah nah nah thieves stolen the eggs from a daycare. Only mentioning that as a reference. Us learning all of this, maybe one day Seria Entertainment or Krome Studios could answer the question if Malefor and the Sorcerer from Shadow Legacy are the same character or separate. BTW: I did picture in my head of a classic Malefor walking on 2 legs.
