That’s an interesting idea, and more kid-friendly than how it was in TLOS. To those who don’t know, in TLOS, on the night of Spyro’s birth, an army of apes raided the temple in which all the dragon eggs were. Spyro’s egg was saved by Ignitus, and was put in a lake that led it to Sparx’s family, which led to Spyro and Sparx growing up as brothers. Cynder’s egg was taken by the apes to the dark master, aka Malefor, which led to her being corrupted by darkness. As for the rest of the eggs, they were all smashed. All the dragons of Spyro’s age, except for Cynder, were killed before they were even born.
@@Ori_Kohav just to expand on this. Spyro was special because he was purple. Purple dragons can learn all of the elements. Malefor was also a purple dragon but went bad.
1. There weren't baby dragons for a number of reasons. Spyro could've been the only survivor of his clutch. He could have been the first to hatch, hence why Spyro 1 has eggs to collect. The other baby dragons could've been less brave than Spyro and hid as some as the spell turned the adults to crystal and Gnorcs invaded. 3. The nature of portals is not fully understood. Do they only allow teleportation or travel across dimensions? Even if confined to the same dimension, it could be there's more than one dragon society which is the one Ripto has experienced. Another theory is Ripto had been defeated by dragons prior to Spyro being born and retreated/got banished far enough away to not hear about Spyro's exploits. It's honestly not really a plothole. It's more just incomplete information. Everything works, there's just not a detailed time line explained that would've killed the pace of the story.
I've been scrolling for a while and you're the only one I've seen mentioning that Ripto could very well have just been banished by the dragons Pre-Spyro. Which would very much explain why he hates dragons, and knows about them, but doesn't know Spyro and Spyro doesn't know him. Like you said, they're not plotholes, just incomplete info.
@@TheShinjiakamoto It could also be he comes from a dimension that also has dragons or dragon like creatures coincidentally called the same thing, like dragons are a universal constant across dimensions. (I'm going to stop here before I start theorising magic works by manipulating quantum states across dimensions like I'm drunk Matpat)
@@TheShinjiakamoto yeah I was going to say something similar and it's very obvious, Spyro is a YOUNG dragon, dude doesn't even know about the realms where the Sorceress lived, maybe that's where Ripto was chilling? Or something similar? It's not a plot hole at all, just not fully addressed in the game
There's also the way Elora reacts just before Hunter puts in the coordinates. It's almost like she knew where those coordinates were. Could she have known who Ripto was? On a side note, it was neat to see Jersey Devil getting a cameo in the video.
Pretty good concept, however the only nitpick that I do have is that this doesn't account for the Dragon eggs that you find in Spyro 1 (unless it's given context in Spyro 3 which I missed).
Yeah this is a good point. The eggs in 1, to me, always felt like they were... undeveloped? eggs that then grew into the eggs in 3. Like maybe the fairies are incubating them, and collecting them in 1 returns them to the fairies so they can continue to be incubated before it's time to bring them to the dragons for the yotd festival/celebration
Depends on how far apart the games are from between each of them. spyro 1 to Spyro 3 could only be like a month apart… since Spyro 2 took right after spyro 1 and he went on his adventure stating be back by lunchtime which spyro 2 was def a few days long at most to take care of ripto in Avalar
That could be explained by those eggs appearing with Spyro's egg from the Nomads' realm but Spyro just hatched first and the other eggs have yet to hatch.
Great ideas CGE! This definitely feels like a classic Spyro game plotline that not only includes Cynder, but also explains why the elder dragons said Spyro was special without having him be some sort of rare purple prophecy dragon destined to save all dragon-kind, and without it being overly epic, dark, serious and cinematic like LOS, a tone which in my opinion, doesn’t suit Spyro. I can see this being the story of Spyro 4 now. Great video, thanks again for increasing my hype for Spyro 4.
TLoS was super great tho, particularly thanks to its story. I think there is room for both out there, I definitely prefer the lore and mechanics of TLoS over the OG trilogy...
All of these interesting tidbits within the Spyro lore, I really hope that we get an interesting story in Spyro 4. Post PS1 Spyro games, those developers try to make the Spyro games really great, but failed to do so due to the fact Universal Studios at that time made them rush to release those games which is why those Spyro games post PS1 did I sell really well especially Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. Spyro 4 hopefully will be a true sequel to Year of the Dragon. Maybe references from the different versions of Spyro from the Legends series or the Skylanders series. Spyro is all fired up for what’s coming for him.
Here's another potential idea: Taking the basis of CGE's theory of Ripto coming from a realm with dragons that isn't the Dragon Realms, what if the reason Ripto hated dragons so much was because he was in direct competition with one over the control of whatever realm he was from. As in, he was one of two dominant powers vying for control...and he was losing. Seeing as how he was so quick to decide to pack up and move in to Avalar, I'd say he was losing quite badly, as well. But who would Ripto's opponent be in that other world? Well, he had to have been a dragon for Ripto to hate an entire species so much. And there is a dragon villain in a different rendition of Spyro already, which would make this particular plot the perfect chance to bring back the Dark Master himself: Malefor. Based more off the Legend version than the Skylanders version, obviously.
I mean, if you look at Flame and Ember from A Hero's Tail, they probably either weren't heroic enough or too scared to do anything about Gnasty Gnorc at the time, fearing the same fate as the Adult Dragons. Maybe Spyro was the only Child Dragon who actually had enough courage to do anything?
Toys for Bob hire this man right now. That idea for a Spyro 4 was so good. The only thing I'd like to add is how you mentioned Okami in your talk with Paul Yan. Instead of just using the crystalised dragon mechanic from the first game, you could use the logic that since the crystal is sapping the dragons' energy, that its causing the world and environment to wither and decay. Freeing a dragon in an area will bring that part of the world back to life and open up new paths and ways to progress the game or find secret collectibles. And make some of these dragons a bit harder to find or you have to complete a challenge to free some similar to how orbs worked in the second. Absolutely loved the ideas though and look forward to whatever a potential new game will offer regardless.
@@tailsprower8118 well it can be seen when completing Spyro 3 fully and I can explain it, but it will give spoilers about what the ending of Spyro 3 will show so if you still want me to tell you then I’ll tell it, but if you don’t want me to tell you so you can discover the ending for yourself then that’s also okay as now you still have that option then 💜
This is a very good idea considering the absence of other young dragons around Spyro’s age. I love the idea of bringing fan favorite characters like Cynder into the Classic Gen and give them new roles to fill the gap. It’s because of this that reminds me of an artist by the name BatLover800 who drew art of Classic Spyro encountering WhirlWind needing help for her Unicorn friends. Skylanders have a lot of Dragons and overall lot of characters that could (and given a redesign to fit in) be reintroduced into the Classic Spyro era. Some Dragons like WhirlWind and Drobot could even be at Spyro’s age too.
I always theorized that all the other hatchlings from Spyro's year are gone, because the sorceress (or whoever the sorcereress learned her spells from) used all the baby dragons from that year to develop the immortality spell. How else would the sorceress know that it needed so many baby dragon wings? Someone would have had to do the spell once to know it worked, right?
@@markofabecic6824 Hence why the dragons allude to spyro being special: he was the only survivor of whatever wiped out the rest of his nestmates. I do think it could have been more than just the previous yotd that got wiped out though considering a lot of the adult dragons seem more than just 12 ish years older than spyro? Like if they only have babies every 12 years, they probably age slower than we do, and hit adulthood at 24 or 36 years? I feel like we would see some younger dragons between spyro's age and the age of some of the dragons we rescue if there was a successful hatch the time before spyro's hatching
I agree that more then likely Spyro 4's story is going to largely base on where he came from and why he was the only one from his litter during the year of the Dragon, but I'm not sure if it's gonna be this detailed lol. Also Ripto got Gulp from Gnasty's world which is how Ripto probably found out and learned about the dragons. If not, Ripto being magic as well could have EASILY came from the forgotten realms and was there when the Sorceress sent them away but once the magic left with the dragons, he lost his magic so he traveled to Avalar where he was JUST close enough to the Dragon Worlds where he got his magic back without being TOO close because he hates dragons.
I have to say you bring up some very good points for the original Spyro trilogy Canadian Guy. As I've wondered myself like how there aren't any other dragon kids besides Spyro in the original trilogy running around or just what other worlds are out there besides the Dragon worlds that have dragons like the world that Ripto had came from. But keep up the awesome work!
I called it! Also this was explained in the original ps1 manual, for the first game, Spyro is young but technically full grown, which is why his dragon brothers make fun of his stature, even the reason that nasty gnork didn’t turn Spyro into a statue because he didn’t think he could do anything to stop him. It’s genuinely explained in the first games official booklet, he’s young but not a baby, he again is TECHNICALLY FULL GROWN, he’s just small. But yea to those who don’t know I literally predicted what Canadian guy Ayys video was going to be about, and if I’m being honest if you just read the PS1 booklet it’s literally explained that he’s a full grown dragon with a small stature, which is why you don’t want to underestimate him.
I don't see how Ripto and Spyro never hearing of each other being a plot hole. There's no reason why there can't be dragons that are not from the Dragon Realm to exist. Just because a place is known as the Dragon Realms is called the Dragon Realms, doesn't mean it's the only realm with dragons. And I mean dragons that never came from the Forgotten Realm too. As for why Spyro is the only young dragon, there could've been an incident where either something happened that resulted with the fairies bringing only Spyro's egg and none more or there were other eggs and something happened that resulted with their destruction or getting lost/stolen. There could even be younger dragons, but they were simply not present at the time Gnasty Gnorc attacked.
@@topazblaze175 By going into it with lowest expectations ofc. They will make something completely different when someone comes up with an idea that's not part of the company and its always worse. Oh and did I forget to mention its Activision?!
So Spyro is now an anomaly? For real, this is something I've talked about before. Spyro has a lot of tidbits of story and lore scattered around that honestly has potential, lots of potential. For Spyro 4, it seems that plot has to be also as important as gameplay, considering what you've gathered. And I really love this concept, and by the looks, it finally could add multiplayer.
My take on it is that Spyro's clutch was completely wiped out when the Sorceress banished the dragons. Shelia can remember a time when there were still dragons so it couldn't have been that long ago.
Also another thing to bring up, in Spyro 1, Gnasty Gnorc was implied not to be defeated thanks to that completion ending, meanwhile Spyro 2 opens up with Spyro mentioning he defeated the big green menace, so even if you were to open up Spyro 4 with a tag team, team up of Ripto and Gnasty Gnorc, you would still have to explain how both of them survived, I had an idea on how Gnasty got defeated, his staff broke and when decided to crystallize Spyro to hopefully finally defeating this problem of his, his magic auto destructs and the Gnorc is now Crystal, which throughout the og trilogy is his current status and the only way to free him is by strong magic like a Dragon's touch, or just Ripto brute forcing it with his magic. Either way this sounds like a great idea for how Spyro 4 can turn out, great job CGE man. 👍
I'll say, I LOVE this idea you came up with, hands down. But... I'll be brutally honest, unless you made it in cooperation with Activision, I highly doubt it's going to happen, sadly. T_T But... hey, a man can dream, and can hope to be wrong as well.
@@bobafett4265 Oh dear, it's not so easy: if the game is already in an advanced state of development, making last minute changes like redoing animations, dialogues and the like would be unfeasible. Again, though, I hope to be proven wrong.
I have an hypothesis: he's actually fireproof. Like, when you try flaming him during his boss battle, he just complains but takes no damage. You may wonder "OK, but what about the pre-boss Gulp cutscene?". In that case, I think that he was caught off-guard. In fact, he only complains that Spyro burnt his cape. But I'm just theorizing.
i always figured that the forgotten realms was another cintinent which is why they didn't know much: it'd also be cool if we got to see more types of dragons that would have changed to adapt to their different environments
Maybe Ripto came from wherever the female dragons live, and is also where all the eggs come from. I heard a theory one time that the Sorceress separated the male and female dragons when she banished them in hope that they wouldn't be able to make more dragons, but since the males still get eggs...who knows? It's also possible this is a children's game where story doesn't go to in depth so kids don't have to think too hard about the plot and can just enjoy gameplay. But I should would like answers too! 🤔
Would love a Spyro 4 so much. Sadly I don't think it will ever happen. They shelved the purple dragon to work on the orange marsupial. Only time we will probably see him is in guest appearances.
I actually do think Spyro is the only survivor of previous Year of the dragon, which is why every elder dragon knows him from his young age when he hatched. And he never ventured outside of the Artisan Realm before the events of 1st game (elders were probably overprotective for their only hatchling). It is revealed in YotD that the Sorceress needs 300 hatchling wings to complete the ritual that would grant her immortality. So maybe 12 years before the events of the game, she already tried once to steal the dragon eggs, but failed to get them all: Spyro's egg.
It delves outside the original trilogy, but the later Spyro games at least address the dragonflies. Apparently all young dragons partner to a butterfly. Spyro acknowledges the same for him and Sparks. And as far Spyro being the only one in his Year of the Dragon, later games added a couple more, so it could be said that he was just born in a year with almost no eggs. As far as Ripto goes, it's entirely likely he hates dragons because he was banished and if that was before Spyro's birth they wouldn't know each other.
Remember how the professor helped Spyro get home in Spyro 2, but how he also failed to get to the Dragon Worlds in Spyro 3, even though Hunter and Zoe got there?
Not connected to this but I just remembered one theory. Shortly theory is based on that TLoS is prequel to Reignited (original) and it has some pretty solid evidence. But Spyro 4 could include Cynder (and Malefor as new villain)
Let me repeat this again. 2024 is the Lunar year of the Dragon. The last number of that year is 4. *AM I TRULY THE ONLY ONE THAT THINKS ITS NOT A COINCIDENCE?!*
TAKE MY MONEY AND GIVE ME THIS AS A GAME... I love the concept a lot. I still just wish we'd get at least a 'yes, there will be a fourth game' at this point.
i can def see this as a good start, but how would ripto survive being thrown in lava lol? i think a brand new villian who has ties to the previous antagonists could spice things up; maybe even having a dragon that betrayed Spyro's clan and works under said new villian
I love this video! so interesting and gets me excited for what they could do for spyro 4! Also sorry I missed the premier. I did NOT wanna get out of bed this morning XD
Wasn't there once a storybook or comic that explained Spyro's egg was found in the hands of some egg thieves, that nobody knew where he came from. I'd love to see that implemented into a game.
That's a good foundation and adding onto it based on another Spyro 4 video I saw is that Gnasty and Ripto have developed different ways of crystalizing that require different flames to unlock sets of dragons (blue flame, red flame, green flame, purple flame, etc.). The flames will also give Spyro abilities within the game.
I could see Red being one of the dragons freed by Spyro. Red would say things that could seem like he is thanking Spyro but in a that hints at him being evil. He would get Gnasty to join him in the epilogue setting Red up as the next villain. With the game after that being about stopping Red but his second in command The Sorcerer acting mysteriously. The Sorcerer uses a staff with a red orb on that glows when he uses his magic, whenever he and Red are in the same cutscene the orb always glows. After Red is turned into Mecha Red there will be five orbs acting as weakpoints. The Sorcerer would escape as a sequel hook for the third game in the trilogy. Serving as the main villain. The Sorcerer would reveal his name as Malefor.
Anyone else notice that Ripto is brought into Avalar, *accidentally* no less, using the superportal. But to bring in a dragon they needed to go to what the Professor says is "a world that has an alignment much better suited to intercepting one of these creatures". If Ripto is from a realm with dragons, how come they couldn't bring Spyro in through the superportal? Could they bring Ripto from that realm specifically because he *wasn't* a dragon?
Activision/Microsoft, give this man a job immediately! I'd love for Spyro 4 to contain even a fraction of your ideas! I'd be overjoyed to see that video that you mentioned at the end.
I like your proposed idea, but you could also explain Ripto as being stuck in the loading screen for years (he may even spent years world-hopping) and only came to Avalar due to the portal opening while he was stuck.
With the creative liberties of the Reignited trilogy, the problem was even exacerbated somewhat: Avalar was always a realm far removed from the dragon realms for me. Ripto's behaviour and the behaviour of Elora, Hunter and co. suggest that although dragons are known there, at least in Avalar they are more like mythical figures and not at all a common occurrence. This is counteracted by Reignited, however, in that images of dragons can be seen in some places. However, Avalar was special and unique precisely because it was not a dragon kingdom. Spyro's appearance is more or less like first contact with aliens. Likewise, magic in Avalar is not tied to dragons, but to orbs and talismans, or it may be inherent in the world itself. You have made some important and interesting points, chapeau!
Awesome vid, great ideas. Spyro has always been looked at as an anomaly, so it'd be great to create some backstory for it. Only thing I'd add is one comment I saw in the thread: tie in the eggs we found from the thief in Spyro 1. and WHEN IS SPYRO 4 coming! MAN this is taking longer than expected haha
You know, my biggest hope for Spyro 4 is not only Spyro be given the ability to fly freely through the reams whenever he wanted and breath more then just a single elemental breath like in TLOS, I would to see more mythical creatures make their way into the Spyro franchise setting the stage for a new trilogy of games for years to come; some of those said creatures having an ancient millennia long friendship with the Dragons; Centaurs, Griffins, Hippogriffs, Phoenixes, Unicorns, Gnomes, Elves and Merfolk. There are so many countless possibilities to to make a good decent plot for Spyro 4, like creating a new mega baddie for Spyro to face or a reintroduction to one of two certain evil Dragons with a new backstory and plot to send the Dragon Realms into chaos, Spyro getting a new girlfriend which will give Elora a run for her money; a beautiful Centaur Princess as well as a roster of playable characters both old and new with new combat, upgrading and magical power mechanics.
Love this video and your idea! My thought for the levels is that they could each categorised under different worlds or regions or even different time periods, similar to Crash 4. Not too far off from the original trilogy, but I'd like some unique aspects that show that some areas are very different from the Dragon Realms. I'm CERTAIN that one of those sections should be related to Crash Bandicoot. There's dragons in Crash 3's Orient Express levels, in Crash Bash, in The Wrath of Cortex and in the Tranquility Falls levels in It's About Time. It would be amazing if one world had these specific Crash levels in them for the dragons to crossover and to link the franchises even more.
What a great video! Really loved it. Your final idea is pretty awesome. Still, I hope there will be a new villain in Spyro 4, and that there won't be Ripto again in a new game. That Spyro 3 portion of the epilogue was just a gag, and people keeps forgetting it. Ripto DIED. Buuut it seems very likely that Ripto will return in Spyro 4, I guess :/
When I was like 8-9, after playing all three Spyro games back in the 2000s, I remember asking my sisters: "Where are all the girl dragons?". They told me that, "All the mummy dragons raise the girls and the daddy dragons raise the boys." Even back then I found something a bit odd with that statement, it wasn't until I was 12 where I realised the VERY UNSETTLING problem with this explanation. Both just storywise and implication wise; I remember even thinking; "Spyro is in for a very rough and promiscuous adulthood."
Honestly, I'm open to any and all possibilities for Spyro 4's storyline. Whether it's on point with what you suggested, CGE, or something completely different, I'm here for it. Of course, we need confirmation of Spyro 4 first before we can really speculate. But until that happens, which I'm still 100% confident that it will sometime in the future, I say we just let our imaginations run wild. I'd love to see that Spyro 4 video too, CGE! Just listening to your theories and opinions is a lot of fun for me! Keep it up!
I personally think Ripto could be from the forgotten lands. Prior to Spyro going there and prior to the dragons being exiled. There’s even a skit from Mashed that suggests that Ripto could have been the sorcereress’s son which could be an interesting plot point if made canon. Which would further explain his hatred of dragons. Dragons being in the forgotten lands also suggests that dragons can be in many other realms as well. Just because they were in the forgotten lands doesn’t mean they weren’t already in the dragon realms originally. At least that’s just my thought process. Love the video! And can’t wait for more Spyro!
I miss when stories were fun and nonsensical like this tbh. A plumber in a random mushroom kingdom killing turtles to save a princess? SUUURE. That wouldn't work today.
We know from Hero's Tail in the original timeline there were a few nestmates of spyro's. They may just have been not the heroic types and cuddled in a corner together.
Your description of Ape Escape CGE explains a lot about my personal experience with Ape Escape on PS1 dude, especially when I was a teenager where I took Ape Escape on PS1 as seriously as the Persona series. 😳I'm not joking. It definitely explains a lot about me that's for sure😅😆.
colour me curious, id love to hear your take on how Spyro 4 and beyond could look! i liked your story at the end of the video so hearing more lore would be awesome!
Ripto may have left the Dragon Realms before Spyro was born. That would explain why neither recognized each other. Or it even could simply be that he left before the first game, and Spyro didn't recognize Ripto because he simply didn't have a reason to know. It could even be as simple as Ripto not being a big deal in the Dragon Realms, and that's why Ripto left. And I'm choosing to assume that Ripto is from the Dragon Realms. And it could be as simple as Ripto originally being from the Beast Makers or Magic Crafters areas while it seems that Spyro is from the Artisans area. Here's how I would fill the plot hole in a 4th game. Reveal that Ripto was banished from the Dragon Realms because he destroyed most of the dragon eggs from the festival. I would argue that Spyro isn't the only survivor though. I would also include Flame and Ember, as well as Cynder (yeah, that's right, this is how I would not only make Cynder canon to the original series, but also pay homage to what happened in The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. In that game, all but 2 dragon eggs were destroyed. Spyro and Cynder. Spyro because his egg was hidden away, and Cynder because her egg was stolen to be groomed into being the main villain of the first game (whether or not I'd do "evil Cynder" in my game, I don't know). In this case, as I've already pointed out, Flame and Ember also survive. But Spyro's egg may have specifically been hidden away, which is why we don't see any dragons his age until Spyro 5. Also, the group using a Super Portal to summon Ripto may not be because of distance. Ripto may have been summoned with a normal portal, and because of Hunter's foolishness, it just happened to be where Ripto is. But alternatively, I've already mentioned this, but Ripto may have left the Dragon Realms prior and has traveled far away. That could be why there may be a difference in distance. So even though that may be a plot hole, it's only in the sense that there's an unanswered question, not in the sense of a contradiction. I do however like your story idea. It could even potentially be a way of making a "Reignited Series" version of TLoS. Rather than remake those games, reboot them, or even just pay homage, in this way. The 4 Dragon Elders form TLoS could be the leaders of the Nomads. This could also be a way of bringing in Flame and Ember (I don't like them as much as I may seem, I'm just taking into account that they do presumably exist).
Sounds good to me. I really hope for Spyro 4, if it comes, be nothing like Enter the Dragonfly or A Hero tail. Maybe some details could work but Spyro 4 should expand Spyro universes from what has been established up to Spyro 3 and I think using those plot holes are perfect. I do confess I also overlooked them, so after watching your video my mind blew as I, too, never pay heed to those open details before. So yeah I think is a great way to expand the Spyro universes. Now the next thing the devs need to continue is gameplay mechanic. What new mechanics will work for Spyro 4. We all know that after Spyro 3 many tried different approaches that weren't well received. I think maybe Spyro can have an alternate fire attack like hurling fireballs. Great way to attack enemies with metal shield from behind. Of course full armor enemies won't work so you'll need another strategy. I think the secondary playable character mechanic also works and is what Insomniac believed was a great way to expand Spyro 3. So, with that, now is a good time to put Hunter in use with his bow as his means of defense. The other should be either Sgt Byrd or Agent 9. If only one can come well doesn't matter to me which but the important thing is having a long-range defender and they both can fill that role. So yeah those are the few things I can think of in order for the success of Spyro 4 is the story telling lore and gameplay mechanic.
That's cool. But if eggs are delivered every 12 years, that means there should be a batch of young dragons by Spyro 1 anyway... unless something happened to them.
I think the eggs in spyro 1 are just undeveloped eggs that when you collect them you return them to the fairies so they can finish incubating before the yotd celebration
2 big problems I had/have are 1: why didn't the big dragons help AT ALL!? And 2: Gnasty was underwhelming. None of the enemies (specifically gnasty gnorc) were hard. Gnasty was supposed to be this menacing bad guy (tho I guess back in that time they would've just made him artificially annoying to increase difficulty). His puzzle level wasn't even hard
Insomniac's older villains are scary, the scariest villain from insomniac is the original Chairman Drek from the og Ratchet and Clank, the dude polluted his own planet, dooming the whole blarg species, after he is destroying various planets, killing many inocent lives, like for exemple, Oltanis, Oltanis was a normal city like metropolis from planet Kerwan, but Drek bombard the whole planet and destroying everything that moves, another sisniter fact about Drek is that he is always one step above our heroes and he showns no remorse for doing these horrible things
I wouldn’t count on it In fact, I’d assume it isn’t going to happen and then be ecstatic if it gets announced I had that same attitude when I heard about Space Marine 2 Best feeling ever Holding out hope for a game that we have no solid proof of happening is pointless
Questions: 1. Is Ripto from the dragon worlds or is he from a different dragon world, will we ever see his homeworld? 2. If Aquifiers and Machinists homeworld weren't scrapped in the original spyro game, what enemies (besides gnorcs) and bosses would they have? (my speculation is gear grinders and water workers until they moved to spyro 2) 3. Similar to Crash Bandicoot N, Sane Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot 4: It's about time, could a fourth spyro game come after Spyro Reignited Trilogy with the possibilities of these questions above coming to life?
I love that Spyro 4 pitch! I think it'd be an awesome way to reboot Cynder's character. If Spyro 4 ever happens, I hope they do what they did with the Crash N Sane Trilogy and Crash 4 and let you play as Spyro and Cynder interchangeably.
Now I kind of hope that if this isn't Spyro 4 you work with someone to make this into a fan game. I'd love to play this and see Spyro interact with his nest mates (Cynder, Flame and Ember)
So Spyro happened to be chosen out of all the others?
@@Dante_Sparda_DMC mainly for being a purple dragon, which is a special type of dragon
@@PlebNCor simply, he had a passing encounter with a dragon that didn’t fair well for him.
TLOS
Love the energy you have for these classic franchises! Keep up the great content!
I actually thought about Malefor being the reason why Ripto hates dragons
I mean, if you look at Flame and Ember from A Hero's Tail, they probably either weren't heroic enough or too scared to do anything about Gnasty Gnorc at the time, fearing the same fate as the Adult Dragons. Maybe Spyro was the only Child Dragon who actually had enough courage to do anything?
tru but I think that would be too little of a reason for dragons his age to be unapparent
Huge yes for the video of what you have mapped for Spyro 4 that you've mentioned at the end please! would love to see it!
Let’s hope Spyro 4 will begin with the cliffhanger they included in the ending of Spyro 3
What cliffhanger?
@@tailsprower8118 well it can be seen when completing Spyro 3 fully and I can explain it, but it will give spoilers about what the ending of Spyro 3 will show so if you still want me to tell you then I’ll tell it, but if you don’t want me to tell you so you can discover the ending for yourself then that’s also okay as now you still have that option then 💜
There is no cliffhanger. Spyro 3 was a conclusion to the trilogy.
@@Terepin64 then you haven’t seen the true ending to Spyro 3
@@jeroenboth167 The "true" ending is literally just hatchlings burping. That's it.
I also believe Spyro is the only survivor of the previous year of the dragon. That would explain why he's known among elders
This would be such a sick story direction! I could COMPLETELY get behind this in a new game.
You skipped the part where The Sorceress says her intentions to become immortal.
i mean, 90's games are the perfect example that plot is useless to make good games which can stay forever in people's memory
> Sorceress goes on a glee trip about violence to the dragon babes
Bianca; Wait, won’t that kill them…?
Awesome story line for the 4th game bro!
Im pretty sure if the actual spyro 4 ever comes out, it wont be anywhere close to that.
and what makes you say that?
@@topazblaze175 By going into it with lowest expectations ofc.
They will make something completely different when someone comes up with an idea that's not part of the company and its always worse.
Oh and did I forget to mention its Activision?!
0:30 Dude, who does your animated intro, it's fantastic!
Woke up just in time for the purple boy! I'm one happy camper!
My take on it is that Spyro's clutch was completely wiped out when the Sorceress banished the dragons. Shelia can remember a time when there were still dragons so it couldn't have been that long ago.
Cinder in Spyro 4 will be hype 😍
Ahh, yes. The deep dive into Spyro lore and it is always so much fun to have thoughts I have always had, come to light.
You’ve got my attention. Hope your doing well Cge
What does Ripto's home Dimension look like, another mysterious plot gap I think.
4:05 it is possible that Ripto came from a whole difrint universes, in the first one spyro saved all the dragons His realm was linked to.
Dude exactly
Looking on your mustache and listening to some intriguing takes. Only one phrase shows up in my head - “LET HIM COOK”
I'll say, I LOVE this idea you came up with, hands down.
But... I'll be brutally honest, unless you made it in cooperation with Activision, I highly doubt it's going to happen, sadly. T_T
But... hey, a man can dream, and can hope to be wrong as well.
You never know, some Toys For Bob heads might've watched this very video and might contact CGE on this idea.
@@bobafett4265 Oh dear, it's not so easy: if the game is already in an advanced state of development, making last minute changes like redoing animations, dialogues and the like would be unfeasible.
Again, though, I hope to be proven wrong.
I think the story should also explain why Ripto came back to life considering he drowned in lava last time.
I’m liking this idea, but it feels like there’s MUCH MORE than we even know in this plot hole.
Hey thanks for well magic crafted video man, now I'm even more impatient for a Spyro 4!
Man, I would LOVE if Cinder came back in Spyro 4, I really hope they make it sooner rather than later.
i always figured that the forgotten realms was another cintinent which is why they didn't know much: it'd also be cool if we got to see more types of dragons that would have changed to adapt to their different environments
I'd LOVE to see that other spyro 4 video of yours!!!
Been waiting forever...
I wish that we get six homeworlds. Five are essential and unlock the first ending, and the sixth unlocks the secret ending
Um… isn’t that exactly what we got?…
Spyro 4 video? Yes please!!!
i can def see this as a good start, but how would ripto survive being thrown in lava lol? i think a brand new villian who has ties to the previous antagonists could spice things up; maybe even having a dragon that betrayed Spyro's clan and works under said new villian
Spyro is probably the first offspring to hatch, you can't get into the castle in Spyro 1, maybe that's where the eggs were kept
Please make that Spyro 4 Video With the plot events and collectibles CGE
So glad you included tht door in the home world tht didn't open. Tht always bothered me 😩
Definitely wanna hear your idea on spyro 4
That idea for Spyro 4 is great. It’d be nice if they did that
CGE I'm ready for it. Ready to see the plot hole.
They need to play this video in the spyro 4 development meeting if they haven't started making it already fr
lovely video, your spyro content is the best
"Rated E for everyone"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hope as much time we've been waiting for Spyro 4 that it'll be amazing.
Love your idea and presentation at the end for a possible fix and continuation
WOW! That sample idea... I LOVE that, this was a phenomenal video CGE!! 🙏🙌
You’re Spyro 4 idea would make a classic
Awesome video and CGE you made an awesome and amazing story just from an idea/Rough draft my dude I loved where you took the story.
Your idea for Spyro 4 sounds awesome!
I just assumed Ripto was from a different world (from the Dragon Realms) where Dragons lived.
I would love to see a video on your Spyro 4 idea. It sounds really close to what my personal idea for it would be.
To be fair, it’s unclear if the portals lead to actual different worlds, or just different parts of a single world.
Let's hope that Spyro 4 has some levels where you get to play as some of the Adult Dragons too, like Gavin, Argus or Lindar
They told me that, "All the mummy dragons raise the girls and the daddy dragons raise the boys."
Even back then I found something a bit odd with that statement, it wasn't until I was 12 where I realised the VERY UNSETTLING problem with this explanation. Both just storywise and implication wise; I remember even thinking; "Spyro is in for a very rough and promiscuous adulthood."
The intro is backkkkk
Aswell as Gnasty Gnorc and Ripto what other bosses could we have in Spyro 4?
Malefor is the first one that comes to mind
@@connorcole7781 nice how about Crush, Gulp and The Sorceress
@@Rilesjean Oh yeah... I nearly forgot there were also eggs i the first game...
2 big problems I had/have are
1: why didn't the big dragons help AT ALL!?
And 2: Gnasty was underwhelming. None of the enemies (specifically gnasty gnorc) were hard. Gnasty was supposed to be this menacing bad guy (tho I guess back in that time they would've just made him artificially annoying to increase difficulty). His puzzle level wasn't even hard
For the first question, I think some dragons did try to help but ended up crystallised again in gnasty's world
Insomniac's older villains are scary, the scariest villain from insomniac is the original Chairman Drek from the og Ratchet and Clank, the dude polluted his own planet, dooming the whole blarg species, after he is destroying various planets, killing many inocent lives, like for exemple, Oltanis, Oltanis was a normal city like metropolis from planet Kerwan, but Drek bombard the whole planet and destroying everything that moves, another sisniter fact about Drek is that he is always one step above our heroes and he showns no remorse for doing these horrible things
Where is Spyro 4 ? 😢 maybe annonced at gamescom ?
I wouldn’t count on it
In fact, I’d assume it isn’t going to happen and then be ecstatic if it gets announced
I had that same attitude when I heard about Space Marine 2
Best feeling ever
Holding out hope for a game that we have no solid proof of happening is pointless
Questions:
1. Is Ripto from the dragon worlds or is he from a different dragon world, will we ever see his homeworld?
2. If Aquifiers and Machinists homeworld weren't scrapped in the original spyro game, what enemies (besides gnorcs) and bosses would they have? (my speculation is gear grinders and water workers until they moved to spyro 2)
