This was a great chase! The Undefeated Charger though is on another level....

The Ice Man Comeith
He can drive !!!🎉
Wonder how long before Byrd unalives a minivan full of kids not involved in the chase over a speeding ticket? One of his ASP colleagues just wasted a civilian uninvolved motorcycle rider. Hopefully that reckless ASP driver will face charges.
As someone who raced road course for years, watching the lines he picks and his braking technique he either has a ton of natural talent or used to race.
Neither a lot of Troopers are like that a lot of normal people are like that doesn't mean they're trained not that hard to drive a car fast
@@optimusprimer4392It is for Richard Robinson. He drove slow when he first started driving 😂
@@Dev-In-Denver123 hell give me qualified immunity and I'll drive that son-of-a-gun 150 all day
From what I’ve read he raced go carts when he was younger, that might explain the lines and braking he uses. I’ve watched a lot of ASP videos and he and only a couple others drive like that.
@@JrGoonior Yeah, my father was a cop and a top driving instructor. He used to always talk about how bad most of the cops were at driving. I grew up racing shifter karts and dirt bikes, eventually moving onto road course racing. Pretty cool to spot someone else's techniques.
Plot twist the black charger is actually a off duty trooper pulling a super strooper stunt on all his friends
Nah he'd be driving a white miata.
Bootlickers have the highest amount of cope
Nope. Driving skills doesn't come with the job.
Nah, it's Michael Schumacher aka "The Stig" 😂😂
Who wants to go to Mexico
I noticed that his braking technique was pretty good (went as far as preloading the suspension at times) used good lines, and knew his cars limits pretty well. He’s def a car guy or has some performance training.
Preloading the suspension is the most badass part
Why are they allowing chase on 1 lane road
how do you preload the suspension? is it the same kind of preloading that google searches keep returning whwnever I try to look it up?
@@edbo10 preloading the suspension is essentially compressing the springs and tires to tighten the suspension which makes it more reactive to inputs, changing the suspension geometry will make the steering and braking more predictable.
@@shamyzero6349 so is he just braking before turns to shift weight around to compress the front springs?
The blackout (lights off) was used by bootleggers back in the prohibition days. Very effective but dangerous in urban areas with alot of traffic
Blackout is usually just the person making it so the rear lights don't work at all. One of my old cars had a fuse blow and the rear lights didn't work. It was very hard to see it over a few hundred feet in front of you at night (with the headlights on).
@@chrisSVT I think you are right. Had a guy I rode with a long time ago who had 2 switches on his sportbike one to turn off his tail lights and the other for headlights (for wheelies) .... never got caught in Arkansas.
On a side note, good to see another svt fan. Had a 2000 black lightning back in the day (2005-2007). Only vehicle I regret selling. Terminator will be my garage queen sooner than later.
FACTS that tactic has been around for years long before this guy was doin it an these folks seen it on YT. I bet u an older person like his grandfather or older uncle taught him that…
My grandfather ran after a 2lane dragrace and only lost the guy in his Belair by killing his headlights and letting his car spin out into a field without touching his brakes
JESUS CHRIST NIGHT VISION GOGGLES
The undefeated chargers advantage is the ability to turn off all lights (including brake lights). Which is why he only plays the game in the dark.
Fr it's a scary game tho
Its a kill switch it only shuts off the tail lights it still had head lights.... Its an old racers trick from the 80's & 90's
They clearly still have their brake lights working. None of those tricks matter once an air unit spots them. FLIR and an unprecedented line of sight is a hard thing to escape. This individual has been lucky….and that’s if it’s the same person. Dodge builds countless black Chargers. Many of which are sold in Arkansas. ASP nabs black Chargers all the time. One minute it’s an undefeated Charger….then it’s a Challenger. Then it’s a Charger again….and blah blah blah. People love a good story.
@@DucknCoverinYou aint much smart, is ya bud?
Aftermarket lights on older cars have a tendency to do that. With my experience of late 90s GM and Mitsubishi cars it came as a happy accident. My first (bright red) Sunfire was a huge target with local PD and one time I actually gunned it with a turn, all lights off, and down the unlit back roads back to my parents' house. Paranoid? The 14 times I was in traffic court suggests not. I guess back then (17 years ago) it was illegal for people to pull out of a Walmart and go the speed limit or the LEOs had bugs up their asses.
My current summer car ('99 Eclipse) is similar after all the resto-modding I did. No markings + dead lights hardwired to battery and toggle switches. Matte Black Cherry so it's not bright or too dark. Little on the loud side but no one's pulled me in over a decade. Strange how that turns out.
Have to give Byrd his props. He's caught 5.7's, 392's even Cats! The "Undefeated Charger" is just on a whole nother level! 😭😂
He has an entire police force helping him lol all he has to do is play bumper cars he is sooooo legendary
Obviously race modified.... also the ASP will needAir Support with night vision to catch this guy....
Hopefully before he (or she) kills someone since they are traveling at extreme speed, at night, without lights. Someone can easily pull out of a side street thinking the road is clear!
@@timengineman2nd714 I agree but the "Undefeated Charger" is very skilled. That's how he's gotten away all these years. You're right tho everytime you decide to run you're rolling the dice no matter how skilled you are. 🤷♂️
@@ericeanes5521 I agree that's why I'm considering the R/T. It's more than enough power especially for an entry-level performance car and you can always mod it for extra ponies. 🐎
No you were incorrect it’s a bunch of people think they can out run him when they don’t have the skills like the black out days. He’s no better than any other trooper he’s just lucky
This guy has definitely raced cars, but he’s probably got spotters and does a good bit of intel on who’s working and the cars they drive and routes etc. Nobody is this good/lucky without preparation.

I’ve seen a lot of really good comments about this, everything from a road racer to horsepower and such. I think there’s a real possibility that no one has talked about. I think this guy’s a cop. No joke, think about it. The level of talent this driver exhibits definitely speaks of formal training, whether racing or EVOC(cop). The fact that he “always” goes in the correct direction, there’s NEVER a secondary unit involved, and he’s always one step ahead of the pursuit tells me he’s definitely got a scanner in his car as well. The plate never comes back with a hit tells me he has access to multiple plates(impound yard.) I think it’s a cop and someday they’ll make a movie out of this.

@@swappedoutZ71Lolol yup exactly what i thought
I seen a comment on another video with Byrd in it and they said he did race and still does when off duty or he used to race. That explains the ability to drive the way he does, the control of the vehicle he has and the control of emotion and breathing during a chase.
Well He might race but he just got completely smoked by a car with no headlights on a very twisty road! Dude got burnt 10 sec's into the chase! The charger was at another level of arrogance and skill over Byrd!!!
Obviously not enough skill 😂😂😭😭😭

he keeps jerking at the end of the turn or making sharp corners, doesn’t race much
@@Duzzer_One Plenty of skill, but he doesn't get to drive like a maniac blowing through red lights and intersections hoping he doesn't mow down some pedestrian.
The charger driver is obviously an excellent driver, his car is faster than ASP's cars but the thing I find the most impressive is his ability to get enough distance on the police to use the terrain to his advantage. Every time he see's to police he knows they're going to light him up and he goes for it before they've decided they'll try to pull him over. Then he goes over a hill and is just gone.. like he has a real Portal Gun .. like from Portal.
Yea, he seemed to light him up way too early, should’ve got closer first, the charger had a big head start. And the charger can just hammer down and fly past other roads and 4 way stop signs while the cops have to hesitate at each one, not only to look for traffic but try to look and figure out which way he went.

When i was 18, i worked in the local auto machine shop, we did all the high performance engine builds, dirt track cars, drag strip cars, and hot rods. If you didn't have a Southern Auto engine, you could not run with people who did. I saved my money up and bought a 1966 Ford Fairlane GTA, 390 4 speed, Detroit locker rear differential with 4:10 gears, all factory set up. I pulled the engine, spent roughly $6000 on speed parts, did what would have cost $4000 worth of machine work to it, and changed the gear ratio to 4:56. What i ended up with was a car that put 560 HP to the rear tires, and would run in the 10:40 second bracket in the quarter mile at Bristols Thunder Valley Dragway. At 18 years old! To get down to the brass tacks of the story, i was drag racing a big block Chevelle on US 11E passed a Deputy Sheriffs car going the other direction, he quicky turned around and gave chase. I ran from them for 2 1/2 hours before getting away because i would out run them, and in my attempt to get home and hide my car in the garage, i kept coming upon various cop cars and eould have to take off again. I did finally get it home that night, bit i didn't fully get away with it because they came and arrested me at work the following Monday. What i didnt know until after they arrested me was a rookie cop crashed during the pursuit and was hurt pretty badly. Funny thing, they get really pissed off for that, so i was in a HUGE amount of trouble. In the end, i had to join the military and even 4 years later the local law enforcement would pull me over and harass the hell out of me everytime i drove the car after i got out of the Marine Corps. BUT, EVERYTIME THEY WOULD PULL ME OVER, I COULDNT RESIST TELLING THEM, YOU KNOW, IF I DECIDED TO RUN YOU COULD NOT CATCH ME! FUNNY THING THERE TOO, THAT PISSES THEM OFF TWICE AS BAD!

@@jones9309 wow, great police drivers in Arkansas. The Police Drivers in England could learn many things from them.
My dad told me this urban legend about this “blackout 67 Camaro” here in Asheville back in the 70s who would do exactly this same thing, except he would also street race other guys like my dad and his friends, but would never show his face, nor would he set his own races up. It was always this tall lanky guy with no teeth and always covered in grease and oil, who would set up the races and do the negotiating. The blackout Camaro became such an inflated legend that a lot of people were saying he was the devil, a cop, a fed, someone’s daddy etc…. But the only thing that gave me the wow factor was there was something very unique about the car. Something rare. Like COPO status. That wasn’t replicated anywhere else, and the car just went missing. The. The rumors began to fly about that. He was caught, he crashed into the French broad river and still resides in his watery grave, the cars buried etc… this gave me the same vibe as the Camaro. Some people even said that it was a ghost and his mechanic who died in a fire at the A&H drag strip. Idk what the truth is, it’s just kinda cool that there some “folk lore/urban legend” folks still out here that’s willing to push the envelope. It’s modern day bandit and duke boy stuff honestly

Chasing vehicles always show their location every time the brakes are applied. However, to my personal knowledge, if you remove the flasher fuse and apply the flasher function on a MOPAR vehicle, the brake lights will not illuminate. I used this function when I worked the Graveyard Shift in the 70's and 80's to sneak up on perps.
I used to install a switch that I could turn the brake lights off in a split second and still make turns without cops knowing. I never was arrested for running.
@@HappyHarryHardonI have a car with a switch that cuts off the tails while leaving the headlights operational. I can also run just the fogs w/ no headlights to keep the illumination low to the ground. You can see where you're going without the headlights giving you away from a distance.

Reminds me of a story told me that happened before I started driving which was 1970, there was a state trooper here in Texas that lived out of Goliad county Texas and every time he got a new patrol car, it went into his garage for about two weeks and when it came out, there were two hood, locking pins on it and nobody touched it Except him.
That blackout charger is something else. But, nobody can run forever.
Pretty sure if he keeps the same tactics it will be nearly impossible to catch. They basically have to catch him in a weaker car within seconds it's not likely to happen.
What I like is how calm he is while chasing people.
That was probably the calmest I've seen Jacob Byrd drive. Usually through traffic and all Jacob stays with them for the most part. They need to put him in a SRT demon.

I believe I know which part of the video (at 3:04 his headlights can be seen turning left into a curve and at 3:26 his headlights can be seen turning right into another curve) you are referring to when you say he turned into an apartment complex but if you watch that part of the video over again you can see that at the point he turns on the road is actually a curve in the road. Just as the trooper reaches that spot he turns sharply to the left in a curve and then right on the next visible headlights turn.I believe the Blackout Charger makes his ultimate getaway move a little later in the video. It would be awesome if they made a dash cam with a zoom option that could be initiated by just one push of a button. It would definitely come in handy when the gap in a chase is increased. Extremely good night vision would also help as well.

My motor was dead cold. (Thank god or I might have been screwed). Turns out 2 guys in a red 3rd gen that looked "Just like yours" came up to this neck of the woods for some reason and decided to run when they got lit up
Cops assumed it was my car because it's the only one here. They never did get the guy because they quit chasing him to intercept him at my f**kin house at almost midnight.
They obviously didn't see the license plate. Therefore , even if your car was hot , they couldn't prove it was you! They're supposed to keep a visual on the vehicle at all times! Your scenario explains this exact situation.

Although there talent did not include driving at speed they did have quick cars but I do know three state cars that did not see the new model year. The penalty for losing was a revoked license. Then the game is a little more intense. To reiterate…it was a rush.
We Africans and we love Byrd cause we never goes overboard always professional
Theres no way somebody driving a charger like that lives in an apartment complex.
The black charger guy is a legend. He is like Jason you will never know who he really is.
the charger is the hero we need in these tough times
I feel like we're in bizzaro world - but yah these are very entertaining!
ya he is like robin hood
An They’ve Always Said You Can’t Beat The Radio🤣🤣🤣
Alot of the times you can't but he does it at night blacked out with a fake license and the helicopter can't get there fast enough. When you got 30 seconds it's kind of impossible to get something there fast enough.
If he had thermal he could easily see hot ass tire tracks
Him taking out that TTV8 Audi S7 in the beginning is so much more impressive than him catching a 392🤣
SMOKED!
Not much is going to Keep up esp. once that Charger blacks out!
Black Charger is a state trooper or sheriff trolling the local PD 😂😂😂
Hey man , Been a long Hot min since I’ve been on your channel. I see your still at it. But did I hear you say you moved down here to FL ?
Yes I did, last year. So far it's been a mixed bag but I'm loving the weather
This guy definitely knows the area and he can definitely drive. The end of the video was pretty intense. I thought I was with Captain Kirk on the starship enterprise at warp speed.😂
5:01 the moment he crests the hill top you can see the charger a quarter mile ahead of him at the next hill crest turning off his head lights and tapping the breaks before flooring it back into the darkness. Idk if thats why you show the replay where he announces that he lost him in the apartments but that's also the moment where you can last see the suspect vehicle. he 'lost visual' while still having the vehicle in sight... He just missed it and I don't blame him. He wasn't going to catch that car out there without the driver crashing or if they had a helicopter they would of had a better chance
Officer Byrd must have been taught by someone. Maybe Jeff Gorden. He is professional, courteous, and leaves little damage when he pits someone. I like it when he tells some one who is yelling at him, shut up get back in your car.Keep up the good work.👮♂
It's not the car it's how a driver drives !! Always on how to stay in control and know when to give up
Jacob Byrd is the Larry Bird of Traffic Enforcement. 👍
This is so interesting. It’s good to see officer Byrd final getting the recognition he deserves. Go back to the garage and do some mods 😅
This guy with this charger is an absolute 007 type shit legend. His driving skills is beyond comprehension. He seems to slow down perfectly to fly through corners like he knows them inch by inch. GOD TYPE
He's a tard...
Switching off brakelites is an old poachers/bootleggers trick.
Would't be surprised if he put a 5.2L V12 from an Aston in his charger
He is a Apex Predators!!! My god. The boy has not quit!!!
The video at 2:37 I cannot anywhere anymore, what happened to the video? The one where byrd chases the undefeated charger and it gets away? It literally disappeared...
Does someone have a copy of the video? I really like watching that one, textbook example of clean quick driving...
Thats the full video released to the public. I don't think anyone would a video with any additional recorded footage from the chase.
I know what you mean. I meant what happened to the original video that was posted by Little Rock Hood News (LRHN), the same one you have in the video? I can't find that specific video anymore, anywhere. It's the best one.@@RTLife
Jacob just has a really good layout of the area and the road conditions he’s about to go through so he pushes the corners at the right moment, a speedracer for justice
Blackout charger has better layout
He has lost alot more than he has won. That makes him a loser.
@@lamarw7757 ain’t saying he gets them all just saying he’s really good at driving aggressive and going fast, which is a skill. They can’t catch them all but being competent really increases the chances you know.
I knew he was going to get away. Speed Skill & Balls!
"Most feared Trooper" 😂 by who? Lames and slow wimps?
2:44 the gap that thing pulls right from the start is INSANE
