My favorite moment has to be the explanation of how many slaps it would require to thoroughly cook a chicken breast. If anyone remembers which episode that was, I'd like to re-watch it again!
I grew up watching my dad drink bourbon. It was always interesting to me as a kid being something i couldnt have, but we would talk about it. Years ago before i was 21i came across this channel and i dove in head first and learned all i could, and it brought back those light moments with my dad in my childhood, which was mostly a dark depression. I still talk to my dad about whisky and we share bottles. I dont have a favorite moment from the show in that room because all of them were wonderful. Thank you whiskey vault and thanks chad for putting it together
My most cherished memory will always be when the Modern Rogue introduced me to your channel, this community, and when I was of age, guided me on to a path of exploration and a collection of over 20 whisk(e)ys. I will always be a MB but also because IM A MODERN ROOOOOGGGUUUUEE
My favorite memory is the day I found your channel. "Oh wow, these guys are crushing it. See, look you totally can make it on RUclips in spirits!".......when you had a little over 5k subs hahaha
I would have to say my favorite memory of that room is my finding of whiskey and enjoying it with my son. Thank you guys for all the memories. Look forward to the new room.
My favorite memory is the episode where Rex noticed his old man jog and Daniel got the scooter notification about his Oxygen tank holder. The laughter you both had is so genuine and infectious, I re-watch that episode whenever I need cheered up. Probably a runner up would be you reviewing my donation, and reviewing the first thing I ever had neat.

Chad Cheers you truly Magnificent Bastard! My favourite vault 1. memory is when Rex said “I promised myself I wouldn’t get *corked*” and then it hard cuts to chad swinging in his editing chair then he just says straight faced “Fine” that made me laugh so hard and I think about it alot when I need a laugh!
I remember that, I thought it was hilarious!! Do happen to remember what episode it happened in? If not that's cool I could really use a good laugh though.
Sparkle master Chad!!!!!! I will miss your beard sparkles and trash pandaness. I started watching during the absolute and hilarious TRAIN WRECK that was Chad week, loved it, and have stuck around since. Blessings on your new adventures and a glass raised to you. Thanks for all the great memories these last couple of years.
The "Poor Man's Blend" episodes and particularly Rex's fury as Daniel successfully made almost all the blends. The Longmorn 16 PMB episode was particularly amusing. Thank you Chad for all your work on the Whiskey Vault! 🥃
My favorite memory is finding this channel through the episode of how to order whiskey and a brief overview with the Modern Rogue. I'd never known much about whiskey but have learned so much about it with y'all and love sharing it with other people that I meet (especially being 22 almost 23, my peers often don't know much about drinking outside of binging, much less specific knowledge about whiskey). The flavors and craftsmanship of whiskey always amazes me and I have the two of you to thank for that. Here's to fighting, stealing, and drinking responsibly. :)
My most memorable moment is when you introduced me to peated whisky. You mentioned Highland Park 12, so I tried it. Then you said if you like this then try Laphroaig. History was made and I discovered the love of my life. Thanks you for all the memories this room has provided. I have spent endless hours watching your videos and gaining whisky knowledge and am now a better man,. Except for my liver.
Best Vault MemoryWhen you gave me a Magnificent Bastarding despite the fact I have not only never sent in a Whisky, neither myself, nor anything I have even touched has ever been in Austin.
My best memories of that room actually happened with me in that room! Touring the Vault on my first visit to The Wizard Academy is still a vivid memory and a cherished experience that will last with me forever. That being said, I've been in the new vault as well and its 250% bigger and better. Sorry, Not Sorry for all us MBs showing up and changing your time line. Cheers you two!
From the first time, when I found the Vault, until now, every episode has been something to thoroughly enjoy. Here's to all the good times we've all had and to the many good times to come. Chad, you magnificent bastard, your work was great and you will be missed. Good luck in all your future endeavors.
Rex And Dan! Favorite memory from the soon-to-be old Vault: When Daniel compared Benromach 10 to Talisker 10 as I've had that very same thought when sipping each! Well done sir, well done.
2 favorite moments. 1. When I found this channel in searching for Lagavulin 16. Almost 3 years ago. 2. When Daniel casualy kicked the door, cause his kids was noisy. Real Viking love from Denmark!
My favorite memory of the vault isn’t a single instance, but rather the tradition of watching your show each morning with my son in my lap and a cup of coffee at my side. You guys have brought a lot of laughter to our household over the past couple years. Thanks for that. Cheers! Ps - when’s the next Rex week?!
The laughs, the stories, the weird things Rex comes up with, the way Daniel explains himself, and the way you guys portray yourself to the community ND the youtube viewers new and young is genuine and keeps me excited to try new whisk(e)ys! So excited!
I really enjoy your show and am learning so much about whiskey/whisky and even to the point of enjoying the craft of distillery. Thanks for opening my eyes to so much more!!
What got me hooked was the top most liked whiskey episode I saw awhile back. Gonna miss watching y'all in that room but also can't wait to see what lies in store. Stay safe and always have fun.
Cheers to Chad on his new adventures. My favorite was the look on Rex's face during the episode where he requested the most expensive bottle in the vault and he chose wrong LOL.
Favorite memory was two years ago during the Summer when I discovered yall's channel and went on a watching binge. Drank a lot of whiskey and decided to request Jack Daniels Single Barrel and low and behold yall did it. I was amazed and felt cool to be a part of the community. Its been great watching yall grow the past few years. Cheers!
There are too many to count. I really appreciate the work you and your team have put into this. It's brought me a lot of joy, and I can clearly see many others. Cheers to you both!
I loved being there for the opening and also being the youngest person AT the event by themselves. Awesome to see the vault in person with no walking room at all due to bottles. Farewell Chad. It was great to have you here for the journey and I hope you ho on amazing adventures in the coming years.
I just recently subscribed to your channel not even a month ago. This has quickly became my favorite RUclips channel ever. You both are great, both are relatable and both are funny as fuck. I’m so glad this whole thing blew up bigger than you both would have imagined. Cheers to a few more years of awesomeness
Chad, congrats and good luck. Favorite memory was just finding you guys in the first place(and the Highland Park conspiracy). I've been going down the rabbit hole of whisk(e)y since then. Cheers!
My favourite had to be my first watch where I stumbled across you guys and you introduced me to Monkey Shoulder fantastic dram and I haven't looked back. Cheers
My favourite memory is your review for beginners which made enthusiastic on trying Buffalo Trace and since then felt in love with Whisky and now I am proud of my collection and learning a lot from you guys
Having watched sporadically, I imagined that the Whiskey Vault is actually a room at the top of a tower overlooking Texas Hill Country and no door you enter just stairs coming up to the floor! So when your sea legs are engaged you just gotta stay put until your balance is restored!
One of the most memorable lines is Rex pushing the bell on his phone and yelling, "Service me Som!" Rex week was hilarious and probably my favorite time in the vault. Or possibly the Mooch origin episode where he gets the mooch necklace.
The beard sparkles shall be missed! It's not really a favorite memory of this room, but I remember back in the day, I'd write pity comments, because there were so few comments on your videos. But really, I've learned so much, and have been given "permission" by you guys to not hold anything in whiskey up as sacred, so I've been blending and experimenting, and have experienced a lot. Not too mention friends that I've met through YT and FB! Man, this feels like a goodbye *tears up a little* Well, I guess it was a goodbye to Chad lol. I can't wait to see videos in the new Vault! Keep up the fantastic work!
My favorite moment is still undeniably the first attack of the Mooch "How to Mooch the $7000 whiskey". It's the first episode I saw on the channel and believe it or not I came back! I have re-watched it many times and it still cracks me up.
Lads, I've asked for many months if you've ever tried any SMWS bottles, and I managed to miss the video where you did! One of my most cherished memories is visiting their whisky vault in Leith with my college adviser. Thanks for checking them out, it's truly something special. Sorry to have missed so much the last few months, cheers to a new Vault and to many more whiskies.
Cheers! To Chad the magnificent bastard who did so much of the behind the scenes stuff that made this channel my personal favorite. I lift my glass of WT 101 to all your future endeavors!
Here's to Sparkle Master Chad. May your future be filled with success in life for all the fine work and memories you brought to the Tribe. May you uphold the honor of the Trash Panda where ever you go. You're truly a Magnificent Bastard. Cheers 🥃
My favorite memory of the vault was last years opening of the distillery. You offered Sara, from its bourbon night, a taste of 20yr John E Fitzgerald. I have a bottle that I’ve been waiting to open, so was nice to see her reaction. Cheers! 🥂
Most cherished memory of Vault 1.0? Easy. Visiting the distillery last February for the first (but not last) time, on a Friday, and an MB convinced Daniel to give the 8 or so of us there a tour of the tower and vault. It was there that Daniel introduced me (as a non-Islay lover at the time) to Bunnahabhain 12 (and got me hooked on it, I still keep a bottle in my bar). It was an awesome experience my wife and I will never forget and we had the time of our lives. Daniel made us promise to bring a bottle back the next time we visited so we brought 2 with us to the BB in October and will probably bring more each time we visit from SC (which should now be at least an annual pilgrimage if not more often). We also got to meet Rex (meh - LOL JUST KIDDING REX) and "The Shwood" (or should we now call him Magnificent Fox?) and we made some great friends with several MBs that night. It was our first time in TX and we fell in love with Austin and the surrounding areas. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't let us tour WV 1.0 again at the BB, but grateful that we had already been given the chance that I'll always have the memory of mooching a dram from Daniel in the original vault. :-) Plus we got to see the new WV 2.0 as well. Thank you guys for all the years of entertainment and being so generous with your time when we visit the distillery.
I just found this channel a month ago, still catching up on the "back catalog". Best to you in your new room, while I spend several hundred hours in this one--back in time!
I've had a fairly limited exposure to whiskey over the years. Primarily the varieties of Crown Royal, Evan Williams and some Jim Beam. My Scotch experience has just been Johnny Walker. Through watching your review videos I've gained quite the curiosity for broadening and developing my taste for other varieties of whiskey. I've recently tried my first rye being the Bulleit 95 rye, my first Irish being Jameson, and a different Bourbon being Wild Turkey. I'm rather enjoying them all. So I'd like to thank the both of you for educating and providing your honest opinions and reviews, and I look forward to trying more whiskeys. In addition to all that I greatly appreciate the shenanigans and bits of comedic moments. They help me maintain my sanity in the stresses of my job. I'm loving the music choices y'all use for the intros/outros of the videos too !
Cheers Chad and thank you! My favorite episode memory is the compass box phenomenology episode, when y’all broke out in the extra long mahna moment. That made y’all fully my pweeble.
My favorite moment was when Daniel and Rex rattled off a serious of expletives (I think when a bag of objects was sent in) and for every bleep Chad would just cutaway and say "no". Cheers Chad.
Favorite memory is during the tasting if Highland Park Viking Honour where Rez repeatedly mentions the smell of a match but Daniel is on a tangent. Then Daniel gets excited over realizing it smells like a freshly blown out match. Rex just looks over and says, "I'm the sommelier."
Favorite would be one of my first when Daniel was gifted the holiday onesie that was oh sooooo wee sized for him. Cheer to the years of community success and Chad always being a solid member....
I love the first time you guys did the current toast. It was obvious in your expressions that you both liked it and that it was the one that was going to stick.
Thanks Chad! and best of luck in your future endeavors. Favorite moments in the Vault were not in the vault itself... its the 7 to 15 minutes during my day where i get to stop thinking about the mindfuck that is my job. but that will continue in the new location lol.
My favorite moment was the the "Hey Siri" episode that eventually culminated into "Hey Siri who played Ryan Reynolds ... No!" But my all time memory was the creation of the hand fabricated subscribe sign.
My favorite 1st vault memory is very very recent. On October 25, 2019, another rare whisk(e)y Friday, something wonderful happened. The 4th whiskey, an interesting and hilarious review from San Diego Distillery. Both Rex and Daniels faces when PEATED hits their tongues is nothing short of priceless.
Favorite memory? My mom visiting with me the very first time in 2/2019 and a group of us were able to convince Daniel to take us up to the vault. My mom, the non-whiskey drinker, was fascinated with all the tower had to view. I was overwhelmed and Daniel had to pick a bottle for me to sample. Glorious day and memories with my mom. Whiskey and memories are what make the whiskey adventure all worth it! 🥃Renita
I really enjoyed the old "poor man's" blends, and the blendaggedon livestream!
The moment that pops up in my head was when Rex had Daniel mix super expensive whiskeys and than asked for ice and diet coke...
"Another, Daniel"
Yes that was amazing!
i agree it made me laugh so bad!!
Truly the height of moochiness.
Which episode?
My favorite moment has to be the explanation of how many slaps it would require to thoroughly cook a chicken breast. If anyone remembers which episode that was, I'd like to re-watch it again!
Bowmore 15 episode
Gold
Cant find it!
It’s was: Whiskey Review: Bowmore 18-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch
Favorite moments in the Vault. Young Rex in his where's Waldo shirt!!!!
I grew up watching my dad drink bourbon. It was always interesting to me as a kid being something i couldnt have, but we would talk about it. Favorite memory has got to be the cardboard “subscribe” sign masking taped to the back door. LOL.
My fav is the beginning of ep 166... Rex and Daniels intro trying to hold it together. What hooked me into the tribe. Brilliant stuff!
For my favorite memory I only have 4 words. Daniel’s personal mobility scooter. Unsure that I have ever laughed that hard before.
My favorite memory is the day I found your channel.
"Oh wow, these guys are crushing it. See, look you totally can make it on RUclips in spirits!".......when you had a little over 5k subs hahaha
My favorite moment would have to be finding out Daniel’s safe word “Margret Thatcher”
The Spirit Monk[e]y's most treasured memory of this vault would have to be when the hobbit girded himself in Fireball pajamas.

My favorite memory has to be Rex dancing to The Cranberries during Rexweek
I watch that probably 40 times and laughed harder each time 😂
Thank you Chad!!!! May the path you walk lead you to endless glory!!!!!!

When you see a rex thumbnail like that....
I can only imagine whats in store.
Now on to the video.
For Chad, the one true professional on this side show.
Favorite Vault memory - when the battle of the vault went down - an epic battle for the ages!
Chad, congrats and good luck. Favorite memory was just finding you guys in the first place(and the Highland Park conspiracy). I've been going down the rabbit hole of whisk(e)y since then. Cheers!

I’ve liked every episode I’ve seen but the best is the way you guys close the video! I especially love rare whiskey Fridays 🥃🤘🇺🇸
Every episode I watch is my favorite lol.
Favorite moment hands down has to be Rex doing his interpretation of Fight Club!
Having watched sporadically, I imagined that the Whiskey Vault is actually a room at the top of a tower overlooking Texas Hill Country and no door you enter just stairs coming up to the floor! So when your sea legs are engaged you just gotta stay put until your balance is restored!
Favorite memory is visiting the vault with some of my favorite people, oh and Emma was there. She's cool too. 😉
I'll always look back fondly at the episodes with Brian Brushwood. If not for those, I may never have found this magnificent channel.
Hands down the Halloween episode where you guys dressed up as each other. The impressions were top notch!
One of the most memorable lines is Rex pushing the bell on his phone and yelling, "Service me Som!" Rex week was hilarious and probably my favorite time in the vault. Or possibly the Mooch origin episode where he gets the mooch necklace.
Amazing room. I'm gonna miss this room.
My favorite show from that set is, "Top Ten Whiskeys for Beginners". The joy you guys showed from your first million view video. Cheers!

Well, I guess it was a goodbye to Chad lol.
Rex Week are the best. Love the shenanigans.

My favorite episode is still the Halloween one where you changed roles. Haha. Funniest shit I've seen. Spot on acting.
Cheers, thank you guys.
Rex: "I try. Trying. Trying... Talking to prolong the agony... Just giving myself more work. Very trying."
Thanks Chad! You will be missed.
It was a great RUN in the Vault! See you soon in the Vault 2.0 ;) You have no bad episodes - every episode has a learning part and worth seeing!

Favorite vault memory was at the launch event watching the Soms pour once in a lifetime drams for folks, they looked quite happy.
My favorite memory of the vault was last years opening of the distillery. You offered Sara, from its bourbon night, a taste of 20yr John E Fitzgerald. I have a bottle that I’ve been waiting to open, so was nice to see her reaction. Cheers! 🥂

The octomore 6.3 episode is still my favorite. Helped me find my favorite distillery and blew my mind at what whisky is capable of.
Thank you, dear whiskey vault for putting a smile on my face after finding out my grandmother passed today
Both Rex and Daniels faces when PEATED hits their tongues is nothing short of priceless.
being depressed at 3am and finding a channel i could get drunk with.
🥃Renita
