Was finally able to watch this one! Those look like a couple of great casks, man! I've just renewed recently for my 3rd year with the SMWS, and am a very happy member. The quality and uniqueness of the whiskies you can get through them absolutely justifies the cost of membership for me. Highly recommend to anyone.
Also nice review and I’ve been curious about this. Still need to learn more about malts and scotch’s in general. Seems like the best of the bunch for what they offer
I was a member for several years, they have some great cask strength whiskies. It is especially nice to get your hands on your favorite scotch at cask strength.
Man does this ever sound like an incredible club. Maybe not Scotch for me but man some other great spirits I'd love to get my hands on. Cheers brother and great video as always. Cheers!
Maybe cuz I have a basic knowledge of scotch, I honestly had no idea that Dalmore added coloring to their whisky. I friggin love their whisky so I'm not gonna stop drinking it lol but it's good to know. Awesome vid as always
I've been on the fence about them for a while. Really should pull the trigger. I would like to see more Irish stuff come out, especially now that there are so many new Irish distilleries that now have good stuff available.
Been on the fence for about 2 yrs... membership plus bottle costs and figuring out how to get it shipped to a place I can access (stupid US shipping laws)....
I was a member thinking it would help with me liking scotch but I came to realize I'm not a scotch guy at all. They did do a bourbon which I bought but heavily assuming its dickel which will be extremely disappointing
too bad they and all other groups or places don't ship to Hawaii. It would be nice to try this kind of stuff and get stuff we can not find on the islands.
@@TheMashandDrum also, now I have to try and find a bottle of this. I curse you sir!!! But not really, love the channel. Keeps me buying what looks cool and opens my world up to better alternatives!!
Curious on the shade thrown at MacCallan? They don’t even sell it in Ohio. MacCallan 12 was/is my first go to for scotch. Have to pick some up every time i go home to Michigan
I think it's a great scotch but their prices have gone up exponentially. You can find cask strength single cask offerings with SMWS that are cheaper or exceed what macallan offers.
@@TheMashandDrum Interesting point. I looked at that group. Seems interesting. Have you ever been disappointed by an offering? Some of the descriptors are odd.
@@cameronbatko the descriptions are very odd and they do it on purpose. I will say anything I've ever bought from a distillery I know Ive loved has been awesome. The wild cards are the old or closed Distilleries where they are curating casks. Search SMWS bottle codes online and you can find a full list which will show you the what codes go to what Distilleries.
As I like to buy a fourth or fifth bottle of the same thing, the SMWS is nothing for me. But I like their concept of describing the bottles and naming them. Some are hilarious. PS: Instantly upvoted the moment you roasted Dalmore. If you put on airs you shouldn't be putting coloring into your whisky. Enough said.
I have been a member for several years . Great offerings. I totally recommend joining of you enjoy unique cask strength spirits.
What’s the price on shipping to the US?
@@steveno7058 the SMWS has an American chapter and it ships from US. Check out their website for shipping prices.

Loved the Dalmore call-out 😂 had two bottles of Port Wood from them that were totally corked last year.. ugh.

If you like their whisky why would you stop just because of coloring?
@@SteelheadTed That’s why I said I wasn’t gonna stop drinking it
That's a cool idea for a membership. Maybe something I'll keep in the back of my mind for the future. Cheers, Jason!
The music in this one was a NICE choice.
Greetings from Mansfield, up the road from you. ;-)
what is the name of the song?
A nice review!
However could you please let me know how to buy the glass you are using, for me it look very nice.
Thanks
Need to join. I visited their store in Edinburgh when we visited about 10 years ago. Brought back some cool stuff that is long gone.
Joined and they were told it was because of M&D!
Just got my mash and drum glasses and they stand out as the best looking glens and whiskey glasses on my bar. That logo pops real nice.
Thanks buddy! My glass guys does a great job.
Great reviews; dig the music intros and videography you apply to your reviews, definitely sets apart from other whiskey channels.
Thanks wave!
@@TheMashandDrum Could I bug you on what glassware you're going with here?
@@wave640 yes they are called Copita glasses.
Nice review Jason! I knew what you meant when you said butta peekin but I also got a mental picture of plumbers crack! LOL
Anchorman and Parks & recs clip.. fantastic

Killer B roll!
I've only seen one bottle for sale in the States. And while I can join do they ship here?
They ship pretty much anywhere in the US with a few exceptions.
www.smwsa.com/ that is their webpage. Call and ask if they ship to your state. They are very helpful. Never had a bad bottle from them.
Great video. I think I might have to join.
Scotland cork pop 😂 Great review!
Liked the ADHD tribute "Scotland" pop lol. I just picked up Inferno Toffee Pudding from SMWS and it's simply incredible.
I'm definitely joining this club

Heard the news man. Take your time , we will gladly wait.🙏

They are working on some other american whiskeys. They just released an american single malt
Creme brulé I'm thinking for the 2nd bottle. I bet those are delicious. Jealous.

So where did you get that opening music?
Epidemic music

Agree!
It's pronounced Edinburo (gh is silent). I'm Scottish. You did pronounce Islay correctly 👍
Haha. Nice. I will take note of that.
$100 a year for the privilege of buying their $200 bottles No thanks my bourbon is expensive enough!
Not if you live in a state where you can’t get it!!
Ship it to a friend like I do.
I’ll look into it I’ve wanted to do this for a couple years now!!!
I have a opportunity for you to show case your talents in Findlay, OH. Could you please check your Facebook messenger? Thanks Scott
