Hello everyone. We've been experimenting with a bit of a podcast (a few people were asking for audio versions so they can get Biographics while doing other things)! Fair warning: none of these are new biographies, but rather me having a bit more of a free form chat around the script. I'd love to know what you think, if these are useful, wanted etc :). Thanks, Simon.

using the word "all American" is racist, it only means good looking white American. no other race gets refered to as all American not even native americans lol
Wasn't the girls name Elizabeth Kloepfer. You said Meg. He met a woman in Seattle in 1969. Her name wS Liz Kendall aka Elizabeth Kloepfer.
I enjoy Criminally Listed. Nice of you to mention them.
No it's not. One could easily describe many others as "all American" . ex Dulé Hill. Even Oj Simpson was called "All American"
Hi Simon, I love both the RUclips and podcast episodes. Your storytelling translates very well. Thank you for the hard work!
Imagine being the person whose life was SAVED by Ted Bundy.
It was me. He was a great man. He saved me from drowning. I hope to be like Ted, a very warm and friendly, caring and compassionate human being
Having your life saved by serial killer. Hahaha.
@@ClassicRock1973 is this real?
@@elizabethtrotter3072 Ye it is.
@@ClassicRock1973 He totally wasn't compassionate towards the people he raped brutally, tortured, and killed or their families. But hey if that's cool with you then i'll let you do you.
"Society wants to believe it can identify evil people, or bad or harmful people, but it's not practical. There are no stereotypes."
- Ted Bundy
i don't know if this is a genuine quote but it's really fitting to his case.
john pardon
Google it
I don't recall where I read it but he did say it.
The subject of Hannah Arendt's Eichmann in Jerusalem. Good stuff
😈Ted: To spot a deceitful n calculating serial k like u it's not possible yet, but with th advances in Psychology &Technology we will get there one day. The bad & harmful individuals do have a stereotype & are not impossible to catch. Am I bad if I say don't RIP.?
While I appreciate this show doesn’t want to go too dark.....but so many Bundy docs completely ignore the pure and shocking brutality of Bundy’s murders. He didn’t just rape and murder....he beat them mercilessly, he bit chunks of flesh from their faces, he bit their nipples off, he raped their corpses, sometimes days later. He was an absolute monster. Their suffering in the last moments of their life, I can not even begin to imagine.
He is truly a modern day Jekyll and Hyde. His excuses for his behavior were borderline absurd, he became a “born again Christian” in prison. He strung on his execution by offering information in his last days about locations of bodies. He succeeded several times, until eventually they had had enough. At his execution, people outside the prison applauded, and even shot off fireworks.
Yeah, I remember the story that he would keep some chicks head on the passenger seat of his car, so that he could give "himself" the occasional blowjob while hitting the road. Of course the thing began to stink after a few days and so he just tossed it out the window. But when it comes to pure sadism, Ted is far from being on top of the list. To mind come HH Holmes (think this channel made a video about him, but which was as trivial as this one), Henry Lee Lucas or the Rostov Ripper, Andre Chikatilo. Even the 3guys1hammer video, which was uploaded (and deleted straight away) on RUclips, showing the Dnepropetrovsk Maniac "at work", made Ted look like a quireboy.
While I appreciate Ted Bundy......
Charming !
Thanks for cheering everyone up
You would like rob gavagan he tell the history of serial killers and criminals as well as the gruesome brutality do their crimes
Oh, I wonder how Stephanie reacted when she saw that all of his victims looked like her...
He probably wanted to kill her but couldn't bring himself to. My question is why at long last when Stephanie is talking with him serious about marriage that he got cold feet. It is what he had wanted ever since he first saw her.
Ted worked hard so he could prove to himself that he could get her.
Once that was confirmed he had no further use for her in his mind.
What he did was simply payback.
@@tristramcoffin926 like everyone has already said, was a show of power.
@@tristramcoffin926
He couldn't kill n play any more if hitched up
He like the illusion
@@tristramcoffin926 a lot of the time, when you think back on something that you had, it almost had, in this case, and then the opportunity arises to reclaim it, the reality does not measure up to the expectation. She had been his Venus: rich, aloof, high class. Now she was just another woman, willing, even grasping. He could never have the goddess of his memory, and she was a constant reminder of that.
He didn't just hang up on Stephanie. He took a deep breath, sighed and said in near monotone, "Stephanie, I don't know what you're talking about." THEN he hung up. Maybe it's just me, but somehow that seems so much more insulting.
Women like to have the final word. Well, that's just what he gave her, not so?
He really did have a penchant for the poetic, didn't he?
Also, I'm still compelled to believe he was the product of Sam's alleged incestuous rape of Louise. That sure would explain a lot of things.
@@fenriz218lol exactly but we have to say it
'Stephanie Brooks' is Dianne Edwards, and 'Meg Anders' is Elizabeth Kloepfer.
I still can't believe he had a daughter on Death Row....

Luis Diaz it is
Luis Diaz .. for seriously tho hey
Binging with Biographics.
Yeah its dreamy!!! And with that accent...Lawd have Mercy!!!
Just making up for the bald. Pathetic.
what's crazy is he said to one of the interrogators something along the lines of "I'm not the guy you're looking for, but IF you find the guy who did this, he would have murdered in the 3 figures in 6 states"
Ted was talking in third person here, and if he's telling the truth; it means he killed over 100 people. as opposed to the 36 which he admitted to.
Is there a total kill count for Bundy?
Not so uncommon among serial killer with a narcissistic streak. For one, they are proud of their work and want "part of the glory", even though they don't want to get caught or confess (obviously). Plus, goading the police and playing Sherlock Holmes regarding their own crimes, gives them a feeling of superiority over the interrogator, which they often believe to be intellectually inferior.
But then, one shouldn't forget that many killers are pathological liars (especially Bundy), who would tend to exaggerate literally everything about themselves. My estimate would be between 60 and 80, but certainly no more than 100. Here was another unusual thing about Bundy: though he had his favorite type (the typical american college girl, with long, dark-brown hair), he would also kill across the social and racial barriers, killing hookers and black girls, who would not necessarily get reported as missing. Thus, the real number we will probably never find out.
fenriz218 how do you know he killed prostitutes and black women? And where does this more contrarian number of 60-80 come from?
his lawyer also said its over a hundred, including one man he killed.
@@markfryer9880 He was charged with 36 murders, though he likely killed many more than that. I would estimate around 50+.
Why don't you do a video on Alan Turing. Born 1912-1954. He cracked the enigma code. His efforts were pivotal in shortening world war 2.
Jack I hope this comment gets to the top.
Super interesting guy! Highly recommend
Ooo yeah! Good call!
No doubt. What a bittersweet story that is.
Jack: We very likely wouldn't be viewing, and commenting on, this video here on AdTube were it not for Turing's contributions relative to the development and evolution of computation technology.
What that judge said was simultaneously amazing and heartbreaking. He *would* have made a good lawyer if he didn't piss it all down the drain for his depraved bloodlust.
But on the bright side, he chose the less evil path!

Every show I've seen on Ted keeps mentioning that he was good looking I just don't see it.
Hahah I've seen people call him "serial killer good looking " I don't even know what that means.... most people are idiots...
He looked like Andy Kaufmann.
Probably because different people like different things. Hope this cleared things up.
he changed his looks a lot, black and white photos can make things less clear and the standards were different then. he was good looking for the time, not necessarily now
beauty is in the eye of the beheaded... or soon to be
My mother did some work for Ted Bundy's last victim's grandmother. Even 30 years after what happened she had her entire house dark and blackened out. All over the walls were photos and newspaper clippings about Bundy's last kill, the case, and all the way leading up to his execution. Very sad, he left so much destruction in his wake.
“Tik tok on the clock, but the party don’t stop”
-Ted Bundy
Ain't no party like a Dahmer party, cause the Dahmer party has the best snacks.
@@matthiasnagorski8411 you haven’t been to a barbecue at Ed Gein’s place. It’s to die for, I swear.
Ted, the Tiktok girl
You mentioned Ted's relationship with Ann Rule, but I'm surprised that you didn't recommend her book "The Stranger Beside Me"
Zachary Phillips-I read this book when I was ~12-13. It was the first book I had read about Ted Bundy. I was instantly hooked and remain fascinated by Ted, and other serial killers, to this day (I am 43). I just like to try and figure out what makes them tick; what happened to create these inhuman monsters, you know?
This video was rushed.
Rene Aensland > why do say asmuch
He did not do so because, Ann Rule is already dead, and her greedy kids are just collecting the fees she earned and wasting it.
He also didn’t mention how bundy had a kid well on death row
He liked to have sex with corpses. That’s “why”, if there was a why.
A sociopathic necrophiliac, he was.
Don’t think of him as some genius charmer. Think of him in the dark of night, rolling in the dirt of a trail in the forest, pumping away with his genitals stuck inside the putrescent flesh of a decapitated corpse that has been rotting for a week.
That was Bundy. That’s what he did with those women.
A disgusting monster, he was. We humans can be such revolting monsters.
Yuck!
Joe Arnold and that’s how I met your mother kids !
I would rather not think about that, thanks.

@Joe Arnold : Perhaps _you_ enjoy thinking about those types of things, thankfully normal people don’t sit around and imagine the things you described in such vivid detail.

Simon, I am really enjoying all your Biographics. Thank you for your time and dedication for constant awesome content!
Here is another man you can do a video on. His name is Robert Leroy Ripley. He wrote that ubiquitous comic strip called Ripley's Believe it or not. He made $500,000.00 a year in the 1930's. Not a bad sum of money to travel and live on.
Jack Not a bad sum at all. I always wondered who Ripley was in those "believe it or not"s.
He is fascinating.
Fascinating as usual.. Might I suggest someone from ancient Rome? Julius Caesar, Augustus Caesar, Mark Anthony, Cleopatra, Vespasian, Vercingetorix, Caligula, Nero, the list of infamous people in that era is endless...

Great reporting! Lots of info I didn't know.
Criminally Listed brought me here!👍🏼
I eagerly await each new episode. Great information. Great entertainment. Love it.
Great video, well presented. Arrived here through criminally listed, but will be subscribing 👍
Ted's girlfriend's name was Liz. Meg Anders was a pseudonym.
Yeah, and she’s talked out about it and wrote a book. I don’t know why they need an alias for her.
Criminally Listed is soooooooooo good!!!!!!!! Just found this channel searching for historic vids of Marie Antoinette, so far I love it and subscribed!!
I always "thumbs up" your videos before I even watch them because I know they're going to be that good! (and ditto for your other channels too) 😉
Sounds like something that one of Ted's groupies would have written on perfumed paper and smuggled into jail... :-/
I don't......
I will say that as always you've shown a great deal of class while discussing a sensitive subject. You didn't fall into sensationalism, didn't go into the gory details of the murders and showed the victimes face a lot. It was a very human way of presenting such an inhuman series of murders.
He didn’t even buy her a Christmas present 😂😂😂😂😂
Do you touch yourself often?

These videos are so good. Great content, Biographics!
These videos are amazing. Thank you. This channel deserves a much bigger following.
We are growing
Here is another biography you can have fun with. My suggestion is Scott Joplin 1868-1917 he wrote many piano rags. I think some of his piano music was adapted to Charlie Chaplin movies. You could have a lot of fun with this biography.
Scott Joplin would be great. Sun ra too.
His music was also featured in the '70s movie "The Sting" starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford. IIRC "Maple Leaf Rag" was the opening theme song; at least it was the one that became popular and brought about a short revival of his music around 1974 or so.
Scott Joplin was from my hometown!
Great video! I like the format of these videos, they're educational and informative while still being super interesting.
The video was very well put together.
I love biographies of every kind. Ted Bundy was the first serial killer profile I had read about, in Reader's Digest, decades ago. Love your other channels.
And Criminally Listed is an excellent channel, for sure.
The confession tapes on Netflix gives ypu more of an indepth insight into not only him, his family and his victims, but also the victims that had to interview and deal with his case. You can see the pain in their eyes.
Love all of your stuff! Keep up the great work!
Tiny question could you show things on the screen behind you? And what's with the little purple light reflection?
Wow Simon way to go on this one. Ive watched many docs on serial killers and never knew ted was from Tacoma Wa which is actually where I live.. Crazy. You sure do your research which definitely shows in your videos. : )

Criminally listed is one of my favorite channels!! But you'll always be at the top of my list!! You the man Simon!!
As a person from Utah, I want to say your pronunciation of Lehi sent me into a giggle-fit. 😂❤
Great video! Serial killers fascinate me.
You didn't mention that Ted's brother Al moved to Chicago and became a shoe salesman
Biffa Bacon 😂😂😂
Unlike Ted, Al wasn't too fond of sex though, especially with his wife Peg.
Theres an interview of a prison guard I had to watch in college and he said Ted Bundy cried for years and asked him if he's going to Hell. How true this is...I have no idea. But that's what the prison guard said. And when the interviewer asked the prison guard "are you happy he was executed?" And he said "There's nothing to be happy about."
Good video Simon.
I’m already subscribed to Criminally Listed! Great channel!
Hey Simon, i have a suggestion for your channel. I remember you made a bio episode on some kind of business company. The viewers can vote to what you do next and in the voting site there is only suggestion to write in names (peoples names). But is there a way to vote on bio of some business, like apple etc.? Can you figure something out? Its just my opionion but i think people would be very interested to see more bios on business companies, especialy in the way you do it.

What happened to Meg and her daughter? Did he leave her when he reconnected with Stephanie?
At what point in his life did he find out the truth about his parents? Did his family ever tell him that his mom wasn't his sister?
the best way to get answers to all of those things read the book Stranger beside me by Ann Rule
LoveNathasha no idea about meg or her daughter, but he discovered papers in his mom's room and confronted her about it and she told him the truth. One of the things that broke him along with losing Stephanie again
Basically when he was shown that his world was fragile then he decided to demonstrate that fragility to others by manipulating them at will. The mother/steph/hating women angle is pretty acute and most violent psychopathy is basically just a pronounced Freudian death wish.
It's also pretty clear that Ted never really even understood himself. It's like the whole nightmare was him spinning out of control
LoveNathasha; the Wikipedia article briefly summarizes Meg's involvement with him, beyond his initial departure. Basically, she maintained on-and-off communication with him. At first, probably out of love, but as she began to suspect him to be the serial killer in the news, she called the police numerous times, leading them to him and continued contact, probably because she was hoping it wasn't true. They still talked a few times early in his jail time.
The book by Anne Rhyme is excellent in this regard. The fact is, nothing in specific triggered this kind of response, and nobody could've predicted it. There were many elements throughout his life that were unstable and even false. But this is true for many people. If Stephanie's initial break up with him caused a melt down, then it is not because of the break up, it is because he held a particularly rigid and inflexible, fragile grasp on reality, along with an abnormaly vengeful personality. How can you know if a person will react in this manner to being dumped until they are dumped?
There are many intriguing elements to Bundy that this documentary didn't mention - but that is normal for ANY documentary on Bundy, as his story is so unique and so utterly filled with quirks that there are too many to list. I suggest watching more.
One thing I think most fail to point out is that he is SUCH a sociopath that he was actually surprised when eyewitnesses even NOTICED him. He was shocked that the victims' families even NOTICED the girls were missing. In his mind, if a person didn't talk to him directly, he thought that they didn't notice him ...at ALL. The detectives had a hard time finding evidence, but it wasn't because he was so good at hiding evidence ...he didn't think he had to worry about evidence, because if a person didn't talk directly to him, he thought they never noticed him or were even aware of his presence. He was just brazen and quick.
He was a habitual liar - he thought if he told you how it was, however HE wanted you to believe it was, then you simply had no other choice than to believe him. Despite all the evidence and whitnesses, he continued to deny his guilt for a long time, even when there was no arguing with the truth he continued to deny. He believed truth was whatever you make it.
His evil tendencies never showed because his world had never fallen apart. He was so emotionally invested in a relationship with Stephanie that when she dumped him, his reaction was so much better anger, that even after she took him back, all he wanted to do was to pay her back. This documentary didn't mention that when he had been pursuing a re-union with her for all those years, simply so that he could dump her! He had the opportunity to restart a life with her, but all he wanted to do was to make her feel what he felt when she dumped him. He could've had the love of his life, but instead, he just wanted to hurt her back. That is a definitive aspect of a psychopath - no forgiveness, no empathy, no remorse, just ego-driven revenge.
Nat Rudulph thanks for the info
I am thankful that your focus was not on the violent details. I enjoy learning about people's lives, infamous or otherwise to better understand humans. There are many who would rather glorify violence and gore for it's shock-value even if the educational value of such details are nil. Well done.
Joseph Gollaher In regards to Bundy, the violence in his final murder spree is important to note. His almost animalistic attacks left a bite mark that sealed his fate but good and it was a huge departure from his usual MO. It shouldn't be understated.
I love these videos so much but the audio is so low , is there any way you could consider raising it a bit In the future for those that listen at work and such

Deividas Melnikas Shtaufer
I believe he came to a place of repentance seeking to speak with Dr James Dobson.
I think he was having some 'fun' with the good doctor. =/
Kristin Jenkins that’s certainly possible but for his sake I hope he came to a place of sincere repentance
For his sake? If you are worried for his spiritual well being before he was executed, then you should hope he did not repent. That would have been a horrible burden on his sanity. No, psychopaths are physiologically unable to feel sorrow for other people. This was certainly a last ditch attempt to stir things up or a genuine regret over causing his own demise.
If you are speaking of the well being of his soul in the afterlife, know that there isn't any. And if there was an afterlife, wouldn't that be a joy for him to meet his victims again?
Deividas Melnikas Shtaufer is that religious argument ?
Great video, loved it. Any chance for making a video about Carl Panzram any time soon ? He's a rather interesting individual, destructive to put it mildly, and not a lot is known about him.
