I was living in Milwaukee while he was on trial and here's an interest tidbit they left out. During his killing spree in Milwaukee, he went to the county mental health hospital to see a doctor, telling them that he needed help. Sitting in the waiting room for hours and not getting in to see anyone, he got bored and left. His killings continued. Also, the apartment building he lived in was subsequently torn down and turned into a park.
When I was in high school I attended an intro to law class (I live in Green Bay Wisconsin) and we got to talk with a member of the Brown County Vice officer and he was friends with the two officers who let that 14 year go back to Dahmer's. He said it mentally scared them for life.
He seemed so calm but in an interview the interviewer tried to pass some of the blame to his parents and he lost his mind. "They had nothing to do with this! I'm totally responsible and alone in my actions! They were loving parents and only wanted what was best for their son!"
It was the only thing that impressed me about Jeffrey. For once someone owning up to THEIR actions. It’s always someone else’s fault no matter what they’ve done. I understand that people go through sometimes horrific things but ultimately what you do is on you, no one else.

Actually, you don't have to imagine what it was like. According to the police officer who was the first to open the fridge, when he opened the fridge and saw the severed head inside, he "heard someone scream". Later, he asked his colleagues who it was that screamed when he opened the fridge and his colleagues looked at him confused and said, "That was you!"

I think that it is the fascination about the mind of someone so deranged, because as social creatures who live in groups killing people from our groups is a behaviour which is incredibly odd and realistically nonsensical, we can understand killing or fighting people outside of our own groups, but to kill people who you live next to is a behaviour so beyond macabre and deranged.
I think there are a lot of different reasons for different people, and they all come together to make videos like this quite popular. You get the psychologist types that are curious what the pathway to people becoming deranged is. In a similar vein, you get people that look for confirmation of pre-existing views of what evil people are like and are just mining for evidence to back it. You get people that know someone that is similar, and they want to be aware of red flags and possible outcomes. Then, as Jordan Peterson would say, we all have potential to do positively malevolent things, and denying it only makes matters worse. It's important to learn how to identify them if you ever meet them in real life. Too often people just overlook strangeness because they just don't want to get involved.

Great video as always. Minor technical nitpick: Jeffrey Dahmer never had a killing spree. In police terminology, a spree killer is someone who kills several people suddenly in a matter of days or hours. Dahmer was a serial killer, someone who kills several people gradually over a long period of time, often with long gaps inbetween kills.

Great video! One misleading fact, though, the picture of Bath Ohio was actually of Akron Ohio. A picture of downtown Bath Ohio is nearly impossible because there’s not really a downtown Bath Ohio. All you would see is the Townhall, a police station, a fire station, and elementary school, and a church at a crossroads. It’s right down the road from where Jeffery’s house.

It's important to learn how to identify them if you ever meet them in real life. Too often people just overlook strangeness because they just don't want to get involved.
been binging these recently. definitely interesting vids
Fantastic series! Keep em coming please lol. They are very informative and very professionally produced. 😀
I’m loving these villain biopics!
Biopics is the right word, right?
one thing i havent seen any comments about but think is worth mentioning is that there is a graphic novel that goes quite in-depth about his early life. its written by and from the perspective of one of Dahmer's friends. its not that long, but it is very well written. Its called My Friend Dahmer (it was the base for the movie of the same name) written by Derf Beckderf
Man the algorithm loves you. My recommend feed is full of your videos with only one exception. Your wierd RUclips.
Wonder how many other Jeffery's are out there right now...... scary lol
Ivan Bryan not nice to say
Yeah, just thinking about all the monsters like Dahmers that existed throughout history undetected is a revolting thought.
@@ashantinyongo7632 Just go to any South American country and they are practically everywhere. Check out Best Gore dot com for all the "contribution" made by Latinos to society 😂😜
@@mogabriel5238 здравствуйте как дела 😜
We try not to think about it...
Great videos dude! Helping me stay smart during the self isolation!
13:52 is clearly John Wayne Gacy, not Jesse Anderson 😂😂....I'm a new sub btw, I LOVE this channel and the presentation.
Keep it up bro all philipines fans of you always waiting for a new biographic contents great job
I honestly think I’m going to be sick.... but great video though
13:51 The picture you've used
is of John Wayne Gacy's.
I agree with Partisan . Give Tito a show ! I know you don’t do long programs but Tito deserves an hour ! What he did during WW 2
Richard Putz fuckin commie
Uploaded on my birthday. Cool video
Dahmer is actually the subject of one of my favorite Slayer songs, "213." It's named after the apartment where he committed a large portion of his murders.
Ted bundy: Yo Jeff you got any ice cream in the freezer
Jeffery dahmer: nah bro just ben and jerry
Great, I was just about to go to sleep, now too creep'd out.
You have the best bio of him on here
When will you do one about Carl Sagan?
First
Video on my subscription list
Thank-You Simon for ALL you do. And a BIG SHOUT OUT to your Staff as well!!!! Could you maybe give us a HAPPY STORY next time?! What about Shirley Temple or Fred Astaire?!
how is shirley temple a nice story??
Didn't Fred Astair used to get drunk and beat Ginger Rogers?
Liberty GiveMe oh no... those stories ain't nice
Amy - Oh, I don't know!!!! Maybe because she was America's SWEETHEART, and her movies were CLASSICS!!!!! And before you reply, yet again, I KNOW THE BACK STORY!!!!
Barbarosa - Don't think so! Heard tell Ginger Rogers would BURN HER DAUGHTER WITH A CIGARETTE!!!!
Biographics did before Netflix 💓😌
Any chance of doing Martin Bryant? I know he's closely related to the sensitive topic that is gun control, but I think he's a very good candidate considering he has an "interesting" history and his act of mass murder impacted the entirety of the Australian population, it was also one of the largest single person attacks in recent years.
The you will get all the loonies claiming he was set up.
Why am I watching this? Oh yeah. I’m addicted to this channel now I’m in quarantine.
Interesting one. Would you be able to make a video about a philosopher of some kind?
There is a Norm McDonald joke about the pastor. Joking the pastor was thinking that it was funny that he made Dahmer think he was going to heaven.
I will never forget the exact date that I first went to Six Flags Great America because on the drive there from Milwaukee there was a news bulletin on the radio that stated they had arrested a man named Jeffrey Dahmer in connection to a mass of killings. Tuesday, July 23 1991. Also, the Shock Wave roller coaster gave me a headache. Fun times.
did you purposefully put a pic of john wayne gacy over the part where you said "jessie anderson" 13:51
I like how honest your channel is... Dahmer was a monster
Most engaging series on Facebook. I have to be careful clicking on episodes, because I know I'll binge watch for hours!
I love the hell out of this channel, great host!
I enjoy your videos (as much as one can), could you make one about Dennis Nilsen or the Wests please?
Rest In Peace to those he killed.
Stumbled across this channel and have to say I'm totally hooked . Fantastic and fascinating videos
Have to say if you're going to do serial killers you need to do ed gein. .. the inspiration behind leather face, buffalo bill and so many more on screen killers
I grew up in Chicago back in the 1980s and I was pursued by Dahmer in 1986. I managed to elude him by leaving my workplace at different times and different directions.
@Kathryn M - Yes and I believe it was him. It looked just like him.
@@TomTobin67 Im from Chicago but was basically a kid when this went on, what part of chi were you from & how old were u?
@@HOODKINGSofficial - I am not lying. I'm 52 years old and I grew up in Rogers Park but when I returned from the military, I lived at Irving Park and Elston.
@@TomTobin67 OK I believe you, he was prowling the streets, so it's not that far fetched, did he try offer u work
@@HOODKINGSofficial - No, he used to follow me when I was leaving from work for home.
Imagine being the person that owns that house and is like I just moved in here.
From a psychological standpoint, I would've loved to talk with these types of guys IF they would've talked openly and honest about everything.
Why is your picture of Jesse Anderson a picture of John Wyane Gacy?
The amount of comments diminishing his monstrous actions just cos he was aware that they were wrong is sickening.
Stop fanboying everyone. This guy was a nutcase.
I love this channel
You should do one on Jimi Hendrix
Yes
Another great one in the can, Simon!
Great video as always. Minor technical nitpick: Jeffrey Dahmer never had a killing spree. In police terminology, a spree killer is someone who kills several people suddenly in a matter of days or hours. Dahmer was a serial killer, someone who kills several people gradually over a long period of time, often with long gaps inbetween kills.
your biographies are well done, too bad you couldn't make them a bit longer........but you do get across all the pertinent information. keep them coming!!!
Spot on! I grew up there.
I love that in the Demolition Man universe, he's still cryo frozen and doing his time in 2032.
Please do Alexander the Great or Hannibal of Carthage
He did Hannibal already..
And Sulla
Hey Biographics
I Love your series as it is very informative and interesting ❤️🔥
May you please do episodes on:
1. Gordan Northcott (Wineville Chicken Coop Murders, which may interlink with the missing case of Walter Collins)
2. Ranavalona I (The sovereign of Madagascar, who established a reign of terror and brutality amoungst her nation)
Thank you so much🌺
Why is there a picture of John Wayne Gacy, as one of the men that he was cleaning the bathroom with? Am I mistaken...?
No, you're correct. It is John Wayne Gacy.
I guess they knew each other
@@Makarosc No, he admitted he put the wrong picture. He does that a lot.
Did you know Jeffrey Dahmer had dandruff? When the cops raided his house, they found Head & Shoulders in his bathroom.
*glances nervously at bone collection*
My family immigrated to Milwaukee in the late 70s - literally while Jeffrey Dahmer was doing his whole thing, my dad lived in the apartment building next to his (they probably crossed paths at some point in time), and then my aunt (my dads sister) was a teenager at the time and one day she was at the mall with some friends, one of which was gay, Dahmer approached my aunts gay friend and was literally trying to get him to come home with him. Of course my aunts entire friend group thought that he was weird asf so everyone, including the guy that was being offered to come over to Dahmers apartment, was like hell no and they got outta there.
IMAGINE being the priest that had to baptize him after he was already guilty! I'm surprised he didnt drown him in the holy water 😂😂😂
These videos are so fascinating
Well... that was a twisted guy. Geez
had to watch has soon as possible... great video!
