I’m 66 and this is what music has been missing for a while, lyrically no one else is touching on it as thoughtfully as F. D. C. I can’t wait till August for their next release.
I'm 53. White Welsh. Love live music. Just bought 4 tickets for these in Glasgow in December. I have 3 ladies who always attend (wife plus 2 mates). I'm Charles; my mates are Charlie's angels. They'll come and explore new music. Every year new adventures. What a life.
Banger! cant wait see them again! but do you think they could play this song louder and faster... the live versions kinda dont rock as hard as the studio version imo
104 eh! So good younger people are getting into real music. This song takes me back to the marching band at the Battle of Hastings. Song is so invigorating and always reminds me of my dearly departed friend Harold. Great guy but terrible depth perception!
Been on repeat for days, I’m sure it’s not the direction they’re going for but it gives me early Kasabian / Processed Beats vibes, especially the instrumentation
Love how they refuse to keep still musically. You get the feeling they're creatively fizzing at the moment! The dreamy middle bit in particular is strikingly Blurry, but through a wholly FDC pryzm; love the new look too! What a band!
A masterpiece in staging and direction - just watch this again and see the attention to detail in every frame … nothing happens here by chance - props to the crew on elevating a great song (Now Grammy nominated) to an extraordinary visual and aural experience. 🤩
Love this band. One of the few groups around that I would pay to go and see. Recently saw IDLES who are another band that fill me with hope for the future of music, and I'm almost 70 years old!
Oh my God the millenial nostalgia with their sound and appearance. I am 36 years old and they are now my new favourite group! I happen to hear them on the radio just now, here in Texas! I love them now. New fan!
Same! Those first few notes get me every time! And with every listen I love it more. These lads are truly on a whole different level - their music is so brilliant! Mixing different sounds, genres, instruments in such an artistic way. They’re gonna be huge ❤️
I’m 47 and grew up during a time when I’d consider the alternative music boom as a creative explosion. So many great grunge, shoegaze, and indie bands came from that era. These guys pay homage to some of them. Over the last 20 years or so, music on a mainstream level went down the tubes. This is by far my new favorite band - eclectic, bold, stylish, strong literary themes, and just well thought out songs where their experimentations will take them far with I’m sure much more great music to come. Plus, it doesn’t hurt their 🇮🇪lol
So fckn good. This song is one of the standouts this year (and their album as well). Creating a masterpiece about a panic attack episode incorporated with asthma is purely genius. Big ups to the BBC sound engineers who always work their magic.
What a song, what a band, what a drum riff, unassuming but massive complexity and talent. fooooooooook they are good....this is glasto headline stuff...
Absolute adored witnessing the evolution of these since the Dogrel tour in January 2020, they are genuinely special to see live. The genuine collective buzz of the audience takes me back to the 90's ❤
I can't get enough of this band! We're in Chicagoland, and tickets are already gone... that's OK, we're still HUGE fans...No tickets available in Northwest Suburban Chicago, but we will still dig them to the MAX!!!
@@bekipeters2843 aww, man that sucks. There might be some nearer the time when people realise they can't make it and need to sell them. That said, they only send you the tickets to your mobile on the day of the gigs for Manchester to stop scalping so that'll be difficult to sell them on the gig days.
@@peacewarrecords I think Mark is saying that it just needed that boost/change/introduction- like what Smiths, Joy division, Blur did.... It's this generation's version of those bands....
I m 135 years old and I am listening to post punk for at least 83 years and this song saved my life
Amyl and the sniffers after this then
Good Job, My Darling!

I'm 61, music these days bores me. This band though are just awesome. Tuneful, literary, stylish, confusing and life affirmingly magnificent. ❤

Same here!
I'm 68 and I love them insaneness
The mixing engineers for Jools Holland always hit the mark.
And the videographers are artists in their own right.
this is the 3rd live version that i click on because the other ones don't do justice to the msuic
@@enzodidomenico5247 Same! Just came from the Jimmy Fallon one and it felt super bland. This one hits the mark.
"I wanna make the mark, I wanna live the arc.." 😉😎
Couldn't agree more. Wish I could steal a bit of their skill.
Feels like the perfect intro song to an amazing 1999 movie
Your right. I was thinking that too. it does take me back there. good times!
You wouldn't steal a handbag
Perfect fit for the Trainspotting soundtrack.
Even their look is kind of late 90's/early 2000's.
hit the nail on the head
Has to surely be the best song of 2024, heard nothing like it for years, fantastic stuff
So so true!
Sounds like kasabian to me
Not like us
Go check out Idles, they're brilliant as well
"How many times have you watched this?"
"Yes"

Tune of the year so far. These guys are no joke!!
Easily
It's between them and The Smile's second album so far
@@Teeheehee093 only a month ago and we didn't yet know that we were getting another album from The Smile this year.
Not the backing vocal?! The hair clips.

The jib shot at 2:39 pure cinema. Incredible
As always the BBC sound engineers get everything right.
Haha I literally said the same thing before even seeing this comment.
You think? Vocals are fairly loud and could do with a bit more guitar imo
@@ARedCurtainexactly. They’re overpowering.
I was stood with my back to the sound desk. Was sonically perfect and possibly the best set I’ve ever seen.

Top work on the stage rig and live sound evolution lads. The samples and synths sound great.
