Hey could you just do a case swap for the victus 15L? i know I'm late asking you this but would love seeing a case that works for the victus 15l components.

@@McDxnaIds can tell you after having swapped that you'll have to swap case motherboard and PSU to do a case swap. So you can take cpu gpu and ssd from the victus but everything else is model specific so unless you maybe buy a bigger victus you're not able to do simple swaps

Nice work, the RGB looks great. I recently did this to my 690. While trying to change my network card I pried a fuse off the motherboard and it stopped booting. I went with a Thermaltake S100 case, ASrock B365M Pro4-F motherboard, Thermaltake TR2 power supply/Cool Master Hyper 212 Black cooler. It turned out great, especially the temps . Only gripe is I wish I picked up a more modern power supply. The TR2 is a pretty old style power supply but does the job.

I’m amazed that after all of these years the front I/O headers never changed. I’m older so my eyesight and fine motor skills aren’t what they used to be. I wish that a universal adapter extension was available.

Ok, so in then end I got big Fractal Case, same Asus board you have, PS, 1TB SSD and better CPU coller. Difference is huge, no more lagging/freezes in open world games, Warhammer 3 run also much smoother. Thanks a lot for video!!!!!!!!!

This is great, I followed your method and it worked. The only problem is that when I turn on the computer for a while the window freezes. I can control the mouse so I try to restart but the computer seems to be stuck at the restart screen forever.
You will want to reinstall win10. Get a USB stick you will need another computer to make a USB install.

The problem recurred last night after I ruled out all hardware issues, including disabling my integrated graphics and updating the BIOS, so I solved the problem after downgrading (actually upgrading) Windows 11 to Windows 10. I guess HP did some software thing that caused the system to mess up. Again, thank you so much for the video that helped me with the first computer DIY of my life.

You would just get a intel mobo chip-set that supports your gen of cpu.

The mother board is none standard. If you plan to get a mobo and psu may as well get a cheap case any ways.

No you would need a new Mobo, Psu, Heatsink & Case. Unless you upgraded to a Noctua, then you can use that. I mean you can use the stock CPU Cooler but it sucks

Nope but you can do it on the cheap. For under 250-300 if you look for sales.
I saw another video where someone did it, but it was super janky. The hp motherboard just isn't meant to go into another case. And since the power supply only really works for that board you would need a minimum of: new motherboard, psu, cpu cooler; to get things running in a new case

Is the case swap procedure the same for the Acer Nitro 50 that you've been tinkering with on the channel?
Pretty much, remove CPU, SSD, Ram, M.2 & GPU. Place in new Mobo in to the case you just got and add the PSU off to the races. I do have a swaped planed. tell me this do you think a normal ATX case would be better or a SFF case more like the size of the acre nitro. The smaller case will fit a RTX 3090 if you wanted it.
@@TNW1337 Currently I am looking at a couple ATX cases, wasn't sure the sizing difference between the ATX or the SFF since I am brand new to PC building. I was thinking of doing the cooling upgrades you've listed in your few videos but after looking at cases I figured a case swap might be the better option. I also found a B560m motherboard for cheap which really opened up that option. I like the size of the of the nitro case for sure and the overall look but the lack of a clear glass side panel made me sad

I have recently built a pc with the HP Pavilion TG01 and have almost replaced it entirely with your help. the specs as follows: MSI Gungnir 110r case, Ryzen 7 5800X, msi b550 gen3 gaming motherboard, the pre installed m.2 SSD from the TG01, NVidia founders edition 3060ti, EVGA 650 fully modular PSU,16GB corsair vengeance pro rgb DDR4 3200mhz and the MSI 240r v2 mag core liquid. With all of the being said there are still a bunch of hp files on my C: Drive and I'm wondering is it okay to delete any of those files? I reset the pc and made sure to choose to delete everything. And it has since then booted up with MSI logo and BIOS. but there are still a bunch of hp files, Is it stuck being some sort of HP version of windows? or can I uninstall every HP file? Or should I just replace SSD and get a fresh install of windows? I appreciate the response! Not like this is the worst thing in the world I am seeing Amazing performance gains compared to the 1650 super Ryzen 5 3500 combo

Most of the time you will want to get some thing better then the stock cooler. The Intel cooler should be swap able. TBH I would look at coolmaster for a cheap replacement. unless your budget can afford it.

If you use the same disk from the hp it should just boot up. it is always best to reinstall drivers when doing major hardware changes.

No, you will be just fine. if you want to deal with a new OS. I liked win10 over 11. They just made way too many sub-menus for stuff. to get to the control panel on some items is 4 or 5 menus deep. In 10 it was right there.
I have an issues. After I changed the case the fps in the games got low. Before I always played with fps 200-300. But now it’s not getting higher than 100 (30-70), it feels like I’m lagging. I updated the drivers and tried different stuff, it doesn’t really work. What can the issues be??

Nope the hp mobo will only work in a hp case.

Too much work involved, besides the motherboard is limited. You won’t be able to use a rear I/O shield, you may need custom standoff patterns if the default isn’t standard (unlikely), you will lose all front ports unless you mod a USB extension etc (no way around the SD Card), and you’ll need a power button mod. Also forgot to mention that you’ll need to bring the PSU as well, unless an adapter has been made. Do not try to splice an exact pin out conversion.
With a new motherboard you eliminate HP’s BIOS restrictions, and likely gain more functionality.

from another video i saw and when i was looking around i got recommended that board and i bought the case in the other video i saw (so it would be easier) and in that video they said you could reuse the same cpu cooler? and you say you can't? is it only with that board you can't or just no in general? i won't mind buying a better cooler just thought id try the stock one since i heard i could? before i made that purchase? thankfully what i bought is coming in Thursday so gives me time to look around for one if i need to buy one
The stock one kinda sucks. It will work just runs on the hotter side. Means Cpu will not last as long or boost as long.
Most Cpus now are like 3.0-3.5Ghz stock when not boosting and why not get it to boost all the time? you paid for it right? Kind the way I see it. With the stock one well gaming you well see it drop boost to cool the Cpu down. so this is why I tell every one to just get a aftermarket cpu cooler. I tell every one to get a noctua because they are very good coolers 1st and they also work with the HP & Acers of the world. But if your looking to save, look at Coolmaster 240MM AIo. I think you can get one on sale for like 50 or 60 bucks. Now it is not RGB but still does a great job of cooling your CPU down or if you do air look at be quite.
@@TNW1337 i ended up going with AMD's cooler and so far has been good on temps. just im kinda thinking of adding a fan under the gpu a bit since that seems to be the hottest point but not over 80's like it was on the hp was before swapping cases
@@iconicik4120 the amd cooler are way better then the intel ones I for got to ask witch one it was u had. But if it is the stock cooler from the hp that is not the stock amd cooler. I am happy you got the swap done. How is it running.
@@TNW1337 yeah its the one from amd that im using instead of the hp one. but its been running pretty smooth honestly. a few minor errors but those were from just me learning where everything went. it's a good case swap. thank you again !

I'd recommend buying a new cooler. The Stock cooler doesn't cool the cpu all too well..

Hey I have this computer and was wondering which GPUs i could get that would run games without problems? If I can? I currently get 70-90fps with everything high on fortnite but I like playing my games in epic quality lol… also some other games I can’t max out the graphic settings because I start to lag, I just want to know what GPU I can get to swap it out with or what else I can do to get better fps

Can i swap the ssd with hdd and downgrade the cpu. Because i built a pc using the cpu and ssd from this pc. And i put an ryzen 3 1200 and a 1tb in the hp pvilion and now its only showing black screen.
The board is lock so if it is a 2000 or 3000 Ryzen it will only take that same CPU type also it has to be a 65W cpu.

Just depends on your generation Intel you have, You can pretty much follow this same video swaping out the Ryzen for the Intel CPU and Mobo. The location of the plug are in the same spots.
If you need help finding a motherboard just comment what Intel gen you have and I will help.

Like intel i7 8700k 1st number is gen after the i7, i5, i3 part like. I own a i7 8700k, 10940x, 1st number is gen 2nd is normal sires like i9 i7 ect. Xeons are different but that is server stuff.

Exactly. That would've been interesting to see. There is nothing with the pre-built TG01 mobo/cpu/mem/ssd if the same CPU was going to be used. This video was literally such a huge waste of time.
