    For those interested in going dual-channel, I got the Crucial CT2K8G4DFRA32A 16gb kit today and put it in my TG01-0429. It properly registered at 3200mhz. However, the "upgrade" to dual-channel resulted in only 3fps increase across the board in only one of my games. Two other games saw no appreciable difference. So, it would appear that my config in the TG01-0429 (Ryzen 5 3600 & GTX 1660 Super) doesn't really care about dual-channel anyway as far as gaming is concerned.

    I've had the newer version TG02 (same case design and brackets, different front cover) for a couple of weeks and the only complaint is the thermals (reaching 90+ degrees while gaming for CPU and GPU). I ended up installing an upgraded CPU cooler, added three 92mm 1600rpm redux fans (1 exhaust, 2 intake). The two intake fans were installed using the black bracket on the side (had to recreate the black bracket on CAD software and then used the negative space to fill the peaks and valleys on both sides of the bracket to create an isolator gasket for the fan to only suck air from the vent holes/mitigate vibration and had to dremel a small portion of the SSD caddy to fit the fans. Now it runs like a dream but will need to rearrange the fans if I want to upgrade the GPU in the future.

    This just in everyone.. replaced my 1650 super with an rx7600..barely fit, required a small tab of metal to be modified on the back of the case since it was hitting the gpu when slotting it down into the pcie slot, one small cut later and everything actually lines up. card draws about 181 watts peak with my overclock and undervolt setup, and the gpu fans have moderately decreased the inside case temp, just need a ryzen 7 3700x to go with this current motherboard and a new cooler for the cpu and I should be set, from 4 to 8gb of vram is stunning

    I just bought one of these a couple days ago and noticed it runs a little hotter than I would like. One thing I noticed is I've never seen the power supply fan run. Is this typical with this pc? This is the only computer I've owned that I've seen this with. I tried getting an answer from the HP support people and they claimed it was out of warranty, and wanted me to send a copy of my receipt. I did then the tech guy disconnected.

      @donc786 3 года назад +1

      @@thepopatlaal i ended up installing a fan on the intake to blow air in, and an expansion slot fan on the back to blow air in, I also set up a fan controller to run the power supply fan all the time blowing air out. That keeps the case cold. I also upgraded the cpu cooler. I can remember which one but it does help. As far as I can tell the power supply fan is only supposed to come on when it gets too hot, but with such a weird power supply, I'd try to keep it as cool as possible.

Looking to maybe add a second M.2 slot with an adapter, but I don’t know if it will work or if it will choke the WiFi in the other slot *EDIT* It works! this is another possible upgrade as long as the GPU isn't too tall. I tested this port with an M.2 256GB SSD, and a 4x USB 3.0 port unit and both worked fine. attaching an m.2 NVMe to a smaller port limits it's speeds, but it still is much faster than an older SATA SSD and works great as a backup drive if you choose to upgrade the computer's stock storage

All I did was unlock and re-lock the CPU and boom turned on like a champ. It was the thermal paste that was so stuck to the cpu that when lifting it up it moved the whole cpu and module which abstructed the signals. The stock on the CPU or GPU? If its the CPU, try to upgrade it.

      @@HardwareSense actually haven't received it yet, so only judging from product images, but it looks like there's only one 80mm outflow and 80mm CPU cooler. Not sure what the GPU setup is, but ofc i will just let that be. But yeah I don't have experience with building PCs, so that's why I was asking. Only one 80mm outflow looks pretty bad. And thanks, I will try to upgrade when i get a chance. I also think I'll keep the side panel open until I get to upgrade it.

      @@nikolaisedov2295 Yes the exhaust is 80mm, that's why you would need the intake mod and upgrade the stock CPU cooler

      @@HardwareSense thanks, I'll follow the instructions in your other video. Hope the machine doesn't burn down before that :D

    scrolling down at questions I read one about the noctua nf-8 runs on 12 v. You mentioned a sata adapter. Could you briefly explain that?

      Sata to fan adapter and a fan controller if you don't want to run it at full speed
