    I have the 25L, ryzen 7, 3070, 16gb and the crash happened to me. Sent it back on warranty and while they didn't give me a report on it officially, I knew it was because it was from lack of airflow. This case has more than enough room to fit plenty of fans and HP still managed to cook a defunct and lacking design. Looking into purchasing a new case, new motherboard and power supply instead of trying to polish a turd.

    I really like the simplicity and clearness of your videos. You accompany me for the last 2 nights wile working, so thanks for that. PS: The difference in performance in this video has more to do with going from 8 to 16 GB of RAM than the dual channel, however I agree dual chn is always better. Regards from Colombia.

    This pc is great it needs better air flow forsure. I added a 120mm fan one on top and one on bottom. Both are 4 pins. But idling with not running any apps at all it sits at 30c Which is nuts! It does suck that i did buy it used but it was 600 flat. The guy smoked like a chimney too-_- had to redo the thermals on both gpu and cpu clean everything it was kinda a pain

      good deal for 600, yea air flow is an issue but I think more so with an i7, the i5 it was fine.

    It's amazing that prebuilts still use 80/92mm case fans and don't even have VRM heatsinks on their boards in this day and age. Even the cheapest modern board and case you would find online will have 120/140mm fan support and better vrm cooling. They are trying to save cost at MAXIMUM. Lenovo is probably the only one that acually has good cooling and non-proprietary components in their Legion PCs

      it costs money and aren't necessary and the people who buy them have no idea what you are talking about. All those extra parts add up to a lot of $ when selling huge volume.

    • @nushnume
      @nushnume Год назад

      @@roasthunter They're already too expensive for what they offer. I'd say bigger fans and heatsinks actually ARE necessary if you want the computer to last a decent amount of time and run quiet. Even the I/O on the back is way too limited. I had 6 USB ports on my old custom Athlon XP rig and now we're in 2023 and we see this.

    • @roasthunter
      @roasthunter Год назад

      @@nushnume these prebuilt aren't stressed and running high watt cpus, they are built up last 3 to 5 years before the manufacturer's expect you to buy a newer faster model. No point installing unnecessary parts.

    Great video but one thing to note is that if you don’t use hyper x ram you cannot clock the speed past the ram already installed (unless you have amd cpu). It’s a horrible proprietary thing hp has. But I’d still highly
    Recommend this pc I’ve had mine for 6 years now.

  • @RVail623

    Those HP PSU's are missing the normal on/off rocker switch. For future reference on HP machines that you may obtain, the motherboard bios firmware update procedure would be of interest. Their support site can be difficult to navigate, and may require installing special "HP Update" type of software, in order to do a simple bios update. Why they can't follow the example of how other motherboard brands supply bios firmware updates? Such as Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, etc.

    Ah yes the classic big brand tries to make gaming PCs and falls flat on it's face. The OMEN you upgraded on the other hand might actually be worth the prices they ask now that you added RGB. Everybody knows that's why the FPS went up, not the dual channel.

    So my comment is going to be constructive criticism and not criticism for the sake of criticizing. Videos like this kind of get under my skin and here's why... People who critic the PC, critic it as if it were used for heavy gaming such as Cyberpunk 2077, Warzone...Etc but never take into consideration what the PC was actually used for. Yes, it may be labeled as a gaming PC but probably not used for gaming at all. I've seen PC setups that look like it was made for gaming when in reality it was used more for productivity purposes. So I'm criticizing the benchmark. Manufacturers keep the PC as basic as possible not so much to save money but because they don't know what the computer is going to be used for. Anyway, that's my pet peeve but I learn a lot from videos like this.
