The guitarist was Chris Broderick. This was the first Megadeth album he played on and he's a badass.

He's a talented player for sure, but he's way too robotic to be a stellar Megadeth performer. You need to have some groove and style aswell.

Most bands can be reviewed in maybe 3 to 4 songs and you wont need to revisit. But with Dave Mustaines lyrical and musical mastery theres always a new gem to uncover

i think 1993 they had a bonus track called new world order that was released on a later album called THIRTEEN . The song was written with nick menza . He was really into that kind of stuff .

New World Order was originally on Youthanasia, so I dunno why they'd put that on this album

Megadeth has been great for continuously weaving Scorched Earth subject matter into their metal and keeping the traditional ingredients like outstanding cover art and blazing, yet clearly defined guitar work throughout their career. The written subject matter, storytelling, always drops you into some new horrible setting you'll probably connect to.

Have you heard Bodies from Endgame album? I think you'll love the way it ends. Its ends with a great symphonic type of solo duet during a breakdown, then picks back up and Chris' solo sounds badass in this one. Just an epic ending. I'm rediscovering their newer stuff and picking out the shit I can really appreciate

Chris Broderick was just hired about 6 months before this album was recorded. It's probably the best album Dave made since Countdown to extinction. I like Dystopia but this one is advertising on all cylinders. I think the line up Megadeth has now is up there with the line up from 1986 and 1990. Those first two line ups are historic and this new line up compliments them perfectly. Hopefully this next album is great. I think it will be. I can't wait for this new Megadeth album. I just wish Andy asleep would Produce it. His sound is perfect for this band. He had produced some of the best thrash and metal albums of the 2000s, with Exodus and even the last Album by Judas Priest. Great producer and a good musician who understands Thrash and capturing the perfect moment.

Try "United Abominations" from the album of the same name, or Gears of War. Or, something from Thirteen, like We The People or Black Swan. Fuuuuu... there are so many good songs to choose! \m/

I dont consider Dave to be a prophet, hes an avid reader of the bible. Hes simply interpreting passages and turning them into kickass songs.
It's amazing how clearly Dave conveys the message in his art. I can't wait to hear what's coming on the new album. The new album name already tells a message that it's about present times where you see 90% of people actually sick and dying quicker than ever (by toxicating their bodies, enhancing negative and low emotions, believing absolute garbage with their minds and completely giving up their will) so they must soon be dead. It's just the way things work, if someone doesn't yet understand that this world is governed by a set of rules such as Natural Law and Hermetic Laws which are analogous to "material" laws like Thermodynamics, Magnetism etc then he is digging himself a grave (while being already in it) with more efficiency than ever. The Megadeth's song Lying in State from Dystopia album relates to that situation. What's coming next is a grand closure of our chapter of history as a human race. There will be two races, one evolved and another devolved. One "ruled" by Natural Law of Truth, Love and Freedom while the other will be ruled absolutely by their own, shadow race who will "enjoy" their short, sick rule over the devolved humans.

The Adventures of TNT Wait till you hear 13. Dave has been through a lot in his live including dying and being brought back to life more than once. This song is based off the Alex Jones film of the same name.
I requested this track on Patreon. I asked him to watch the Alex Jones film before doing this reaction. I guess he wasn’t interested in it or never got around to it. Mustaine was on the AJ radio show promoting the Endgame album and he played excerpts from each track on the album. I downloaded the album and have been a mega fan ever since.

Honestly (I'm gonna say it) I find Endgame is slightly better than Rust in Peace it's fucking brilliant, 44 Minutes is personally my favourite song off the album and well worth a listen

I love your video! I don't think Dave is a prophet. I think he is a man who believes in the written word of God.
Chris Broderick was yet another Megadeth guitar god. This album was super powerful. I feel bad for the folks that quit listening to metal after 1990. Megadeth has been cranking out killer metal since 1986. Broderick was classically trained and can play pretty much anything and came up with some killer riffs. I liked Poland, Friedman and Kiko a little better but he was no slouch!
I think we are all underating Broderick. He was a freaking alien on Endgame album and he complimented Dave's songs there perfectly. I mean it's a great record and for me Marty and Poland are maybe more creative than Chris.......but they wouldnt fit the endgame record as well imo. it was really good timing and great hire by Dave for that. Then the wheels fell off the track couple albums later. Lol. Megadeth is the best band ever though. Cheers!
