Kevin Pietersen chats to Mike Haysman about batting in the South African conditions, what separates the good from the great and how mental strength is a key component of Test cricket.
Always great to hear masterclass from a modern day legend like KP. It gives me goosebumps to see his double ton in Adelaide 2010 and The Oval century at 2005
Great insight but it's not that the Pakistani batsmen have struggled because they've failed to adapt, this is just how our batsmen perform. :D It's not like we have been scoring 300+ runs in the UAE. In fact our coach said we score more runs outside of the UAE! SA have a great pace attack and our batsmen can't play short pitched deliveries at all.
Due to lack of preparation they are short of confidence on a green, lively track.Remembered the same happened to India as well. But what is sad to see is the lack of patience from the bowling point of view .They just want to happen too early, rather than sticking to their plans.I wanna see them bounce back strongly for the last test.
@@debabratachowdhury2589 that's the downfall when the batsmen have not given the bowlers enough runs to work with. Can't blame the bowlers for lack of patience
I am from Indian Kashmir and I love ♥️ Indian team. They are the best in the world and Kohli is my favourite player. The match between SA and Pakistan is like a national team and a under 14 team. No comparison. Pakistani team is fucked and they look hopeless. They can't play fast bowling and are scared to face Styn, Rabada & others.. SA 3 - 0 without doubt..
sorry to say but south africa wickets are not suitable to play international cricket, ICC should take notice of such wickets one ball jump up and other very low. Bowlers should be able to take wickets on swing and seam not on dead balls or balls that jump up from no where.
@@aadilgaffar7439 how it is heaven when one ball bounce over head and another bowl dead bowl? this is dangerous wicket to bat on which inconsistent bounce.

Really what they are doing... Just like they are little kids with lack of mindset having trouble to know about pitch and bowlers... Our batsmen are dancing against Olivier...
KP is the most overrated batsman, there were much better batsman with technique and skill from India,sl and pak such as ganguly, dravid, tendulkar, aravinda, Anwar, sangakkara, mahela and a lot more. Cant consider this "masterclass" but an ordinary showcase.
@@ruchirmundhra6716 come on mate mahela I can agree but sangakkara scored double centuries everywhere like in the WC he scored 4 consecutive hundreds in Australia. I mean you can never achieve a record like sangakkara while only scoring at home. Just be logical
@@ruchirmundhra6716 bro I am just telling how can someone score 12000 test runs and 14000 odi without scoring everywhere. You always don't get matches at home, even if you score heavily at home still achieving those stats is impossible without scoring everywhere. That's my point bro
Love way Mike haysman speaks and his voice..one of the best commentators
KP WAS JUST TREAT TO WATCH AS A BATSMAN AND AM FEELING THE SAME WHILE LISTENING HIS ANALYSIS ....A GREAT MAN ....SUCH HUMBLE GUY ....
KP was some of the few that never got intimidated by anyone that came against him when batting.
Mike haysman is one of my favorite commentators...
K.p. you nailed it sir.... Every cricketer has become meaning... They think to play leagues but not do much training and much practice.
BRILLIANT ANALYSIS FROM KP

And the double ton vs India in mumbai took! Acknowledge it as well

He appreciates the hard work and dedication of Dravid but many of Indians don't...
U clearly don't know how much respect and love Indians have for dravid. Dravid is adored and respected by every Indian fan

Are you begging?
Kp is legend
Kp is my all time favourite 😍😍😍😘😘😘
Kp is just marvelous
People need to learn from him! What a Legend wasted!
excellent debate..... so munch informative
Kp Sir u beauty...
Great video
Mike Haysman sounds like GOKU !!
Sean 👍😊
Kp is always ultimate
No one can match KP's flair and bravado
Technique is more important than mental strength
Not a legend, but was a fine cricketer.
Pakistani batsman.. Look this video and listen. Courage required..
Kevin Peterson got a South African English accent and not British accent. Why is this?
He was born in SA.
it’s a mix between the two

Yes, a bloke that most legends of the game call England’s greatest ever batsman. Maybe not as dogged as Dravid but definitely more classy.
