Hyped. If our own companies refuse to give us what we want, foreign developers have a massive opportunity to sweep in and dominate the field. I wish them luck.
Honestly from playing the closed alpha myself I’ve enjoyed it a fair bit! There’s some toning that needs to do but aside from that it’s honestly been a blast
Give me weather effects, more physics and destruction; with a good update timeline coming with weapons, vehicles, maps and more features. I'm all in. we'll see.
At least they nailed the small implementations - Health bars in deployment screen, leaning, clear sights on guns. These are only a few but simple additions that 2042 didnt have on launch and may not even have now
Just a note, it does feature dynamic destruction, big explosions can blow up holes in walls. Watching Jakfrag's video at one point a tank blew up a hole on the warehouse he was in, and it even destroyed a part of the ceiling. Also it was showcased in a devlog video I think.
I'm sorry, but both turrets at 4:30 look nothing alike, you're stretching the truth here... (unless you're talking about mechanics, but you said 'looks' not 'works') Apart that, the rest seems more fair. To be fair, a free, decent BF clone still sounds not bad, considering how recent BF games are approached. Personally I am more interested in the extraction mode, not those 20v20 games or whatever.
Okay, but that weapon stat menu breakdown makes me salivate. It even has a recoil/shot placement chart that seems like it updates with attachments. Why is that much detail not standard across all of these games?
The one distinction of all the similarities is that DFHO has it in the game even in pre alpha phase, while BF2042 had to patch many of these features after launch of the game ([scoreboard, marksman kill bonus, squad management] AAA studio vs third party devs --- SMH pretty sad)

8:37 I'm pretty sure there was a portion of Jack's video where destruction was seen. But it clearly was not as common as it is in most Battlefield games.
yes there is a bit of destruction on the maps but as you say it's not comparable to the old Battlefields. I would put it more on the level of Bf2042. You can break a few walls here and there, but the big basic structures can't be changed unfortunately. But that could also be due to the two maps. One is a relatively small map of a city in the desert, where it would be rather bad if you could destroy all the buildings. The other map has the feel of Iwo Jima from Battlefield V, but in a modern setting. Admittedly, there was already very little to hardly any destruction in BfV's Imo Jima.
i dont care how similar it is to battlefield which you seem to be focusing on in this video, the main point is what has it done that battlefield hasnt done? what makes this stand out from battlefield? what does it do better because from what ive seen so far people say this is a better battlefield and im here for it. No hate intended im just curious as to why this is seems to do a better job.

Copying or not, i haven't been this excited for a new FPS ever since BF1. Even with the gadgets bs, they still seem more fun to use than 2042. And the whole game and operators still have a military aesthetic.
Nice. Since EA has forgotten what this franchise is about its nice to see another developer take up the blue print I love and enjoyed. I bought 2042 for 12€ in a steam sale and refunded it. I am an assault player / medic and nearly all my teammates where grey old women... including me.
yes and no, battlefield 1 was a masterpiece but out of all the battlefields i played BF4 the most and for good reason, that game is by far the best BF game to date.
When a game is made to look as realistic as possible then there’s no real artistic design, it’s just realistic design. So anyone else that decides to make a realistic shooter will end up looking and playing very similarly. BF is not an artistic game and doesn’t do anything to stand out visually, which is fine but other games will be similar by nature.
In my opinion, it seems they are focusing more on making a functional game rather than being innovative. I've seen many people complain and wish for Battlefield to return to its roots for years now. Hopefully, EA wakes up, and the next Battlefield doesn't fizzle out immediately.
What are you even on about lol. 'Looking similar' means jack and wont stand in court as it doesn't feature any trademarked characters. Design similarities is actually deliberate and a good thing cos that makes a new game easier to get into. RUclipsrs gotta cook up drama outta nothing huh
He yapped for 10 mins about how delta is just ripping off battlefield, but didn't said about the actual "innovative elements" delta has over Battlefield. >Better classes equipment and better balanced example - the medic can heal multiple players at once, not just 1 with a few shots. >Delta has a Extraction mode which is designed and made well, its close to MWZ quality if not better lmao >Better maps design compared to 2042, yes its less maps, only like 2 , but theyre good to play in and they are so beautiful and the gameplay on them feels good Quality over quantity. >Delta has a strong gunsmith customisation that is very close to what we have in MW3 Many weapons at launch, many attachments and good level progression on the weapons with good awards such as better attachments Battlefield 2042 had 2 guns at the launch lmao and theres like 4 attachments in the whole game, thats wild And also explain how delta has in an alpha state more weapons than 2042 does after being finished ☠️ Overall Delta force might be a copy paste, but a good one They added the battlefield elements, made them better, added some good UI design, improved the maps and here we go, a perfect Battlefield Formula everyone wants oh also lol, delta is free, i think its enough for this to rip on battlefield
One of my favorite features of Delta Force is the "share loadout" option. It will give you a code, which your friend then can import, and it will automatically equip all the attachments. (If they're unlocked)
If EA wants battlefield to stay relevant they really need to nail the next title. They also really need to mitigate people choosing to play this, they should consider making 2042 free to play. Maybe give anyone who bought it getting all cosmetics and a 20% discount on the next title.
I've been exhausted by the "operator" bullshit for years already, and this looks more like a BF2042 copy/paste than a real BF experience. Instantly disinterested.

They copied 2042 and mw. But 2042 isn't even real BF game, so let them have fun. Although I'm yet to see any f2p rip off from China that didn't failed bc of mtx. And for the love of god will people stop saying "this is what 2042 should've been". @@totalguardian1436 Where did I, or any of the veteran players for that matter, said BF5 was good BF game? Even BF1, which is maybe the best casual mp fps of 2010's, falls short for classic BF game.

At this point I want a Battlefield game that is not from DICE. Since BF3 they released their games in an alpha state and at the point it got to a true release state the next slop got dropped and the one with the at that point decent gameplay got left behind. As I absolutely hate Tencent as a company and the disgusting way they copied everything from Battlefield for their game, I feel the same way to EA / DICE on how they neglected the Battlefield franchise far too long. I hope this will be a wake-up call to EA / DICE on making a real Battlefield game and to also start listening to their community on what WE want and not what the investors want.
Crazy thought but it is possible these were the actual devs for 2042. DICE's original plan was to make a BR Battlefield, so is not crazy to think they would outsource since its a spinoff of the main series.

There is a difference in terms of medic healing Pistols In battlefield 2042 the pistol flak used is not auto, and she choose whom can she heal But In Hawk ops the medic pistol is auto and generates not singular but mass healing when shot within a limited range .... It's not under the control of the medic.. It just happens Moreover , there is a smoke bomb in meds inventory, after throwing it and using a med gun on it , it creates a healing smoke/cloud , thereby a zone of healing is created It's not in the inventory of flak

Hyped. If our own companies refuse to give us what we want, foreign developers have a massive opportunity to sweep in and dominate the field. I wish them luck.
Agreed! It's like they went "fine, we'll do it ourselves like Thanos"
What did we not get in the new battlefield that in this game?
“Our own companies.” What does this even mean

Honestly from playing the closed alpha myself I’ve enjoyed it a fair bit! There’s some toning that needs to do but aside from that it’s honestly been a blast
And not a dice or EA logo in sight.
Beautiful.
Give me weather effects, more physics and destruction; with a good update timeline coming with weapons, vehicles, maps and more features. I'm all in. we'll see.
I’m not gonna complain it looks like a mix between cod and bf so should be good
Right.
Could* be good
At least they nailed the small implementations - Health bars in deployment screen, leaning, clear sights on guns.
Devs also said there will be terrain deformation in July 18 Alpha
I'm sorry, but both turrets at 4:30 look nothing alike, you're stretching the truth here... (unless you're talking about mechanics, but you said 'looks' not 'works')
Apart that, the rest seems more fair. To be fair, a free, decent BF clone still sounds not bad, considering how recent BF games are approached. Personally I am more interested in the extraction mode, not those 20v20 games or whatever.
That turret isn't even a gadget, it's a stationary weapon
It's like COD, 2042, and Tarkov had a baby. Brilliant.
More like COD MW (2020s), Battlefield series, Tarkov, and Chyner ravaged one another and bear babies...
like hitman and his 5 or 4 fathers I don't remember lol
How is this similar to Tarkov

Delta Force Sep. 1998. Battlefield 1942 2002.
Yeah.
DFHO looks like what we all thought BF2042 would be after we got 2042's reveal trailer
EA is gonna be at the court like
"Can we just play a video?"
Then pulls up this video.
Okay, but that weapon stat menu breakdown makes me salivate. It even has a recoil/shot placement chart that seems like it updates with attachments. Why is that much detail not standard across all of these games?
I love weapon customization
This game is like combo of CoD MW 2019 and BF4 and i love it. Cannot wait for the release
The one distinction of all the similarities is that DFHO has it in the game even in pre alpha phase, while BF2042 had to patch many of these features after launch of the game ([scoreboard, marksman kill bonus, squad management] AAA studio vs third party devs --- SMH pretty sad)
Good. People wanted a better Battlefield game not made by DICE. And we all know EA is never going to sell the rights, so here is the next best option for Battlefield fans.
I'm actually hyped for this. I welcome the competition.
Competition?
@@disknee6630 yes that's competition

Kinda feels like bf3 Back to Karkan dlc. I am really enjoying this game.
These are all things that any game that is trying to enter the market should be able to do.
I wish we had a game that’s part battlefield and part squad that’s a huge market right there !! And no company takes advantage of it cause they rather pursue ideas that are burnt out !

Bro: MY BROTHER IN CHRIST! I SAID DON'T MAKE IT OBVIOUS!!!

I'm excited. This game looks fun. so far it looks like what a successful 2042 would look like. And besides, if this game actually does end up being real competition for battlefield, then thats only good for us as players. DICE would then realize that they need to step up their game to keep their players. Lets just hope for the best.

@@thelittledetailscr7231it doesn't matter where on the planet their base is. EA will sue them if they don't make changes. I thought this was BF 2042 first time I saw some gameplay, the similarities can't be denied by anyone at this point.

Copying or not, i haven't been this excited for a new FPS ever since BF1. Even with the gadgets bs, they still seem more fun to use than 2042. And the whole game and operators still have a military aesthetic.
dice released this game 3 years ago and was hated for it? but now people are foaming at the mouths for operators?
People just like new shiny games
people just want a decent modern battlefield
Nah, who said people like the operators?
Crazy ain't it? A more polished BF2042 clone and folks are now in love
Nice. Since EA has forgotten what this franchise is about its nice to see another developer take up the blue print I love and enjoyed.
I bought 2042 for 12€ in a steam sale and refunded it. I am an assault player / medic and nearly all my teammates where grey old women... including me.
Battlefield got ruined once it became fast pace the last game that was good out of this franchise was BF4
yes and no, battlefield 1 was a masterpiece but out of all the battlefields i played BF4 the most and for good reason, that game is by far the best BF game to date.
@@blakemccruden9228 yeah Battlefield 1 was a good one also. it definitely was better than the newest one

Thank you for calling a spade a spade
What are you even on about lol. 'Looking similar' means jack and wont stand in court as it doesn't feature any trademarked characters. Design similarities is actually deliberate and a good thing cos that makes a new game easier to get into. RUclipsrs gotta cook up drama outta nothing huh
Yeah, that's like sueing World War 3 for having glowsticks on soldiers
He yapped for 10 mins about how delta is just ripping off battlefield, but didn't said about the actual "innovative elements" delta has over Battlefield.
>Better classes equipment and better balanced example - the medic can heal multiple players at once, not just 1 with a few shots.
>Delta has a Extraction mode which is designed and made well, its close to MWZ quality if not better lmao
>Better maps design compared to 2042, yes its less maps, only like 2 , but theyre good to play in and they are so beautiful and the gameplay on them feels good Quality over quantity.
>Delta has a strong gunsmith customisation that is very close to what we have in MW3
Many weapons at launch, many attachments and good level progression on the weapons with good awards such as better attachments
Battlefield 2042 had 2 guns at the launch lmao and theres like 4 attachments in the whole game, thats wild
And also explain how delta has in an alpha state more weapons than 2042 does after being finished ☠️
Overall Delta force might be a copy paste, but a good one
They added the battlefield elements, made them better, added some good UI design, improved the maps and here we go, a perfect Battlefield Formula everyone wants
oh also lol, delta is free, i think its enough for this to rip on battlefield
One of my favorite features of Delta Force is the "share loadout" option. It will give you a code, which your friend then can import, and it will automatically equip all the attachments. (If they're unlocked)
Silly to even think for a second that this was made for competition. EA left money on the table.
There's always a bigger fish!
Delta force is what battlefield should’ve been in this day in age, and the extraction mode is crazy too
Courts have already ruled that genre's and similarities between games isn't grounds for lawsuit
If EA wants battlefield to stay relevant they really need to nail the next title. They also really need to mitigate people choosing to play this, they should consider making 2042 free to play. Maybe give anyone who bought it getting all cosmetics and a 20% discount on the next title.
I'd like it more without the 3d spotting. Such a cheap mechanic. There's a reason I still play in hardcore servers when I play bf4
Delta Force is earlier. Revenge after years to Activision and EA.
They fucked up! Who the fuck told them to copy paste bf2042 instead of bf3/4???
But based on player streams the gameplay is more like a BF4/COD hybrid.
I've been exhausted by the "operator" bullshit for years already, and this looks more like a BF2042 copy/paste than a real BF experience. Instantly disinterested.
What 2042 should've been...
No. Both 2042 and DF are awful as BF games
I don’t remember people wanting 2042 to be a specialist cod
What is different about this game?
What's the difference 😐
As an og battlefield player, this looks like COD to me, but unfortunately battlefield tried to copy COD in recent years after COD copied battlefield in 2019. So sad. Hope the game is good though.
Only reason the kill icon is different its because u cant have skulls in china
You absolutely can, Battlefield 2042 had a launch in China.
this pre alpha seems way better than bf42 in its current stat, maps guns ect
They copied 2042 and mw. But 2042 isn't even real BF game, so let them have fun. Although I'm yet to see any f2p rip off from China that didn't failed bc of mtx. And for the love of god will people stop saying "this is what 2042 should've been". No, no it isn't! 2042 should've been classic BF, without fucking operators, abilities, weird call ins etc. Both 2042 and DF are awful as BF games
But Battlefield 5 has call ins wdym
@@totalguardian1436 Where did I, or any of the veteran players for that matter, said BF5 was good BF game? Even BF1, which is maybe the best casual mp fps of 2010's, falls short for classic BF game.
@@stoniptfosupersonic Many Battlefield fans say that Battlefield 5 is underrated and is 100x better than 2042
@@totalguardian1436 Many BF fans are BF1 rookies. Which was the whole point for dice. Dumb down a game a little to bring more players. BF 5 is a good solid game on its own. BF 1 is great game on its own. But as a pure BF game they both fall short. I agree they are both miles ahead of 2042 as games and I would even argue as BF games. But that isn't saying much since 2042 is one of the worst mp fps games made in the last 15+yrs. But that doesn't mean 2042 should have been like DF, or even BF1 and 5. So yeah im so done with DICE it is not even funny...
Battlefield is 2002 and Delta Force is 1998. You were born yesterday, don't talk sheit you have no idea about. Educate yourself!
I like how whenever there's a "Battlefield killer" or "rival" game, it ended up failing or being dead, and those games are:
WW3 back in 2022
Battlebit Remastered back in 2023
Which those games at those point are already forgotten or dead.
It looks grittier than current Battlefield which I think is needed for the next bf game
Until you see female operator with a compound bow shooting recon arrows and male operator with robotic hand grenade launcher in this game…
I hope they removed the operators.
@@kn03ee Battlefield 4 had bows. It's not robotic
So glad Delta Force is keeping you in first person when you go down. That gave a great level of immersion in BFV that 2042 got rid of...
Is this coming to consoles? I’m on XsX
I'd love to see the BHD SP become MP and have that vibe vs this futuristic version.
Crazy thought but it is possible these were the actual devs for 2042. DICE's original plan was to make a BR Battlefield, so is not crazy to think they would outsource since its a spinoff of the main series.
“Good products find themselves similar competition and on a head on copy of basis from the likes of Asian countries. The key to maintaining higher sales is consistency”

The Shark Tank Judge said this years ago in 2016
I love that there is more competition. Maybe this will kick Dice in the butt.
This is Bf4 with the steroids and themes from 2042, but unlike DICE they KNOW how to make things good and simple
There is a difference in terms of medic healing Pistols
In battlefield 2042 the pistol flak used is not auto, and she choose whom can she heal
But
In Hawk ops the medic pistol is auto and generates not singular but mass healing when shot within a limited range .... It's not under the control of the medic.. It just happens
Moreover , there is a smoke bomb in meds inventory, after throwing it and using a med gun on it , it creates a healing smoke/cloud , thereby a zone of healing is created
It's not in the inventory of flak
The hypocrisy of this community is astonishing. Spiteful players that will hop on the first chance to harass developers and shit on the games. BF2042 has been in a pretty okay state for a while now but the same people that would go to town talking about how it's horrible will somehow praise the hell out of Delta Force?
Lemme get this straight, people were complaining about:
-Specialists
-Trying to copy CoD
-Weird gadgets(like a wallhack)
among other things that we can't talk about because the game is not fully out and yet they're gassing this game to bits?
TiMi literally worked on CoD Mobile, all the animation work and how the weapons move are literally copied from that. I remember seeing an old video comparing animations and them being identical between DF and CoD Mobile. Specialists? We got em. Wallhacks? We got those too!
And for the record I don't mind BF2042 or DF. I'm exclusively calling out the weirdos in the community.
Gunplay looks more weighty and sprint speed is a bit slower. Looks dope, I'll give it a try if it comes to the US.
the black hawk down campaign is ue5 but hawk ops ue4 im pretty sure
This game looks way better than a Triple A title… sad day for battlefield…
