Only thing you missed is that this place is essentially a money glitch. Every time you save and load the game the 2 guys and money res pawns

This is used as an early game money glitch, but I used it in this way, and the robberies and people respawn, I just returned late in game, and it seems they're here, even though I haven't gone inside yet. They'res smoke coming from the chimney.

I expect pretty soon you'll be making videos on every animal in the game. Then you'll move on to every herb etc. Then you''ll be examining trees, then maybe looking at grass and flowers in more detail. Because you've scraped the barrel of this game so much theres very little left.

The Van Horn Mansion has taught me a valuable lesson when it comes to RDR2: Make sure you clear the house before you start to loot. Cause if you get the lootin they get the shootin.
If you go in and shoot the guys, take the money, and save your game, reload the save and go back in the house and the money and people are there again! I did this for about an hour. It’s a nice hack when you need some extra cash. I just made sure when I finished I just didn’t go back in the house so I can come back later. Hope that helped some people who are broke on there like I was!

What I love about this game, is the history aspect. Being from England I've always wondered why your buildings are built in a certain way and it seems to reflect on the Western style buildings

So, I was at horseshoe overlook with John and I started a camp because it was raining and I wanted it to go away. Bounty hunters were waiting for me at that location and the 2 people were awake in the house and were hostile. Thats the only reason I thought to look in there.
I remember finding this! I was riding my horse and found that mansion. I got so scared when they woke up

when I found the guys at Van Horn Mansion I walked in and the first thing I did was open that drawer that's sitting there that little stand right there on the other side of the door and they came up with guns blazing. so I never saw him sleep but they both tried to attack me saying that I went to the wrong house

about 3am...….I guess ill hide behind that table on its side and see if they wake on their own...update: I was hiding behind table and whistled for horse and they woke...apparently knew where I was cause they started shooting....there is one boarded door...and yes they have some cool hats in van horn
I found this place.. said “hello” upon entering and they both shot at me. After killing and looting them, nearby towns were attacking me for no reason! Weird experience.

If you turn off auto save, and go here, save, kill the guys take the money, save again, load up the last save, you can repeat this process for easy money, i did it about 20 times to rack in money.

I'm not gonna lie I'm kinda baiting for views, but on my newest video on Red Dead Redemption 2 Euphoria Ragdoll physics, I ran into a guy who looked very similar to the dude sleeping with the money in his hand, on the second time you went in the house.
I did this 2 I was so surprised what I found downstairs
You can go inside the mansion, shoot both players, loot them, take the money and then save the game. Load the save you just made and you can do it all over again - you get the $50 and the loot all over again and without losing any honor or bounties. You can do this till you get sick of it and build a nice wallet and go about your playing.
When you take the money both of them wake up and fight you. There’s no reason to make a 10 minute video explaining it

Best way to clear the house is to wait till night then just shoot the oil lamps and let em all burn.
Turn off autosave, kill both enemies with a bow instead to get health xp, take the money, save, reload, rinse and repeat, money glitchy.
The men were awake and arguing when I got there (at night)
I have went to a house where its was people laid out everywhere and i started searching stuff and the guy that was laying bed woke up. All woke up started shooting but u know i came out the victor lol

This is one of 2 locations that I know of where if you save the game then take out the 2 guys inside/take the money then immediately reload the game, you can get 50$ endlessly. You dont have to beat them up either, you can kill them and no bounty, Reload the game right afterwards, rinse and repeat.

I found two homeless guys inside, that tried to kill me and no money were on the table.
This is actually a glitch. If you rob them then save and load, they'll be back there with the money. Rinse and repeat.
You get unique lines of dialogue if you get wanted in the very beginning of the epilogue from Abigail and people on the ranch
and if you visit the house were you find the pistol for the second time you'll find 4 guys pretending to be dead
For people that don't know. Van Horn is to the east, not the west.

I found the house by accident, point my gun at them to found out that they were sleeping. so I tied them up, took the money for myself ....
Wait this is like a homestead you can rob just hogtie one person and ask him questions by aiming gun at them
