A jis screwdriver is the best thing ever for getting screws out without stripping them , if you don’t have one already , you definitely should get one , another great video , keep em coming
Great video! I use Extreme Simple Green Aircraft in my ultrasonic cleaners. They are aluminum safe and will not turn your carb that dark even black at times color. And it really doesn’t take much of that
I'm a fan of that LA"s totally awesome in my ultrasonic cleaner it's available at the dollar store and it does not etch the aluminum. I usually buy every bottle they have, lol. Great video bro
I just got an 84 200x for doing some work it’s rough but it’s all there and original and I know it ran because I started it couple years back. But it needs some necessities like brake fluid reservoir is rotted and rear brake seal piston at pedal. Also the front sprocket cover is broke and gone so it’s exposed. And the carb for sure needs looked at because when I fired it up fuel was leaking out of somewhere but I’ll know more when I get into it I just got it home and washed off last night.
Well I’m 6’4” 225lbs but I use it to my advantage on three wheelers to manipulate them Especially keeping the inside tire on the ground in turns. I’m going to try and post some videos of it as I go along to document and to show people even something that looks rough could be a diamond in the rough with very little work or money. It may not be a perfect example but it can be clean and mechanically strong. Most of all it’s a hell of a lot better than nothing and fun and that’s what it’s all about. And preserving them instead of rotting in a field.
Thanks, told ya I was busy. lol Actually that's a 10 liter not a 6, I was looking at a 6 but bought the 10. link in the description is the correct unit.
@@Mrcbuilds I learned about liters when I was a night loader on beverage trucks in the South Bronx. Fancy water called Perrier was a new item and came in glass liter bottles and oddly around the same time the gasoline industry tried to sell gas by the liter at a local station and much blood was spilled until it returned to gallons. The people have spoken!
Looking forward to the rebuild portion of the show as always. After a foot of snow last week, I took out one of my 4 wheel drives with oversize tires and made tracks all over my trails. Once they were pounded in, I got out a 2wd with a 2 stroke motor and lit it up. The walls of the tire tracks were so deep and solid from the cold, I almost didn't have to steer. Nothing but smiles all afternoon. Once I get enough daylight to knock down the center of the snow with the plow, then its time for the 3 wheelers. Got 13 days in a row of work ahead with only 1 day off at the end but I'll catch some good rides anyway. Later.
That 's cool that you got it running after a carb rebuild. I weigh about 240, do you think that a 200x would be enough bike for me or should I try to get a 350x, just wondering if it has enough torque to carry me. I have rode a 350x, but it's been years. I have always wanted at least one or the other. I think I'm becoming a Honda Hoarder because I already have 4 ATC's 😁
Yep, sounds like you have the illness. I'm 6ft and 240lbs, you see how this clapped out 200x moves me. If your an experienced rider of 3 wheelers, Id say get a 350x. The 200x is fun but I think after a few rides you will be wanting a bit more power. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel
@@Mrcbuilds yeah, I was kinda thinking that about needing more power, but the last time rode a 350x was close to 30 years ago on like a mint bike back then, and I only weighed like 180 back then Lol! So I'm going to be totally rusty physically, but my memory is still there from riding. I never was a racer, just a casual trail rider back then with other people. I've been seeing 200x bikes sell for much cheaper than a 350x, and that was kinda what I had in mind, but I'm glad you mentioned about wanting more, so I'm just going to see what fits the bill for me price wise, and like you have said, look and evaluate the bike to see if it's worth the asking price.
@@CJ7fun-zv2hs i have a yz450 and a 200x im 220lbs and the 200x is good enough power for me i like the power and i can manage it mines has aftermarket full exhaust system but my dad says he “wants more power” so if your good at riding and can manage power using clutch id say get the 200x cheaper and fun as heck im 6”0 and the bike fits good for me i love my 200x more than my 225dr, i ride the trike more than my 450
@@EwFatppl yeah that's what I was hoping for. I've had 2 85 250 Big Reds in the past and they were a blast to ride and would go many places. I always wanted either a 200x or a 350x just to play with and do some trail riding for fun, I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a 200x.
Thats a huge piece of wire for that jet, basically you just drilled the jet out and upped the jet size. You shouldn't use anything bigger them a piece of wire from a brand new wire brush.
Also with other cleaners like degreaser and pine sol, with heat it will oxidize more (the dark color) than without heat

You are correct, it makes all the difference in the world, got them from www.223cycles.net

Awesome, the 200x is a great platform, a tad small for big guys like me but the average adult its just right. looking forward to see you rebuild it.

200x’s are cool I have one with three engines for it 😂
Are you using a JIS screwdriver sir? That's arguably the best secret to removing carburetor screws.
Yes but if there already messed up then the wire cutter or lineman pliers work great.

I haven't ridden in snow since I was a child, sounds like a lot of fun.
Do you recommend getting one of these cleaners? I debating if they’re worth it. I clean carb the old fashion way. Does it do a better job?
I use mine all the time, i find its very through and you can use it for more than just carbs. Like brackets, brake parts any part pryor to painting.
