Many people don't truly understand the impact Jesus Christ has on History, he has impacted how we live today. Our world would have definitely taken a dark turn if he hadn't preached what he did. 7/8 of the world indirectly and directly follow what Jesus has revealed to us. All Christians follow (or atleast aim to) him, and even Muslims look upto him as their prophet.
We don't have an alternative history to compare it to. So we don't know how it would have turned out. But there is so much room for improvement in the current history, that isn't not far fetched to say it could have been better another way.

Actually Pilate had no wish to crucify Jesus, He saw that this was a power play by the Sadjucees (spelling is probably wrong, I'm no biblical scholar) and he wanted nothing to do with it. He knew Jesus hadn't done anything to deserve crucifiction but when given a chance to save this man, the jews requested the life of a man who was a truly violent criminal. He washed his hands of the blood. Also by this point many romans had started following Jesus.
What I don't understand is why didn't the priests just get rid of Jesus themselves. Instead of appealing to the Romans who wanted nothing to do with that. It might not have even happened if Pontius Pilate got out of the other side of the bed that morning.
Pilate's conversation with Jesus was centered on the Jewish leaders claim that Jesus claimed to be King: Pilate: "Are You the King of the Jews? Jesus: "My Kingdom is not of this World." My opinion is that this clarified it for Pilate and I think that he genuinely didn't want to have Jesus killed, but fear of what might happen and that he'd get the blame led him to giving in.
I mean yea...Pilate never thought Jesus was guilty of anything. That's why he asked the brainwashed crowd *three times* who he should release, because he didn't want to crucify this innocent man, but he eventually gave in because in the end he just wanted to please the crowd.

Jesus was already dead on the cross before his side was pierced! As soon as he said it is finished and the ground shook his spirit left the body! And yes he walked out of the tomb on the third day and over 500 people saw him over the next 40 days

Hate to break it to you, but science does support Jesus's existence. There were hundreds of witnesses and accounts of seeing Jesus right after he rose from the dead. Not only that, but how do you explain St. Bernadette, whose body is still almost perfectly intact even though it should have decayed long ago. Also, how do you explain the dozens of hosts that have started bleeding during mass and how they are all the same blood type: Jesus's.

‘Biblical history’, well there’s the conundrum!! You can either be biblical, or you can be historical, but you can’t be both. It’s like ‘Marvel history’, just because a book tells you that it happened, does not mean that it did.

The video was great. But, Pilate seemed to be spineless at Bible accounts but, historically speaking, he did not care. He just wanted to be diplomatic. Also, his downfall, came from his own actions, after slaughtering rebels at Samareia (there are some stories about Mary Madgalene reporting Pilate to Tiberius, but this is propably fictional). After his trial under Caligula, either he got under house arrest at Spain, or he was imprisoned at Gaul. But, either way, when someone reviews his life, you cannot tell he is spineless or weak. The Gospels, write about him and try to make him look innocent because they are trying to preach the Good News to the Romans. Having a Roman as a "bad guy", it does not help so much. PS I am not disregarding the Sacred Texts. But, the Apostles were smart men also. They knew that they lived in a Roman world. Remember that at Acts, Paul refers to the Romans as the good guys that help him. Later at the Revelation, the New Babylon is Rome, because the Persecutions have already begun, therefore, the feelings against Rome had changed forever.
@@jrsmith1998 Ok a good example, and a timely one at that, is The Nativity Story. It says that "a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered." This caused Joseph Mary to travel to, the city he grew up in/ the city of the Jews. What they are describing is a census, the Romans did it the same way we do it. That every ten years, I think they did it every ten years too, the population of the Empire would be counted for tax purposes. Now when we do it in the US do we make people go back to the state they were born in or do we count where they live? We count people where they live causes if you don't you can't find out the local tax base owes and collect what is owed. Many people don't know that one: Rome kept records on everything especially taxes, and two: most of those records survived and have been preserved. In those records, no decree went out from Caesar Augustus, cause he had been dead for 4 years. However, records show a census was being done at that time. So it was likely that there was a different reason for Joesph and Mary undertaking the trip in the Nativity Story, but they switched the inciting incident to be caused by Rome because they were bing meanies. Rome should never have been included in this story.

Many people don't truly understand the impact Jesus Christ has on History, he has impacted how we live today. Our world would have definitely taken a dark turn if he hadn't preached what he did. 7/8 of the world indirectly and directly follow what Jesus has revealed to us. All Christians follow (or atleast aim to) him, and even Muslims look upto him as their prophet.
We don't have an alternative history to compare it to. So we don't know how it would have turned out. But there is so much room for improvement in the current history, that isn't not far fetched to say it could have been better another way.

Actually Pilate had no wish to crucify Jesus, He saw that this was a power play by the Sadjucees (spelling is probably wrong, I'm no biblical scholar) and he wanted nothing to do with it. He knew Jesus hadn't done anything to deserve crucifiction but when given a chance to save this man, the jews requested the life of a man who was a truly violent criminal. He washed his hands of the blood. Also by this point many romans had started following Jesus.
What I don't understand is why didn't the priests just get rid of Jesus themselves. Instead of appealing to the Romans who wanted nothing to do with that. It might not have even happened if Pontius Pilate got out of the other side of the bed that morning.

The video was great. But, Pilate seemed to be spineless at Bible accounts but, historically speaking, he did not care. He just wanted to be diplomatic. Also, his downfall, came from his own actions, after slaughtering rebels at Samareia (there are some stories about Mary Madgalene reporting Pilate to Tiberius, but this is propably fictional). After his trial under Caligula, either he got under house arrest at Spain, or he was imprisoned at Gaul. But, either way, when someone reviews his life, you cannot tell he is spineless or weak. The Gospels, write about him and try to make him look innocent because they are trying to preach the Good News to the Romans. Having a Roman as a "bad guy", it does not help so much.
PS I am not disregarding the Sacred Texts. But, the Apostles were smart men also. They knew that they lived in a Roman world. Remember that at Acts, Paul refers to the Romans as the good guys that help him. Later at the Revelation, the New Babylon is Rome, because the Persecutions have already begun, therefore, the feelings against Rome had changed forever.
The Bible is a very strong piece of Anti-Roman propaganda.

@@jrsmith1998 Ok a good example, and a timely one at that, is The Nativity Story. It says that "a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered." This caused Joseph Mary to travel to, the city he grew up in/ the city of the Jews.
What they are describing is a census, the Romans did it the same way we do it. That every ten years, I think they did it every ten years too, the population of the Empire would be counted for tax purposes. Now when we do it in the US do we make people go back to the state they were born in or do we count where they live?
We count people where they live causes if you don't you can't find out the local tax base owes and collect what is owed. Many people don't know that one: Rome kept records on everything especially taxes, and two: most of those records survived and have been preserved. In those records, no decree went out from Caesar Augustus, cause he had been dead for 4 years. However, records show a census was being done at that time.
So it was likely that there was a different reason for Joesph and Mary undertaking the trip in the Nativity Story, but they switched the inciting incident to be caused by Rome because they were bing meanies. Rome should never have been included in this story.
Jesus Christ was more than just a good person, more than just a great teacher. He is and was the Almighty God in the flesh, manifest as a human being. His works and deeds attest to that, as do His disciples/historical accounts, and most importantly God Himself affirms who Jesus is. Please I implore you friends, that Jesus is real, and that He walked out of His tomb those many years ago, and is alive today. He willingly took the punishment for all of our sins, so that we can be redeemed and set free from slavery to sin. He said in John 6:37 that He'll never refuse anyone who comes to Him.
No matter who you are, Jesus loves you, God loves you, and created you for a special and wonderful purpose. Please call out and draw near to Him today. All who read this I love you and pray for you. ❤🙏🏻

The Jewish religious leaders were murderers, willing to slay an innocent man to accomplish their ends. Thus they plotted Jesus’ death. (John 8:44; 11:48-53) But a problem arose. They were afraid that acting against Jesus would cause an uproar among the people, many of whom respected or followed Jesus. (Matt. 26:4, 5) So after they had arrested Jesus secretly and condemned him on a religious charge, they sought to get Pilate to have Christ executed. Definitely Governor Pilate could do so, for he said to Jesus: “Do you not know I have authority to release you and I have authority to impale you?” (John 19:10) If the Romans killed Jesus on a political charge, that would tend to absolve the religious leaders of responsibility before the people for the death.
Standing before the Jewish high court, Jesus identified himself as the Son of God. The court considered him guilty of blasphemy and liable to death. Jesus was then taken to the Roman Governor Pontius Pilate. Although he found Jesus innocent of any crime, he turned Jesus over to the mob clamoring for his death.
Jesus was led to Golgotha, where Roman soldiers nailed him to a stake. Broad daylight miraculously turned to darkness. Later that afternoon, Jesus died, and a great earthquake occurred. His body was laid in a tomb cut into the rock. The next day, priests sealed the tomb and posted a guard at its entrance. Was Jesus to remain in that tomb? No. The greatest of all miracles was about to occur.
