This was a very very good, well delivered and informative video! I really like how you were able to highlight the strengths of both Malaysia and Indonesia respectively and respectfully as well, without giving off the nuance that "X is better than Y" etc. Here's to a more prosperous Malaysia and ASEAN region as a whole

Lets talk about Malaysia National Car Proton and Perodua. Also Bucati, the market still stands today, also get market to other countries as well. Tesla choose Malaysia, there is a stories about it, when the others country laugh, sit back and didn't want to help that company, Malaysia volunteer to help by using Malaysia SATS Rocket RAZAK, and it launched well. That gain Elon Musk trust to choose Malaysia and make investment to it, because saving his company from bankcruptcy, Malaysia also known as location very strategic for import and export.

Settting up a heavy industry factory needs to relook into the geographical infrastructure. Investing an motor industry on an island is risky unless the island can purchase majority of of the products. Even Singapore purchasing power cannot buy up all automobile produced if invested on the island. So workers have more skills and less labour intensive. Another thing is Malaysians can speak/read/write many languages in services like bpo. It is difficult to learn languages as it takes time. Because Indonesia has raw materials from all components for making electric cars and the technology has already been prepared for software and hardware. It's best for both Malaysia, Indonesia and Tesla to solve this matter amicably. At this stage, I think Indonesia is uncomfortable with Malaysia luring away Tesla from them. Remember that President Jokowi first met Elon Musk at his HQ in Austin, Texas on 15 May 2022 to discuss about EV and SpaceX investment in Indonesia.

There are so many types of batteries that are developed. Once Australia's Darwin taiwan LFP cathode factory is ready, we are all going to get those cathodes for sure. Furthermore, nickel in Indonesia is class 2. In China it is class 1. It show how illiterate they are about materials and technology.

@@keangwooichoo6138 "could force people to set up factories there?".. in fact, YES😏 it's not immature thinking...
Several companies have joined forces in developing EV battery in Indonesia, and several companies are building their EV factories in Indonesia...
Tesla is not the only one EV company in the world, but i don't understand why people terlalu tergila2 dengan Tesla or Elon ya? Because he's so famous??😅
You said Indonesian nickel is class 2, that's not quite right, bcs Indonesia also produces class 1 nickel and the government is building several new smelters to increase production of this type of nickel, the government even targets more than 50 smelters to be built by 2024.
And LFP is just one of the options, no worries... the ones to worry about are countries that are heavily dependent on oil...
When the indo government banned the export of raw nickel ore and only allowed exports of finished or semi-finished nickel products, the value of nickel exports has increased 11-fold in 3 years, from USD 3 billion to USD 33 billion, especially when the EV battery and EV Auto industries have been operational, it will definitely be even more profitable, so I don't think the government has made the wrong policy...
Look at Singapore, tak ada natural resources, then kita jual our raw products to them, and they make them into finished products and then sell with higher prices, dan mereka akhirnya maju dan lebih kaya raya dari kita.. kenapa kita tak buat sendiri di negara kita? Bodoh tak??

As a malaysian, I think Elon Musk would prefer Indonesia more than the little Malaysia due to conducive factors such as long-term readily market, positive environment and resources, and huge workforce in the modern indonesia. On the other side, Malaysia suffers from on-going corruption, including corruption in political injustice, unstable political rivalry between the Chinese and Pribumi Malays fighting to control the country. Malaysia also suffers from government protection in the local automotive industry, namely proton and perodua. Also, heavily dependent on foreign workers. If I was the owner of Tesla, personally I would invest in Indonesia, or my 2nd preference would be in Thailand or otherwise, I would stay and expand in China.

Battery and car raw material come from Indonesia. Indonesia has power to politize the EV Industry. I believe Indonesia will force the manufacturer to build in Indonesia,
I am not sure EV Industry will sustained while still manufactured outside Indonesia.
Well try find raw material from other country

After 350 years of Indonesia being colonized by Western countries, they realized that the potential of their raw materials only benefited the colonialists and Indonesia's materials was only exploited with little profit. Luhut was smart to say that we make the rules, not you. from there EM retreats

During a bear market, the headlines will focus on negative news, whether it's declining economic growth, geopolitical upheaval, cultural and legal turmoil, or some combination of all three. I listened to a podcast of someone that grew his reserve from $120k to almost $460k during this Red season, can you share tips on how to make such aggressive proceeds in short periods?

You would be better off keeping away from equities for a bit or, even better, seeking advice from an expert given the current market conditions and everything that is at risk with the current economy.
